Certain laundry detergents can cause sensitivity to jock itch and athletes foot. Try changing detergents and see if that helps in a couple of weeks. For me, Tide works the best.
So, I sort of had the same issue years ago. I thankfully got it under control. The problem was my doctor was always recommending you try out pharmaceutical things first before you try to get a prescription. So I would go to the doctor, and he would tell me to go to the pharmacy. Needless to say, I eventually left that practice. Yeah, the stuff unfortunately never works. I'm one of those people, once I get something, I got it. It does take a while to remove. One issue, well actually, one of the ways I sort of eliminated it was I saw an online recipe using baking soda and creating a paste, and believe it or not, that actually nuked it, but eventually it came back. I actually switched the soap I used, and that completely stopped it from coming back.
Mine gets was red and hurts like a mother, after a shower or bath I dry my feet and front and backside with a hairdryer on the cool setting then I apply an over the counter spray with powder which keeps things in check, I never wear underwear only if I'm going out to socialize, but normally especially in summer it make sweating in that area that much worse, sometimes, I'm not overweight or obese, six foot four and 200 pounds give or take, sometimes I'll get a flare up without even noticing until I go to wash there then its like pouring alcohol on an open wound, after about two or three days of using the spray it goes away but I need to use it religiously.
I had it quite bad once.. found that (even tho sounds weird), changed my skivvies a couple times a day, and medicated gold bond powder tended to help. And as hard as it was not to, try avoiding scratching that area as much as possible.. I also had a bad case of athletes feet, and treated that the best I could, keeping between the toes dry, changing socks often, and the gold bond helped quite a bit.
Living in a all year tropical climate country, I used to have that growing up. Decided to go commando while home and it helped a lot. Also getting looser underwears
I’ve had this growing up. I killed it all with mouth wash. Listerine to be exact. It’s 100 % effective, and you will definitely notice abd fill a difference. It does tingle and get spicy for a few seconds, but it’s 100% effective

I've exhausted all current treatments and beyond, Nothing works?? I am retired from work, Don't do any sports, Have hygiene routine that would shame a hospital surgeon!!!🤔😮💨😵💫😖👍
try washing the surrounding area with head and shoulders shampoo and wash your underwear with it as well, it can get into your underwear and reinfect you. depending on the climate do this once a day or once in the morning and nighttime. best of luck hope it works. Wiping with Isopropyl alcohol also can help with the itching.

The best way to keep jock itch at bay is to bathe once in a while. Once sweat and urine build up on the pubes, bacteria forms and it's all downhill from there.

I was diagnosed as having jock itch for a couple different doctors over the years basically the skin on top of my legs by my balls get itchy sore scales flaky dark reddish etc.. I was prescribed something from the doctors on my diagnosis that worked but I got the jock itch many times over the years and didn’t bother to go to the doctor. I used real aloe Vera gel from the leafs of a aloe Vera plant on it I simply cleaned the area by a shower or a warm wet wash cloth and applied the aloe Vera gel and it worked as good or better than what I was prescribed in the past. Aloe Vera gel has anti fungus , anti septic, anti virial anti bacterial properties it is also full of minerals like zink, magnesium etc.. that promotes healing it also has many vitamins, enzymes, amino acids etc.. it’s a natural healing medicine and people have been using it for thousands of years for similar issues and to speed healing of cuts and burns etc.. I suggest you try some real aloe Vera stuff u buy in a store that says aloe Vera may only contain a tiny amount mixed with other ingredients and chemicals some aloe products actually contain no real aloe. If you don’t have access to real aloe I suggest finding a plant and growing one in your house close to a window or grocery stores oftin sell fresh aloe leafs. Just apply enough to wet the area a couple times a day until it’s healed up. I find mine is healed and not visible anymore after about three days of applying a couple times a day. Goodluck

Holy s__t, it's a fungus? I thought it was purely caused by friction all this time (considering how localized it is). I was literally just scratching in bed scrolling when this came up in my feed. I usually just put roll-on deodorant when the itching gets bad, that dries out the area and reduces friction. But now I'll definitely be looking into some anti-fungal cream.

