I've always harbored a profound desire to play a significant role in humanity's greatest endeavors, aiming to exert a positive influence, uncover the keys to optimal well-being, and ensure safety for all. This enduring need for acknowledgment stems not from vanity or excess, but from a deep sense of purpose and identity. I possess an insatiable curiosity to explore the intricacies of human understanding, pursuing knowledge typically reserved for a privileged few. My goal is to embody the wisdom our ancestors hoped we would achieve.

The sad thing is that those people who have assaulted me don't use this wonderful tool. It makes everything so brighter! Like you said this is something that needs to be built and practiced. It's so sad that they may never see the world in an empathic way! Down with victimization! Let's continue to be the change we wish to see the world by spreading empathy! Allah bless you all!

I'd love to hear more about "infection". I believe my problem in my childhood was being stuck in an auto-introjective state. Growing up I recall a general distrust/disdain toward introversion. It was something that needed to be forced out of children, and if you were an introverted adult, there was something wrong with you. It was looked on with suspicion. Emotional display and extraversion were the healthy way to be, and "showing" care, prying empathy from others was habitual and "normal" behavior. So yes, "empathy" can be toxic, even pathological.

Seeing this on 23rd Aug, 23. The night when I realised that my mother is not empathetic towards me. Forget compassion! I wish she changed her heart for me and sees my excessively communicated pain. I'm 25 and petrified of my life and I just need my mum right now. She's here and still not. I'm so far gone. I hope my mum loves me back the way she should. I'm not writing this for someone else but just me. So, you can go on with your life! :)

I feel you, I’ve gone through the same feelings as you. My mom ended up abandoning me and my brother emotionally, and then physically, when she literally picked up and left our family to live in France with her new husband, with whom she cheated on my stepdad of 15 years with. Her birthday is on august 23. What I had to realize on my own is that none of the trauma she put on me is my fault, and then I finally felt the unconditional love that the universe gives you if you accept it’s love. You realize that when you love yourself, you can feel the love coming from all directions because we are connected to the universe, and the natural state of the universe is love and creation.
I hope that makes sense. I really know how you feel and the only way I could heal was having the realization that everything my mother caused me to feel is not my fault because it was her responsibility to show me love and empathy. However it is my responsibility to find the love in myself without trying to earn it from anything.
I’m wishing you strength and sending you love 🫶🏾

Law #2 in the laws of human nature is to turn self-love into empathy. The superpower tip to do this is to become interested in the other person. Put yourself in their shoes and it will be super easy to empathize. If you combine this by confirming to their self opinion, they will like you even more and feel like you understand them.

To your last point, psychologists and others make this distinction to people who are or become empaths. In that state, the empath loses their selves to the other. The toxic person, the narcissistic, sociopathic, or borderline, is naturally attracted to the empath because they can be adsorbed into their way of thinking.

Note the difference between empathy and sympathy. Empathy is not a common state of being.
In essence, empathy is the ability to feel, or sense something another person is feeling or experiencing.
Thereby, producing a connection between two or more people on an emotional, or energetic level.
    On the other hand..
Sympathy is merely the ability to ‘relate’ to, or understand something another person is experiencing.
Some empaths have not learned how to separate themselves, and their feelings from the feelings of other people.
If I may suggest a protective measure for actual empaths.
Learning to protect your energy is key. Practice selective empathy. Yes. As Me. Green said, empathy is “a muscle”. Therefore…Empathy can be ‘turned off’, or an energetic guard/ wall can put up in order to make sure your energy isn’t being tapped into by someone else, and you are not inadvertently tapping into other people’s emotions.
Learning how to recognize what emotions are actually ‘yours’ v. taking on the emotions of other persons.
Choose wisely where you invest your energy. Quality over quantity.
If not, burn out is waiting on the horizon for you.

    • @GameHub1-

you said what to do but now how. how do we know it's our energy vs not our energy? what's the key distinction or way?

*This post is not intended to be medical advice. This information also does not reflect any views of the content provider. This post was not made on behalf of the content provider. It is your responsibility to conduct your own research in accordance with your own personal needs.*
Though empathy is “a muscle”, there are those of us who were born as ‘sensitive’ individuals. Unfortunately, no training regarding this type of emotional/ energetic sensitivity.
Emotional Sensitivity may often ‘labeled’ as ‘mental illness’. As a result, most true empaths are stuck in fight or flight mode.
      1. Meditation.
Take care of your nervous system. You need to *slow down* your responses to external stimuli.
Turn off, and avoid drama. Don’t engage in Doom scrolling etc., create quiet spaces for yourself, and then honor your commitment to maintaining peace in your life.
1(a). Set healthy boundaries around your time, money and anything else of yours that you produce, because all of the aforementioned things translate into energy.
      2. Self examination- requires you to be objective.
      3. Practicing the fine art of detachment.
This doesn’t mean you don’t care. What this means is that you intentionally ‘step back’ from the stressful, or other situation in order to be able to avoid becoming emotionally enmeshed. *Observe. Don’t absorb. Objectivity.
      4. Take care of your physical health. Look for symptoms of…
      *Adrenal fatigue.
      * glandular/ Endocrine system dysfunction. Discontinue use of as many ‘endocrine disrupters’ as possible.
      * I only use natural remedies. If you intend to use an herbal remedy check for interactions with your medication, if any and consult your physician, or other healthcare professional.
      Good luck.

They realize (for the first time) that if you sit opposite of them, your perspective of an object (between you and the kid) might have a different view. So some people who have developmental problems, like narcissists, just don't bother or just can't change perspective and see you in your shoes...

As an empath, I can’t choose to be one or not. I physically feel what others feel and often don’t want to. The only thing I can do is distance myself. I feel drained around others and need a lot of alone time just to feel like myself again. I thought everyone was like that but they are not. I get used to it if exposed regularly (like at work) but I still need to get away often. Ppl think I’m anti-social but I am not. I’m literally tired from emotionally dragged around.

It’s actually a cognitive and emotional process. He has an opinion that happens to be counter to the latest research. Sympathy is not empathy at all. Nice interpretation but science scientifically wide of the mark, if that matters at all.

It's weird but fr walking around irl I can relate the most to people with disabilities. When I seem nothing like them more than half the time. Cause conventionally, I would imagine that when someone disabled is attempting to do something significant, they would be treated the same as I would. I feel that people around me only feel empathy when they see others either do as much or have the same ability as they themselves do (I don't even think that's empathy LOL) .That gives me strength. Cause I know that they won't be as nice or rather reveal who they actually are when someone goes out of their way to do something that lives up to a standard that deems some form of significance.

I personally have a natural tendency to feel empathy towards people who show empathy towards others. The reverse is also true : i feel very little of it towards those who have very little or none towards others , especially if they abuse the goodness of kind people.

Unless they talk and do very clear signs of emotions. It's very hard for me to understand ppls emotions. I try to understand cognitively how they feel..then I try to read about what they feel and help them accordingly. It's not easy for all ppl to read micro gestures or guess someone's emotions. Unfortunately

I think it’s more imagining what could have happened to him that caused him so much suffering that he ended up doing those things. Humans are not inherently antisocial, so we necessarily must be abused in order to become monsters. But even if it was possible for a human to be born antisocial, that wouldn’t be their fault. Nobody chooses their genetics, or really any other circumstances of their existence.
