I thought about making this deck for IRL play, but with rotation coming soon I think I'll just upgrade my Miraidon league battle deck for now. I'm really curious what will be next once Flaffy rotates out though.
Miraidon will still be good! Zach and I think it’s gonna be scarlet and violet onward so playing Miraidon will be good, and using the generators is still a big plus !
@TCGEmpire right on, good to hear. Btw I ended up making top 4 with my little Chien Pao deck, lost in the semis (not sure if you remember I was playing this weekend from our previous convo). It was firing on all cylinders the first 3 games, felt good. Almost finished 3rd, but got Iono'd and lost a close match.
@@edwarddaignault5243 sometimes that happens, you can prepare for cards like iono but sometimes it just works that way. Don’t beat yourself up, you did awesome ! Keep up the great work, I’m glad to hear it went well for 3 games and you enjoyed yourself !
@TCGEmpire thanks again for the advice and support, and yeah I had a blast! Got to Lost Vacuum away a couple Path to the Peaks, mightve been my favorite part lol. I stomped Gardi hard too one game, Greninja putting in the work 😉. I'm thinking of adding Rotom V or a Professor's Research to the deck, whatchu think?
@@edwarddaignault5243 I think research would be a better addition rather than using rotom V. I understand why it’s good, but with chien-pao you bench space is already very limited because you tend to need ninja/2 chien/2 frigibax/and then manaphy and/or bibarrel so adding another bench sitter that’s extra prizes isn’t the best. A atleast with lumineon you can attack with it and free up a bench space. So I think research is a good idea if you want more consistency personally
Im new to the pokemon tcg and this deck looks like so much fun! But out of curiosity, is there a good single strike deck out there? Theres a Single Strike Emboar and its my favorite pokemon!
there are quite a few single strike decks that used to be dominant in the meta but unfortunately, they are too slow right now to really compete :( you could try Houndoom/Single Strike Urshi which could be okay but at the same time its still risky. But thats about the best one you could try that MAY work. this rapid strike list is really strong and fun though, I would suggest it for sure !
So again gardy, the pressure of inteleon is enough to do what you need. You don’t really have to apply as much pressure with the TM. Since you spread damage around with double gunner/yoga loop - you limit the amount of energy gardy can accelerate in a timely manner, then you proceed to yoga loop into rapid flow to take your remaining prizes. As for zard, you really only need 1 TM because you focus on spreading damage then timing the TM to KO every mander on board sheikh sets your opponent back. Since you control when you take prizes, you limit charizard a damage output and disrupt with iono, they will never be able to one shot you. So the goal is to devolve on the correct turn then apply the remaining pressure afterwards
@@patrickglaze9712 more TM is never a bad thing, I just personally cut 1 for a rope so I didn’t have to dig for turo in order to get an alakazam out of the active, but you can definitely play 2. Also depends on your field and what you expect to see more of, so it’s perfectly okay playing 2!
Rope is my 61st card for sure. My workaround has been only dropping zam when it's a YL turn so it doesn't get stranded early game. I'd want an irida if I added rope so I can search it out.@@TCGEmpire

How does this list beat gardy and zard with only 1 TM?

Okay that makes sense. With a heavy 3 research in the list, I am leaning towards to TMs because throwing one away always feels bad@@TCGEmpire