This is because of medico-legal reasons, not knowing your full case, circumstances, and it would be unethical of me to do so otherwise. I have included the general resources I used to make this video in the description box but I have to advise that you speak to your own health provider (e.g. doctor, nurse) so that they can properly assess your case. This is the safest and most ethical advice I can give since this is just intended as a general educational resource. Thanks for understanding.

After about a year, yes a year of misery, he saw it, got me to a dermatologist who gave me a cream which fixed it in one week. Can’t remember what the cream was. I have since then needed hydro cortisone for other less severe situations. I am obviously prone to excema type or fungal conditions. I always get it sorted quickly. Don’t listen to any of the amateur stuff. The doctors have this thing worked out.
doctors havent fixed it for me yet. Had it for 2 years and tried 6 different creams and a pill.
Doctors these days don't care grandpa, like they used to atleast in the 90s. All they care about it boosting the sale of one or more Pharma product.
They don't wanna cure they just wanna rip you off and make you come back again so that they can rip you off again.

I use clotrimazole cream but i feel like it makes it even more moist...should i switch to powder form??
Yeah anything moist is bad idea
I used anti fungal spray. Worked in 2 weeks and mine was proper bad. Just wash twice a day and keep dry. Spray the anti fungal cream. Should work
Diabetic and other immunocompromised people may get affected more frequently. Delay in changing underwear- like wearing more than 12 hrs may cause this fungal infection.loose underwear, A good bath in hot water, clotrimazole powder usually works well.changing under wear more frequently during the affected time helps faster recovery.ohh..very difficult to manage in public place. Thanks for discussing this health issue
Yeah, this sh*t has given me huge deal of sufferings for almost 5 months back in highschool. We lived in a dorm & every night when everyone was trying to sleep there was me scratching as quiet as possible.
Careful not to upset your Prostate while scratching
Brother.... I'm in highschool right now and what you've described is the same as what I suffer with every day 🥲

Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes can also be responsible for non stop itching in the groin area too. Get your Blood Sugar Levels checked at your local Hospital or visit your GP. It’s important to get your Blood Sugar Levels checked if you are suffering from this condition and nothing seems to clear it up. Along with lethargy, frequent unrination and very itchy skin particularly the groin area, these are all symptoms of Diabetes. You may be Hyperglycaemic (Too much sugar in the Blood). Get your Sugar Levels Checked Guys and Gals!
Thx...I think this is my issue being Hyperglycemic.
Certain laundry detergents can cause sensitivity to jock itch and athletes foot. Try changing detergents and see if that helps in a couple of weeks. For me, Tide works the best.
Another reason for jock itch is diabetes my doctor missed this. Get a blood test at a pharmacy. Phil.
Taking a shower every day prevents it.
Hi everyone especially to you doc. What specific or specialist doctor should I go? Should I go for dermatologist or not?
A family medicine doctor (general practitioner) should be fine
Good old corn starch. That's the best thing I've ever used. early immediate relief & clears it up quickly.
Can u say about this
90% isopropyl alcohol works for me rather quickly. Don't apply alcohol to broken skin from excessive scratching.
I've been acommando since 1979
Hi sir is using clotrimazole cream good for jock itch? Have a good day
I’ve had this growing up. I killed it all with mouth wash. Listerine to be exact. It’s 100 % effective, and you will definitely notice abd fill a difference. It does tingle and get spicy for a few seconds, but it’s 100% effective
Kidding, right?😅
I never thought of that. Makes sense to me because Listerine was used to treat dandruff .
Exactly, mouth wash works wonders. Even when you have a sore throat
i killed it with hand sanitizer 😂
it really worked..lol
I killed it with 95% alcohol, I applied it both internally and externally. It really works wonders.
I was diagnosed with jock itch 4 years ago and it's still going strong, This painfull condition as caused countless hours of lost sleep, Over time I have seen over six doctors in my practice to no avail, The area most affected is not the upper thigh but my balls, The sores are so bad I have strached until it bleeds!! I've exhausted all current treatments and beyond, Nothing works?? I am retired from work, Don't do any sports, Have hygiene routine that would shame a hospital surgeon!!!🤔😮💨😵💫😖👍
Iodine solution stopped my uncontrollable itching upon application.
try washing the surrounding area with head and shoulders shampoo and wash your underwear with it as well, it can get into your underwear and reinfect you. depending on the climate do this once a day or once in the morning and nighttime. best of luck hope it works. Wiping with Isopropyl alcohol also can help with the itching.
Look into the natural stuff. Medicated soaps, essential oils
@@Ane127 I have there rubbish!!
Couple cups of water in bathroom sink ,add Dettol, bathe area using cotton ball or bunched up toilet paper, do a couple times a day, pat dry ..hope it helps.
Witch hazel ointment works a treat, stings a bit but very effective. Also good on piles.

