I had to do an Ultrasound test today . The said there were be little pressure.The student technician kept probing me really hard where I felt uncomfortable and my sternum is in a lot of pain right now.

I had a different type of ultra sound test done , it was with something that hit me in between my ribs and at the end of the day it kinda was sore for a few days , forgot what that particular procedure was called but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be .

A incidental finding during a MRI shows a mass on the right lobe of the liver measuring 1.3cm. I had a ultrasound performed and they couldn’t find it or see it. I was hoping they would, I’d love to avoid CT with contrast If possible.
Mobil 1 did you ever find out what the mass was? Did you have any liver disease? Hope your doing well.
@@automech01 I had a T3 Tesla MRI performed without contrast, I was hoping the high end MRI machine would determine what it is., but unfortunately they couldn’t without contrast. The size is still the same, I’ll monitor it every 6 months with a MRI without contrast to see if we have any changes. No liver disease or family history.

Well I did follow commands to inhale and exhale, that was fun haha! But nothing really hard or dangerous.
By the way, I sometimes take a deep breath and hold it in same time with my patient when I'm doing US abdomen, to know when its the proper time to ask him to exhale ^__^
Going through sonography school and being scanned by other students really improves your ability to hold your breath lol. The hardest thing is exhaling and then stopping your breath.
He told him to inhale and then exhale and inhale again space of 2 seconds. Surprised he didn't pass out!
Is his transducer mirrored or his screen? His gallbladder is backwards on the screen.

It depends on the operator expertise it's not the machine that detects cirrhosis but the practitioner using sonographic features

It made me nervous that the radiographer didn't say when the patient can breath normally again. DX
I have one every year and the one giving me this every year almost breaks my ribs and hurst me she pushes down so hard. I see that don’t have to do this. I hate that whole office. Changing liver specialist! She uses both her hands and pushes down so hard and the slams the probe up under my ribs! After one scan the doctor told me I had lacerations on my liver and made no since on why. Maybe she did it pushing so hard and slamming that probe under my ribs! The most awful experience in my life every year!
Hey... would a full body ultrasound scan pick up things like connective tissue problems ? Internal scar tissue / systemic scleroderma? And issues with the lymphatic system ? Thanks

I had my liver ultrasound this morning and it hurt. Like the pressure lol. And the gel was hot warm. It only took a few minutes tho. I have something about elevated enzymes in my liver..don’t know exactly what that means tho.
