Steve, that's actually one of the best media mod tests I've watched so fair play man! I've just ordered one for the Hero 9 so it's good to know its decent when I'm not using an external mic 👍🏻
@@crazystevie You convinced me to buy the media mod. I decided to pick up the light mod and display mod as well to use my Hero 9 as a secondary "studio camera."
@@crazystevie nailed it. Most youtubers just test it in one environment...but you had a few different situations which is what people want, top man...gained my sub :) keep it up.
@@danieldevlin391 😂 plenty to be climbed, every day's different too with weather.... I didn't get to the Alps this year so just making do with the Mournes
@@crazystevie thanks appropriate reply. Deciding on new vlogging set up got the camera lol got rode go what do I put between lol Is it better than ulanzi? And what about battery I hear difficult to get to battery?
@Tony Hobbs what do you mean put between? Regarding the battery, no need to get to it I just power externally through the usbc in the media mod if I need. And I'd prefer the media mod to Ulanzi because with it you still need a gopro audio adaptor and have a other cable on the side
@@ABDULLAHZONE1 yea make sure you understand video, file sizes, recording format. Don't just get it and stick in highest settings. Use sandisk extreme pro A2 card or recommended from gopro list, don't shoot higher frame rates than you need 25/30 is fine unless you want to slow mo. If you record for a long time it will split the clip into roughly 4gb parts so don't freak out, it's wide angle so move the camera rather than trying to zoom in after. Loads of wee things but I've no idea where your at in knowledge
To be honest if im shooting a lot with media mod I just bring an external battery and plug it into the media mod to save any hassle taking the camera out :)
The media mod wind screen made a difference between night and day. Thanks for that.
You're welcome, Yea I obviously didn't hear till back editing the footage and was pleasantly surprised
A great test of the media mods especially in the wind the difference was unbelievable.
Yea made such a difference 👌
this is going to be my new vlogging setup i love the wireless go
Yea it's absolutely fantastic and so handy to carry and clip on 👌

Awesome - it so handy for my Rode mic but that wind diffuser makes some difference
Great vid , it made a massive difference to wind noise
Yea massive difference....was good to hear it's definitely worth snapping that bad boy on 👌
Best review of this setup, well done. Thank you for this! 🙏
You're welcome, thanks so much 😊

Now this is a proper test, cheers mate.

You're welcome 👌
Best gopro review 🥰
Thanks, need to get a few more up
Nice comparison

Hi Steve can I buy to wind shield thing for my go pro hero 8 I have the media mod but I would like the wind shield for the mic
Hey there, they didn't make one for the 8 and unfortunately the 9 frame is bigger so it won't fit. I'll check see if there are any aftermarket ones
Sir Plz Tell me is this device Water Proof .Will it work in water .If i have to record Videos .
No it is not waterproof - do not use in water. It has some rain resistance but not submersion
so i need to buy a case for it to record video unter water if i have to do suba diving
@@hassan7tcafe720 no you just use the camera without the media mod, the camera itself is waterproof to 10m
@@drumsjazzman sir Thankyou for the advice .Love U
@@hassan7tcafe720 no problem it was me replying from my other account by mistake 🙃🤣
you have the light mod featured in your thumbnail, but don't actually use it in the media mod review.. whyyyyyyyy
Because it’s part of the media mod accessories, but this is a review of the media mod itself.....what would like to see or know about the light mod?
Rode go mic will fit well. But what about ND filters?
Hi there Polar Pro have specific ones that twist right in to the lens protector that comes off, so no issue 👌

Put between is media mod or ulanzi to accept external mic like rode go
@Tony Hobbs yea so like I said you will still need a gopro audio adaptor so media mod makes more sense to me
Interview related video recording can be done with GoPro hero 9?
Yes absolutely, for that I use the rode wireless go mics, but depends on your situation and how noisy the surroundings are
