This isn’t even comedy. It’s a documentary
Wait, was it supposed to be comedic? I thought it was a vlog
missing dice
Lol I live in Wyoming, this is literally my day to day.
documen-tree
Yeah, this is how we do it in central PA. Hey, you got any more of that jerky, and some for the dog too?
I was at a bar when the bathroom door came off the wall. Who puts 1/4 inch screws in and expects that to work in a bar?! Went to my vehicle, grabbed my Dewalt, a handful of 3" screws and put it back on.
1/4 inch screws? fuckin madman who ever did that
Haha I work in a retail store and a dressing room door had the same problem. One of our customers husband's went out to his car and got a screwdriver and screws and did the same thing 😂
You’re a good man.
If you were in South Dakota, you'd go out to your truck to find that all your tools were stolen 🤣
Thats a good guy right there!!
"We had 15 beers here. I don't think I have 22 bucks." Just classic.
Where the fuck is there a bar that sells 15 beers for 22 dollars!?! God i hate sf prices
@@d3vos_the_god extremely small town bars in Wisconsin mostly up north.
@@d3vos_the_god Used to have a place down in GA, they'd give you pints in football mugs of Miller Lite or Bud's. We were regulars and we tipped well, so it'd end up being like 3 bucks for a pint. Of course, the owner decided to get rid of the football mugs and now they kinda suck.
As a Wisconsin native this is the most accurate thing i've ever seen.
Same here bro. Spot on. I love it.
saaaaaaaammmme
From Iowa same thing.
But I would already know where the paper towels were.
And PA. Lol.
@@TreebeardsHome ooh yeah PA, Ive met a guy or two whose just the same
That accuracy though. Also, not going to lie I've ran home to get smoked salmon that was heated up by the bar tender then passed around the bar. Yes, it's a tiny Wisconsin town
That's pretty cool tho I always wonder what that's like
Wisconsinite here, which town?
Sounds nice. Love small towns.
I live in a small town in between the city and the getto. It was like a nice little diamond in the rough. Now everybody is leaving. Or dying. Its slowly becoming a jack
One time, we were bored, and I drove home, got my guitar and amp and plugged in. Until one guy thought he was cool and a rock star and busted half my strings. You're a Gruber. There's alot of Gruber's here. Did we sleep together?
The pizza thing....seen it happen. The bar next to my inlaws ran out of pizza on the "pizza special night." The FIL ran home and grabbed some out of their freezer. It was the same kind of pizza the bar had...because both my inlaws and the bar owner bought the pizzas from my kids for a fundraiser. 😂👍
#keepinitsmalltown
#keepinitmovin
😂😂😂😂😂😂
People that actually live this must have a pretty sweet outlook on things, small town people are the core
"He's basically drinking water" says the guy drinkin busch lite lol
you have accurately described the joke, excellent work.
Well Bush is slightly better than Coors light but not really
“BUSCH LATTE”
Just like Wally World and Targét Deluxe. Get classy, man.
Hey, don't knock the Bush Lite now. It's basically the official beer of Iowa. When Iowans travel in a pack outside the state, we'll drain a town of every Bush Lite they have. No lie.
One nice thing aboot busch lite - You can drink it and piss it back into the can and have no appreciable difference in quality.
The wife and I moved to Arizona from Michigan this year. We didn’t make it more than a few months before we decided to move back to the Midwest 😂
And this channel was part of what pulled at my heart to get back there 😂
A2 Aviation lol gotta love the mitten
You people are crazy. I have lived in Michigan and now Ohio and it SUCKS. I can’t wait to move to Arizona.
Katelin Romick grass is always greener lol
‘keepin er (literally) movin’
Katelin Romick I promise you’ll miss it, especially if you don’t know anyone down here haha.
Geeez...its almost like being there. I even have a headache, smell bad, and have no money in my pocket. Spooky.
Bahaha I can smell this video FR.
Geeez lol.... like us saying y'all ✌😂 I mean we use y'all as much as y'all say geeez
Paul Ryan hanging at the bar, cool! Keep er movin'
It's like nobody else noticed...
Right! That’s what I thought! Guess he’s got nothin* better to do these days. 😉
@@primitivedaisy I thought he looked familiar
Martin McCardell, Yep it's him fer sure! Those ears. And it's probably his Prius to boot. 😂
Yes! The Paul Ryan “look alike” guest starring here as “other guy / soft cider drinker in bar”! - or.... “Paul Ryan”!!! 😁 Manitowoc Minute fans will recall he guest starred / interviewed in a previous Manitowoc Minute while using his bathroom as gym equipment because he couldn’t work out in his local gym due to the unwanted attention when in public from people who thought he was Paul Ryan! Great to see him in another video! 😁
98% accurate. Source: Rhinelander.
Jolvergan was just their! Great town!
Jolvergan lmao
Oh man you live in one of those big towns ...I’m just an 1 1/2 north west of you
Very close, about 20 mins north of me
Florence!
You didn't mention the classic Wisconsin practice of having the bartender give you a mixed drink in a plastic cup to go. Haha
Lol. In the midwest, our classic is todays highly illegal.
