    Every time I see one of your amazing models doing such great work, It blows me away to think this is a Lego machine here? Very well done again! You should have a step by step Lego making plan available as a PDF for your fans to make it too? With a listing of the Lego needed and motors etc.. Just so clever. :)

      Hi Colin, thank you for the comment. I have tried to make videos on how to build and decided not to do it anymore. It takes a lot of effort and not a lot of traffic in comparison to other videos. When it comes to building custom sets, there are so many parts from different sets so it will scare people away when they see how many things they will need and some sets are retired. if somebody will try to find parts on the bricklink it will break the budget. And at the end these projects are very complicated even for me. I wish I can share how many times I was ready to give up when some of my ideas do not work... Thank you for asking. I hope you will understand me.

    This machine is useful for that initial bit of water, but you will need to set up some automated way to deliver water to the plants after that. So maybe a machine to lay some pipes.

      It was a bit expensive, You got you feeling right . I had to buy 8 wheels and extra hydraulic. Luckily I have borrowed 2 Mindstorm motors from my friend and made cable adapters by myself. It took the most of my efforts to figure out how to squeeze all these parts into one package.

    I was always taught to loosen up the root cluster in the bottom of pre-potted plants when transplanting to ease their transition.
    Was this sacrificed because of machine complexity, or is this not necessary with these plants?

    • @TheBrickWallTeam
      @TheBrickWallTeam  6 лет назад

      Excellent question. My initial approach was to take the flow out of the plastic form and work with it. Du4ing testing it was clear that every flower hade different degree of root density and soil moisture. It made it almost impossible to hold the root using Lego elements. Simply Lego will apply too much pressure in order to hold it. So the solution was to use some sort of cage, ideally from a material that will dissolves over time. I have made a cage from a plastic net for this video. Thank you for asking.

    I have some questions: (click 'read more')
    1. Who came up with this way of drive and steering system?
    2. How did you drive the mindstorms large motors?
    3. Where did you get the plants?
    4. How did you make the water dispensing system?

    • @TheBrickWallTeam
      @TheBrickWallTeam  6 лет назад

      Great questions:
      1. Who came up with this way of drive and steering system?
      My initial plan was to build a model of the tractor manufactured in France, Vernande. Due to some technical limitation the tractor model is still in the plan, but the idea of steering and drive system materialized in Lego Garden Machine.
      2. How did you drive the mindstorms large motors?
      I have made a custom connector from Mindstorm to Lego PF, to my surprise it was so easy and I wonder why it is not made commercially so far.
      3. Where did you get the plants?
      From the local hardware store.
      4. How did you make the water dispensing system?
      This was easy, I have reuse the idea from my previous project. An empty bottle from acrylic paint was perfect for the water tank.
      Thank you, let me know if you plan to use my answers for any publication, always good to read.
