    God please hear my prayers. I’m trying to be strong but. I am so dishearten because the devil has sent many people to destroy me on this app simply for asking for prayers. It’s so discouraging. I want to give up. So please pray for me and my children. Prayers are all we need. But No matter what, I face I will continue to trust in Jesus even as I struggle to support myself and my two boys. I will never lose hope. As a single mother things are hard on me. My husband passed years ago I’m alone. I’m overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place for all workers in hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid must be vaccinated against covid 19. I’m waitressing and I’m so thankful to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. But God has protected me and my children. That’s why I refuse to give up on my faith. I know God will provide. HE HAS so FAR. God is real and WITH HIM ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Thank you Jesus.

      As single father for 17 years I know what you mean. I had to give up my military career to look after my children. It has been lonely and very hard. But I look at the Psalms and the life of David. He had such a hard time with his spiritual growth. Hang in there as troubles are the result of Sin in the world and our suffering strengthens our faith. God is always there for you.

      entrepreneurial use of the term 'deconstruction'. Why bother using it at all if what is meant is 'analysing' or 'thinking so as to remove religious belief' which then can perhaps be followed with religious belief that is sincerely held because of apologetics or 'reconstruction'? She claims to value scholarly sourcing, judging and using arguments from authoritative sources. Deconstruction is a method of reading texts and originates in the German term destruktion, used by Martin Heidegger in Being and Time to indicate a way to address the meaning of 'being' separately from presuppositions of metaphysical causality. Jacques Derrida, over a period of decades, practiced a form of textual reading that may very well have been affected by Heidegger's efforts, in which texts, mostly philosophical, are read so that what is rendered clear is that arguments that philosophers make are undermined by the referential possibilities of the words that they use, in order to signify concepts. Deconstruction is a form of analysis of text that tries to show why it might be impossible for a philosopher to mean what they say because of the nature of language, particularly metaphysical conceptualizations. It is not anti-relgious, it just points out seemingly irresolvable difficulties in religious thought. One of Derrida's criticisms of Heidegger's view on 'revelation' was that it was not clear whether 'revealability', the condition that allows for 'revelation', precedes revelation, or the reverse. It is an aporia - .. Other interpreters of Heidegger, such as Emmanuele Severino, have said that, amongst other things, the folly of western thought, including Christianity is belief in nothing, that the universe was created 'ex nihilo' and 'nothing' is what gets returned to. He uses arguments from Aristotle and Parmenides to argue that there can be no non-being, so no god. It only exists as a concept - after that it is logical reasoning.

      @@simondeakin1416 @@simondeakin1416 so... what is your point?
      You don't like her use of deconstruction? I don't think she invented it, basically in 2022 it's understood to mean "dismantling of a belief or worldview ", I'm not sure anyone using it is very concerned with what it may have meant in the past or in philosophical circles.
      Ex-nihilo? Not sure but it reminds me of this
      Psalm 33:8-9
      8 Let all the earth fear the LORD;
      Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
      9 For He spoke, and it was done;
      He commanded, and it stood fast."

      @@Apollos2.2 I didn't say that I don't like it, I just question the use of it because it is somewhat vague and the term already has a meaning in the history of critical thought, she claims to value authoritative sources, scholarship, and what she says in the video does not acknowledge the historically scholarly meaning of the term. If you want to talk about questioning of values and analysis of beliefs, denying them and then using apologetics (she uses that term correctly from a scholarly perspective) to help to recuperate them, there is no real reason to use deconstruction to begin with. Deconstruction used as 'dismantling a belief' implies that the belief was 'constructed' to begin with, rather than simply imparted, instilled, and held. It is in Christian tradition that God created the universe 'creatio ex nihilo', it is a doctrine that matter was created by God from nothing, by divine power. My point about it is that philosophers and some scientists both have questioned even the possibility of 'nothing' from which being arose, whether divine or not. If there was never any nothing, then there cannot be a god that created being.

      @@simondeakin1416 I see, but whether I constructed the Lego building or not, if I’m holding it in my hand as my own, if I take it apart, I’m deconstructing it. I just think you may be nitpicking a bit, that’s all. Remember they are talking to a RUclips audience not a college philosophy class. I said that whole "deconstruction" movement is multifaceted. Because like you pointed out, some will just adhere to something they believe, but I think most actually have reasoned through their faith to some degree. (because everyone has faith)
      'Creation ex nihilo' is really only saying God didn’t take matter that was already existing and then mold it into things (that’s what mankind does). There was never nothing. There was always the eternal one, God.
      So I would agree with you in this much, if there is no God, there would be nothing. Because “nuthin, comes from nuthin”

    • @simondeakin1416
      @simondeakin1416 2 года назад

      @@Apollos2.2 not nitpicking actually, I think she should make sure that she is using terminology in a consistent way. She uses 'apologetics' correctly, but not deconstruction. Whether you constructed a lego building or not is not the point, calling a lego building a building is enough to also say that it is constructed, because it is made of lego. You're second line is one of the paradoxes of Christianity actually. Christian doctrine says 'out of nothing', so if there is a god, and god has being, then why say out of nothing? The doctrine is pretty clear. A further problem related to that is that if God exists that means that things have to happen to god, there have to be events that affect god, as there is in all existing things. Judaism says that laws affect God which is why there is a covenant in Judaism, in other words, law transcends God, is greater than god.

    .==================
    New Covenant Whole Gospel:
    Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
    He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
    Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
    Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
    husband unto them, saith the LORD:
    Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
    Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
    Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
    Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
    Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
    We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.

      I am a believer, but I don’t think this attempt at “proof from probability” is a firm ground for faith.
      It presupposes that the events of the Bible are depicted accurately… which would already prove Jesus’ divinity far better than any math could.
      If the Bible is just a fictional book (which I don’t believe) of course it can be written in such a way that Jesus appears to fulfill scripture. This is not a convincing or intellectually strong way to approach evangelization.
      Just my view. Not trying to dissuade you in your faith in any way. Just opening dialogue about what I feel would be a more productive path, as your current thinking seems to be taking up a lot of energy that it may not deserve.

      Regarding logic and evidence, as I understand it, most if not all scholars (even unbelievers) attest that Jesus was in fact a historical person, they disagree on his miracles and resurrection. I would point you to Lee Strobel’s book the Case for Christ chpt4 the corroborating evidence.
      Something else to think about: William Lane Craig:
      “I had a debate with a professor at the University of California, Irvine, on the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus. He had written his doctoral dissertation on the subject and was thoroughly familiar with the evidence. He could not deny the facts of Jesus’s honorable burial, his empty tomb, his post-mortem appearances, and the origin of the disciples’ belief in his resurrection. Therefore, his only recourse was to come up with some alternative explanation of these facts.”
      Why would to professors be debating, not Jesus historicity, but whether he was resurrected or not. No one is doing that for Thor and Hercules, because “In fact, there is enough logic and evidence to suggest the ‘their’ story is most definitely entirely fictional.”
