4 body odour changes during menopause

- Опубликовано: 18 авг 2024
- Have you noticed that you smell a bit more than usual? While bodily changes are often expected, many women are surprised to realise that body odour can also change during menopause.
This week, I thought I would take a look at 4 areas of the body which can change in smell, why this can happen and what you can do to help yourself.
Products mentioned in this video:
Salt of the Earth deodoramts: www.avogel.co....
I love your tips and have learned so much from you. I drink LEMON water every morning and the scent I didn't like, went away. My breath, urine and arm pits don't smell anymore. I squeeze a whole lemon into ice water and it's refreshing and delicious. It took me 4 days and then...poof, all the smell was gone.
That's brilliant Sherri, thank you for the tip; it's a nice easy one to do!

Thanks so much
I love this channel, so very helpful. Love from, Canada.
Hello from Niagara Falls, Canada.
Excellent information and support, thank you. 🙂🌸
Thank you so much for your detailed explanation, it does make sense ❤️❤️❤️
A very excellent explanation.👍👍👍👍👍. Yes all you said are true because I never had a smell in my body before but I notice now that I had some smell in all 4 parts so now I know it's normal during menopause stage. I spray apple cider venigar in my underarm and feet and it help remove the bad smell. Thank you so much for sharing.😊😊
Thank you for sharing your experiences!
I never believe that I will be cured permanently from Tmau disease after using all kinds of body wash 🧴 and some treatment there was no solution. After using herbal medicine from Dr.Auchi on RUclips channel for 3 weeks I was cure permanently from Tmau disease 🦠 without having it back again. I’m forever grateful to you sir…
I use baking soda
Very helpful, thank you for addressing this topic.
I agree with your statement that water will help with obnoxious odor. Water is the heal all. Water helps your elimination process, your wrinkles look less pronounced, your breath, your swelling, to flush out sickness, etc etc. but what if we can’t use natural deodorants because they simply do not work? Even before menopause, they didn’t work. There are 2 deodorants/antiperspirants I use (from puberty to now) that work on my bo and those are Degree, and Dove. I use the aluminum free types, because I used to get horrible yellowing on my white tops in the pit area, and the culprit for that is aluminum. I might as well use no deodorant if I use natural deodorant. I have found the only time I get normal stinky bo is when I don’t shower for over 2 days. I can’t shower everyday bc my skin gets itchy and dry. I used to shower every day because I had oily skin and hair, until about 10 years before menopause, when I tried not showering every day and found my skin and hair were more healthy than it was showering every day, and sometimes (if I didn’t get dirty or sweaty), then I could go 4 days, but I never ventured past that. But now if I don’t shower every other day, then I stink. But I have noticed now, if I get sweaty (and I do several times a day-damn hot flashes) then my sweat smells sour. I have noticed the sour smell comes from my hair line behind my ears and my neck and under my boobs. I used to wear one bra for a week, but I can’t now bc it smells sour. My bras won’t last being washed everyday! My skin and hair won’t last showering everyday! Natural deodorants don’t work for me. So I guess until my menopause blows over I am doomed to remaining in my home as not to offend anyone with my stench.
Hi Jen
Have you tried Persimmon Soap? This is thought to be very effective for stubborn BO; you can get this from Amazon

I did not have hot flashes.....smells decreased. Less sweating. Loss of body hair & body hair turned grey. I am 70, so most of this not bothersome...not on hormones because of Hashimotos & cholesterol. I exercise & take excellent supplements, eat right most of the time.
Again, thank you for this information. I have noticed an increase in underarm odour, however the main thing is vaginal odour, and strangely, the urine smells SO strong and different, and not pleasant. I have been to the urologist, and despite the discomfort when peeing, there is no bladder infection. Generally though, the discomfort is not as extreme. So you were correct in saying that some of these things can take awhile to ease up or lessen.
Hi Karen
Remember to drink loads of plain water every day. Falling oestrogen can make you really dehydrated and this can cause the body odour and strong urine smell! Strong urine is also often acidic and this will irritate the bladder causing the discomfort.
@@AvogelCoUk thank you for the reminder. I will try to keep it up!
@@AvogelCoUk amazing how MUCH water is necessary for me. It makes sense though, that the urine smells so much due to not drinking enough water though I have the feeling I am really drinking a ton of it! I think it is necessary to really keep track of it (litre bottles or half litre glasses)
That's a good idea, we often tend to over estimate just how much we drink!

So we should drink more water crap more and shower twice day....lovely
After 4 weeks of using Dr.Auch herbal treatment on RUclips for my Tmau diease, it was cured. That was the reason I decide to let everyone know that Dr.Auch herbal medicine worked for me in curing my Tmau disease because it is on RUclips platform that I found Dr Auchi...

