    Very nice pattern ....loved your patience while doing the masterpiece. One question.....r u using two layered cloth every time for sashiko?....is it compulsory??

    • @XiaoxiaoYarn
      @XiaoxiaoYarn  9 месяцев назад +1

      Sarangi fabric is very thin, using two layers can add weight to it, also you can hide the thread between the layers, so your hanafukin can look nice.

    beautiful work! I am also interested to know how you made the circular pad in the palm of your hand, it looks as though it would be very supportive, my hands hurt very quickly when I sew these days

    trying this pattern as well for my mother's birthday, im curious if this pattern has any special meaning like the tortoise shell one? personally i think it'll symbolize many more long adventures and paths to explore

    • @XiaoxiaoYarn
      @XiaoxiaoYarn  2 года назад +2

      Good question! I actually did some research before I made this pattern, but I didn't find specific meanings to it. :) I love your interpretation! To me the name of the pattern in Chinese and Kanji "山路“ looks and sounds so poetic. It feels like a mysterious path leading you to a very hidden and magical wonderland.
