- I've been DREAMING for two years to build a PC from 2008 with a quad core cpu but i've never gotten my hands on a quad core until this video. In this video I will build the pc, Boot it up, show the specs and finally, benchmark some demanding games (such as crysis)! This video took me a few days to fix all mistakes I made because I want every video on my channels to be crystal clear. Relax, sit back and enjoy the video!

I have this CPU, I actually got it back then and I always ran it overclocked for extra performance using a bus speed of 1600mhz making it run at 3,4Ghz no problem and I used this a lot for music production and video rendering, Gaming etc. Btw be careful with your motherboard because it have several capacitors that are completely shot. if they fail you might have stuff shorting out for you. You need to Re-Cap this board

I am currently running a simaliar PC, with a Gigabyte P35-DS3R, Q9300, Scythe Mugen 2, HD 7770, 8GB Kingston DDR2 800Mhz Low Profile, 400W FSP Group Aurum, 120GB SSD, 250GB HDD.
Was suposed to be a Windows XP Retro PC, than a XP / Linux Dualboot - but XP denied to be installed on the SSD it became a Linux only PC. Lubuntu to be precise. Now its my "daily driver" until I can buy something "newer".
Not perfect, but good enough for now.
Nice to know. So theres no problem in linux. I just want to know if bsel modded q6600 no dgpu would work on linux
The Q6600 does not have a graphics chip. So you need integrated graphics from your motherboard or a dedicated graphics card.

motherboard evga nforce 680i sli black pearl is one of the best for intel core 2 quad processors is installed bios award full version supports ddr2 gskill 8 gigabytes 4x2 gigabytes 1066 megahertz memory three graphics cards equal in sli and crossfire mode I have only seen two better chipsets nforce 2000 professional and nforce 590 sli manufactured on taiwan for intel core 2 quad processors
what motherboad you are using ? (its for a Intel Core 2 Q6600 2.40ghz and a ATI Saphire 2600 Pro)

5770 was released near the end of 2009, according to google. Shouldn't you be using HD4890 or GTX 285?
"Steam works on Windows 7" - not anymore!
The 5770 was the only GPU I had when filming this, but now I have a GTX760 to pair with this system at best.
Steam worked on windows 7 back when this video was filmed and uploaded.
@@Yorkfield2008EN I mainly meant that the 5770 did not yet exist in 2008 (and, of course, neither did the GTX760).

Why q9550 not support windows 10?😢
Actually, it can run Win10 without any issue, but I refuse to use it since it's literally spyware and has telemetry, where as Windows 7 doesn't have that and isn't spyware.

I did test Genshin on that PC, but I couldn't get my hands on Warzone.