@@PlagueKing_LordFalix I used to run a restaurant in WI and was amazed at the number of people who would pull into the lot and ask me where the trash can was so they could toss the beer can they were holding. It's like they can't start the car until they have an open beer can in their hand. Never seen anything like it.
@@greyeaglem The one place where drunk drivers aren't necessarily the worst drivers on the road. Lookin at the FIBs down south for that one.
In a chuck e cheese cup
The only thing missing is that you leave a pile of cash at the bar for the bartender to take the appropriate amount out after each drink, never being concerned that someone will steal from it when you aren't paying attention.
You are correct. I do that everywhere and I am not even from Wisconsin. I guess it would have ruined the tab for the month jokes.
Thats common in neighborhood bars in NYC as well. The one thing i dont get is the significance of the wooden tokens - pretty much every bar here will run a tab theses days, because of the point of sale software, after they get a credit card. Ive never heard of running monthly tabs paying at the end of the month though, or how the wooden tomens fit in - here, its settled up at the end of the night, or when you decide to leave.
@@machinist7230 Wooden tokens are usually comped drinks. The owner or bartender hands them out to good customers.
@@machinist7230 The wooded tokens are called chips and are usually from when someone buys a round and you either already just got a drink or you don't want/need another drink at the time. The buyer will say "Well give him a chip then, he can have it next time.
Everywhere. Throw about 45$ out on the bar. Go to the pisser, play some darts, pool , put some Boston or Reo Speedwagon on the jukebox and come back and it's still there. One time I won a raffle and was so messed up. Like $350. Staggered home only to get a phone call that I left the cash on the bar. Never knew. Didn't know I won. Head hurt though. Good times!!
0:43 probably the most accurate thing i have seen and i laughed probably for a good minute because of it
ellsworthswenty ya this is actually a thing
I love the selflessness of the people. I was brought up in Michigan. You serve others, share, and help. "Hey, no problem, I'll grab some more paper towels for ya & fill 'er."
It's part of the
culture!😊
God these are always so consistent, and painfully accurate.
I use to bartend in WI and I can definitely say I have experienced every single scenario in this video plus some! So relatable! At my old bar the regulars would sale maple syrup, asparagus and morels. Literally brings be home! Love you keep it coming!
Fresh eggs and home made horseradish in some places.
My mom buys her best morels from a bar in the middle of nowhere (Grover, WI), lol. My sister swears the best cheese curds she’s ever eaten were ordered at a farmer bar outside Fon du Lac. Same bar where she won the meat raffle. 😂
Only thing missing is a passing comment about a meat raffle.
Darn you Charlie Berens. The statistics prof in my videos for class has a Wisconsin accent and it's nearly impossible not to imagine him wearing camo/packers gear while I'm trying to LEARN MATH.
Ha ha ha!!! 😂😁 That’s hilarious! Hope you find the focus to make it through that class. Hang in there! 😁
We have an accent??? :D
This is just like every bar I've ever hung out in. Haven't we all refilled paper towels for for the bartender? Gotta get that free beer somehow!
"Could you grab a few cases outta the cooler for me? I'll get ya a few beers."
@@trrrewr Go downstairs and tap a keg, hook up a new pop canister, take the bottles out...
Just like in real life, but my bar won't let me have a tab anymore, since what happened last month. And the judge said I can't drink anymore, but what he don't know wont hurt him.
"What's the monthly tab at? Only $300? Drinks are on me!"
This is hauntingly accurate to a degree that scares me
This is so accurate it hurts lol
That was adorable. 💕 Love the swinging by home to pick up the 3rd frozen pizza..
Nebraskan here. Hit the nail on the head. I actually feel bad for people in bigger cities that dont get to experience this. They will never feel a genuinely laid back atmosphere like small town bars.
Even though I already watched this on you betcha... I'm watching it again here.
My military reserve unit (from WISCO) went out to CA for 3 weeks of training. I caught up 4 days later and my NCO's took me to the small club there around midnight after picking me up from the airport. I asked the bar keep what he had for beer. He no BS said well we have some unit here from WI that has us all but drained and next delivery isn't until tomorrow. ATTABOY troops!
this is what i miss about not being able to go to the local watering hole. the b.s. the home made jerky, the fishing report, & the beer. thanks Evers.
I love this so much! I've watched this more times than I can count....every smalltown!
Thanks for the video. It reminds me of my dad. He passed away almost 20 years ago. He loved sitting the bar making new friends. Of course, mom wasn't always happy.
I love bar dogs!
Tiny bar in a tiny town...there was an apartment upstairs and the owner had a cat. It would always find a way to sneak down into the bar for treats and pets. I can't blame it, really. Nice little kitty.
