- Yes, they picked a terrible way to write Flint out of the show. But after listening to Mr. Horton's beautiful rendition of this song, I decided to attempt putting that old adage about life and lemons into practice.

Way out here they've got a name
For rain and wind and fire
The rain is Tess, the fire's Joe
And they call the wind Maria
Maria blows the stars around
And sends the clouds a-flyin'
Maria makes the mountains sound
Like folks were up there dyin'
Maria (Maria)
Maria (Maria)
They call the wind
Maria
Before I knew Maria's name
And heard her wail and whinin'
I had a girl, and she had me
And the sun was always shinin'
But then one day I left my gal
I left her far behind me
And now I'm lost, so gol' darn lost
Not even God can find me
Maria (Maria)
Maria (Maria)
They call
The wind
Maria
Out here they got a name for rain, for wind and fire only
But when you're lost and all alone, there ain't no word but lonely
And I'm a lost and lonely man, without a star to guide me
Maria, blow my love to me - I need my girl beside me
Maria (Maria)
Maria (Maria)
They call the wind
Maria
Maria (Maria)
Maria
Blow my love to me
Beautiful man, beautiful voice. Such a crush on him!...RIP! ❤
Robert Horton was Wagon Train, once he left it was never the same. He gave up Wagon Train to sing in musical theatre & he did have a lovely voice as well as being a great actor. The TV heartthrob of the 50’ s & 60 ‘s. RIP
People at the time seem to have agreed. Wagon Train was #1 in the ratings the year Horton left. Next season the show was #25.
Absolutely.
He also showed up in a couple of decent movies. Look for "The Dangerous Days of Kiowa Jones." (Wish somebody'd bring it out on DVD...)
Chris J , I bought it from ‘Roberts hard to find videos’ , he is in Canada. I have bought everything he has which shows Robert Horton either, acting or singing or on chat shows. First copy I received wasn’t very good so I emailed him & he sent another, good copy, he’s a very friendly guy too.
@@chrisj2539 Could not find Dangerous Days of K J but saw it on You tube but it wasn't in English. Bummer.
Talented actor and singer. Handsome man.
Still gorgeous in every damn picture I see!
Did not realize he was a singer, but after listening to him, I’m hooked !!!!
🥰🥰🥰
All these years later, I am still in love with him
I still love Flint too
i do too. So happy the reruns are on.
So am I.
He was my very first crush at age 12. I’m 74 now & have never forgotten him.
Me too!❤
I still love you!!!!!!!
I love Flint💖 Forever Flint Mccullogh💖
I heard him sing this in a parade. Not sure if it was Macy's or the Rose Bowl, but I've been haunted by it ever since!
It was Macy's. I saw it, also.
beautiful video!!! Thank you for that.
Very much appreciate the time it took to put all those clips together........ well done. Talented (under appreciated) actor, beautiful voice, handsome, gracious. Thank you very much for this marvelous trip down Memory Lane. Miss you Bob.....
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.
fine lookin man! helluva singer too.....
Really like these. Love that handsome Mr. Horton on his appaloosa. Could you possibly do a music video on Annie Oakley starring Gail Davis?
Just watching an old Murder She Wrote and Robert Horton was in this episode (season 6, episode 2). He is in his 60’s and still sexy.
He had a nice singing voice.
i am to...I will always love him.... and it's only been a year...
ROBERT HORTON is the most Handsome Guy ever...
I watch this frame by frame to write what episodes are featured. Is there list of the episodes used to make this and the other wonderful videos? I’m a Robert Horton fan and these clips and the music are just perfect. Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video(s), thank you for commenting. No, I'm sorry, I don't have such a list.
His beautiful expressive face put together with his singing is the best of Flint/Horton that I've seen on RUclips!
I agreed but after Ward Bond died the show was never the same. It's like Gunsmoke the early were the best more gritty. Dragnet the same way the black and white episodes were more The color episodes were behind the times. I love both but the original is always better. Robert Horton was a key character in Wagon Train it wasn't the same without him.
Thanks for stopping by again, hope you enjoyed the video. Neither Wagon Train or Gunsmoke are among my absolute favorite westerns, but I actually like John McIntire's Wagon Master a little more than Bond's, and Ken Curtis as Festus is my favorite Gunsmoke character (even though I know he was never on radio, and was created for the tv show well into it's run. Interesting to compare opinions. Thanks again for watching.
I like Bonanza with Adam on there than gunsmoke or wagon train Bat Materson Maverick lawman wanted dead or alive Cheyenne. and a few more better than those
Cheyenne, Maverick, and Wanted Dead or Alive are among my favorites too. I also like Lawman, and some Bonanza episodes, mostly the comedic ones featuring Hoss or Hoss with Little Joe.
Although I always did like Duke. (He appeared once in a Major Adams ep., vanished, and came back during the Hale years. Always wondered how that happened.) And, being a Fullerfan, Coop.
McIntyre was ok and fuller
I liked Robert fuller,
I did, also, but in Laramie, not Wagon Train. Robert Horton ruined WT when he left. That & Ward Bond's death hurt the show. I didn't blame NBC for giving up on it, & with both of the stars gone I am surprised that ABC wanted it. Though it stayed on the air for another three seasons, it was never the same for me.
Robert Fuller was great in Laramie and Emergency, but he simply could not fill Robert Horton's cowboy boots, IMO.