Good information
Im glad I found this vlog, however I lost my sense of smell during lock down, I'm also menopausal so sweating a lot nights sweats day sweats hot flushes like a sudden high fefver Its been absolutly awfull as one minute you think do I still have the virus or am I menopausal?
Hi Iris
It’s hard to say whether these are still symptoms of the virus, the menopause or a bit of both. My advice would be to take the full dose of our Echinaforce tincture: www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/echinacea-echinaforce
(or the Throat Spray / tablets If you’d prefer) at least 3 times daily, for at least 1-2 months to help support your immune system during recovery and help protect against any secondary infections. If your symptoms continue after this time, some more general menopause support would be helpful such as taking our Menforce Sage remedy: www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/sage-tablets-menoforce As always, at any stage if you are worried about your symptoms, you should contact your doctor.

Hi Eileen... Always love your advice...please tell me why am I getting so much acid reflux and difficulty in burping...even if I eat the mildest food...it feels like poison running in my chest...I am starting to reach out for nexium...which is the only help I have to ease the symptoms... Please advice..coz I don't wanna live on nexium...and my husband noticed that the problem occurs a lot before I get my period..I'm 51 years of age....or do you think that it will subside soon and I should stick to the nexium for a while...
Love you Eileen.. You a god sent..
Hi. Have a look at the natural herbal remedy for acid reflux called Centuarium. Eat and chew your food very slowly and drink fluids and half an hour away form food to see if it helps. remember to get these symptoms checked out by the doctor too.
@@AvogelCoUk thank you Eileen... Always treasure your opinion

@@AvogelCoUkThis sounds very similar to me, the difference is that my menstrual stopped at 44, apparently it had a lot to do w/ stressors. I Didn't start experiencing mild menopausal "effects" until I was 49 (but didn't pay much attention). Today I'm 53 and I have had the worst digestive issues ever. Thank God I did some self medicating (elemental diets, etc.), issues lasted over a year. Today the horrible pain is gone but now I'm dealing with really bad gas (from everywhere), throughout the day, before eating, and burp excessively after /b4 eating and throughtout the night. I try to keep hydrated, dr's have checked liver, urine and blood and don't know whats causing so much gas, any recommendations?
Great..Thanks

@@mikebezanson6557 I have been able to beat tmau with alternative herbs and body cleanser, I feel relieved 😌 now natural herbal treatment works better than western medicine Contact Dr Isibor on youtube today and be free from Tmau, body odor, get his Alternative body cleanser and see the positive change in less than 14 day's
All the above I'm going through..Menopause is crazy I've lost of weight...high inflammation stomach ulcers please help...I'm 51 in one weeks time
Hi Marcie
If you've lost weight quite quickly without changing your diet then it is really important to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis; there could be a number of reasons for this such as an overactive thyroid so this should be investigated.
For stomach inflammation you could try a Colloidal Silica Gel such as our Silicea www.avogel.co.uk/silicolgel/

@@AvogelCoUk Thank u for the response..Yes I did change my diet..I've been to the doctor twice this year. His just a general practitioner.. I may have to see a specialist in this field.. it may be H pylori I had it in 2016....I hope its not tho.
Thank you madam for your nice post
Hi Nandini
You're welcome! :)
I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT FIXING MY HORMONES
It’s not natural, I believe this is deception. God knew what he was doing when he made us. We should not be working so hard to prevent natural aging.
All these HRT is causing periods to last into the late 50’s, fibroid beed causing severe anemia, just a downward spiral 🌀
Trying not to age
Period not stop.18th day running. Not heavy. But running
Hi Nandini
Although prolonged periods are quite common on the approach to the menopause, they are not good for you and can quickly cause anaemia. This in turn can cause fatigue, low mood/anxiety, poor sleep and joint pain so it is really important that you get this checked out by your doctor. They may be able to give you something to stop the bleeding and also check there are no other reasons such as fibroids or a prolapse.
@@AvogelCoUk thank you very much

I have done severe damage to my body
Hi Theresa
Have you asked your doctor for help?

@@AvogelCoUk yes
I have done alot of harm to my body
If we take estrogens is it better
Hi Nancy
It really depends on your symptoms and what your own natural hormone balance is. Best to have a chat with your doctor to see if it would be suitable for your situation.

What do I do about vaginal odour
Hi Lydia
A vaginal probiotic supplement can be helpful here but also check with your doctor that you don't have some kind of infection such as Thrush

Can l loose wait during menopause??????
Hi Falling hormone levels, specifically Oestrogen, stress and inadequate sleep make some menopausal women prone to weight gain, especially in their abdomens. Losing weight might be a little more difficult during this time. What you eat is going to have a significant impact on your weight. Eat a healthy balanced diet containing plenty of protein, low starch vegetables and fruit which don’t have a high quantity of sugar, such as pears and berries. Please See the
link for more information. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/symptoms/weight-gain/
During menopause is there drooling
Hi Vidhya
Some women may experience this but could also be caused by other mouth issues so it's a good idea to get this checked by your dentist first.