2:51 Haha omg "can we turn the Wheel on?" Both sides of my family are Midwestern... Christmas time is like a 4-day Wheel marathon 😂😂
I worked a couple small town bars in Iowa. I have seen this scene many times. Brings back fond memories. ♥ It's like everyone is one big family.
you missed a couple to tree things dar guy . shake of the day ,bar is always selling pull tabs or tip boards , lotta bars do have meat raffles as well. love your videos on wisconsin
paul j we couldn’t see the floor. I’m sure it was a carpet of pull tabs.
beef jerky in a jar, bar dice fer sher, sink outside both bathrooms. This just brings me back to the bars on Pewaukee Lake with my Grandpa when I was a kid.
@@foolonthehill58 Don't forget the jars of pickled gizzards and eggs.
had the pleasure of frequenting a few bars like this over the years. sure do miss it 😪
These videos make me feel at home ☺️
"I can turn this wood into a beer" 😂 Nice one Charlie
You boys should come down to East Troy, frozen pizza at the pub ia only $1. They must buy bulk at the Menards.
Menards has some crazy specials on Jacks Frozen pizza sometimes! Buy in bulk I sez.
This really hits home
Oh my God, I got beer commin' outta my nose right now! I'm literally watchin' WOF at the same time he says to turn on Wheel. Aint dat a co-inci-dinc!!! 🍺😂
I watch both of these guys, god damn A collab? AWESOME!
You guys make my day! I have been binge watching your videos, and I have never laughed so much in my life. Thank you 🙏
It's about damn time this gets to my feed. My husband's been watching this for ages.
Bars like this don't exist in California. The Prius is accurate though.
Lol you gotta go the north or the farmland but they’re there
They do. You just never been to the small towns, especially mountain towns
Max Dobeck that too
Gawd, could California be any more garbage. Foul.
@@Jack_Stafford they're working on it! Lol
An accurate depiction of small town America, everyone knows everyone else and looks out for each other.
I felt right at home watching this.
Yeah it's not just the midwest..
small town bars and little dive beer joints family run diners are the best no matter where you are
I'm barely a Midwesterner, but you bring me much joy through your channel. Thanks.
My best friend is from Ubet Wisconsin and I have the greatest time sharing these videos with her. Thanks!
This. Is. Truth. When the guy goes behind the bar to serve his fellow customers, that is some straight-up Minnesota shit right there.
As a Nebraskan- can confirm.
Keep er movin
This is the most comforting thing I have ever watched
I bartend at 3 of these bars. That was great!
This is like a northern Midwest Cherdley's video and I love it.
Edit: also more of this please
This is spot on
This is so true!! Exactly how a local bar is in wisconsin!
Awesome!
Hey der guy how you doing I’m heading to Wisconsin for thanksgiving I’m so excited
The Kibles well there is plenty of snow to greet ya
The Kibles - How'd it go? Which part of Wisco?
This is so accurate I can't
I gotta say. Small town bar guys are awesome
One of the best thing was when he went behind the bar and that is so true
From Northern Minnesota myself, and this is every guy I know.
Hilarious! Keep em coming
Nice collab!
This video makes me homesick.
This is spot
The coin thing is so accurate! Lol
You forgot the pickled eggs and gizzards.
Definitely! lol
I had an entire photo shoot done with a jar of pickled eggs that I one borrowed from a bar. Said photo shoot was filmed while I was dressed up after my twin nieces’ Christening. Good times.
charlie berens the funniest man from Wisconsin
Too true 🙂
Grew up in small town Alberta....can so relate, lol!
The greatest crossover
I thought this was an episode of Letterkenny I haven’t seen
So nostalgic watching this lmao
When I lived in Michigan I had to DD for my stepdad every friday and Saturday night. This is insanely accurate!!
The crossover we needed but didn’t deserve
From small town- this is so real- could be documentary
All of this is super on point.. They probably "signed-in" before the camera started to roll..
This is similar to the bar & grill I used to go to when I was a kid 😂 I live in South Dakota.
This is too accurate
Had to come to Manitowoc for minute. Gonna see what bars are open today.
Sneaky! that was that a cameo by Paul Ryan aka mike! Wow, I almost missed that!
Keep Ear Mov'n!
So spot on! Do one on supper clubs!
Kristine H - I second that! Cover the supper club topic guys, please!!! 😁🤣😁
Used to work at my town’s bar... can confirm that all of this is true 😂
I was trying to explain to a guy that back in Wisconsin we would serve ourselves from the bar if the bartender was busy or on break and no one ever lied or stole. Also double bubble is non existent outside WI
Sounds like a great place
This is completely accurate. 😆
This is totally, 100% accurate
Excuse me, while I walk down the street to my small town bar
God i love my small town bar
I've seen this exact thing go down many times in B.C. Canada's northern interior region. I've been directly involved also.
I dunno... there was a noticeable lack of fried fish, cheese curds, and raffles using numbered paint stirrers
Ah, the good ol days!
I desperately need a friend with a constant supply of pocket jerky
I live in Wisconsin and this is so accurate lmao
Yes! I remember the bar frozen pizza.
GO BILLS!
I'm from a really small town in BC and it's absolutely no different here, right down to grabbing yourself a drink if the bartender is out on a break or cooking up an order.
This is 100% accurate!
I literally live across the street from a bar welcome to the midwest
I live above one. LOL
