These underground bunkers in bareilly used to store normal aircrafts and helicopters in bareilly and they used to display them in a carnival every year. My mum used to visit that, it was like 3 decades ago. Heard a lot of stories about them.
There is nothing secret about it except that in the initial years NATO was caught off guard until an Israeli pilot reportedly tried to shoot down a plane over the Sinai Peninsula and the plane just out ran the missile. They were not clear about its capabilities with Pentagon exaggerating them and starting a counter program and eventually cancelled it after a soviet pilot named Victor Balenko defected to Japan with a working and latest variant of MIG 25 from Kamchatka Peninsula. The range is limited due to the two fuel inefficient Tomansky engines which were actually designed as rocket engines and it uses vaccuum tube technology and huge amount of alcohol to cool it's electronica and avionics. The camera has swath is not that great and the film in the camera has a tendency to stick mid flight.
Technically speaking, the American counter to the MiG-25 wasn't cancelled. It merely gave birth to the F-15, that plane since then has proven to be quite possibly the best twin engine heavy multirole aircraft America has ever produced. Sometimes overestimating enemy capabilities can prove to be beneficial as compared to under estimating ;)
@@shubamroy7241 The west was not aware of its capabilities, hence it was a secret for them. They overestimated its capabilities due to various factors, including lack of credible intelligence or were fed false intelligence. India purchased them in 1980 and Victor Balenko defected in 1976. Yes, the purchase was never published in newspapers or mentioned in news. But the whole world knows about it and its capabilities by the time it was offered to India.
Only after our pilot shot down advance US F-16!! 😂😂😂 The pilot was handover to India by the Pakistani government with full respect from their government side.
The Mig-25 was built for 1 reason and 1 reason only, to shoot down the SR-71. It failed but it did force America to build the F-15 because they erroneously thought the Mig-25 was a viable threat. Turned out not to be true after a soviet pilot defected to the west via Japan and bringing a nice new Mig-25 as a sweetener. After taking apart and examining bolt by bolt they realized it was a giant piece of shit that could only reach over Mach 2.5 by burning out its engines and needs 100 miles to make a turn. We returned the Mig-25 in pieces back to Russia and they still haven’t paid us back for the shipping fees.
USSR designers developed the plane, and their leaders purchased it for their air forces. MiG-25s were used for interceptor and reconnaissance missions. The reconnaissance variant actually entered service before the interceptor.

This can be upgraded and used as high altitude bomber..
Missiles have taken place of high altitude bombers . Sadly this technique is getting phased out .
No it can't
MiG-31 is doing that against Ukraine.
This option is an expensive one bro, better left retired. Also parts are hard to find for these.
That's when TU-22 comes in
