The Ripple Effect Trailer

The Ripple Effect is a local intergenerational film project that captures students and aged care residents participating in an 8-week program that demonstrates the power of intergenerational connections and the ripple effects of its benefits.

Thank you Sutherland Shire Council for supporting this community connection initiative. Heart & Soul Story was proud to be involved in planning and facilitating this heartwarming program. Capturing the program on film allows for it to be used as an awareness and education tool for the power and benefits of intergenerational connection. The talented videographers from In The Loupe were able to do this with a great deal of sensitivity and grace, like invisible flies on the wall, which for me as the program facilitator was of utmost importance to protect the integrity of the forming relationships. We are so grateful to all participants and next of kin for their agreement to be part of this program and the decision to make it a film. Thanks to all involved from Council, Hammond Care and Sylvania High School for behind the scenes work involved to bring our community back together. Samantha Heron , Heart & Soul Story