I had contracted Jock itch when I was at my 1st year highschool... it happened when someone from my roommate in our Boy's dormitory sneak in and used my undies without my knowledge.
I was able to heal from it using Efficacent Eucalyptus oil and Sulfur soap... also taking a bath twice a day.
and soaking my undies on warm water with Vinegar prior to hand-washing it with color safe bleach from then on.😊
Micatin cream (which is Miconazole Nitrate antifungal cream) although it's been around forever it used to be a prescription item, although today you can buy it OTC. For jock itch or athlete's foot it's available everywhere, it's cheap AND IT WORKS!!!
The best way to keep jock itch at bay is to bathe once in a while. Once sweat and urine build up on the pubes, bacteria forms and it's all downhill from there.
What do You mean “once in a while” You should bathe everyday!
I used to have this and i managed ti get rid of it… and now its back. Great
Stopped wearing underwear and the problem solved. I still get it when I wear under wear 😑 and clears automatically once I stop wearing it. I apply Dermi 5 cream and it helps get rid of it in a day.
I can relate to this
I'm overweight and just so happened when I was in bed I reached down to scratch under my fat fold on my stomach and it was unusually wet in there. So I went and checked it in a mirror and there was a big ugly red area. So I went to our express care where I was diagnosed with yeast and prescribe a cream with Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate. A few days later I found the same thing under my left breast. I'm really happy that I found your video. Very informative.
Glad this video was informative- thanks for commenting
In the middle of a heat wave, and work in industrial welding. The inside of the plant is hotter than outside. I sweat the most out of anyone. On my 2nd week of jock itch. Might have to to go commando at work. Ive used calamine lotion, hydrocortisone and Benadryl cream . Anyone got better suggestions besides me retiring from my soul-crushing career?
Have you tried home remedies like garlic, vinegar, Neem, Aloe Vera etc?
The first problem is knowing what it is called.
With all these comments leads me to think. Do doctors even know how to treat this at all.
Doctors are hopeless nowadays, believe it or not I found most of my cures nowadays from RUclips comments 🤷🏼♂️

I got rid of my jock itch in a week by drinking one table spoon of apple cider viniger with some water to ease the taste during the day and night. I've had it for couple of years but now its gone and it never came back thankfully

Listerene depeloratory cream commando. don’t leave the hair removal cream on too long no listerene same day. Listerene great for athletes foot as well.
Vick's also ! but be carefull not to touch the urethe.
Tea tree oil products help. Soap, and (face) gel, and clean underwear daily. If you have fungus related scalp issues, or acne, tea tree moisturiser applied to the scalp helps as well.

Try changing your laundry detergent. I switched detergents and then I started getting the itch a few months later. Fought it for 5 years, and then tried a different detergent, and it went away within a few weeks.

Who has the worst rash ? “ Babies” I live in a tropical ( very humid ) environment so I use Sudocream ( high quality nappy rash cream ) with zinc oxide ( 15.25% ZO ) and i also use zinc oxide nappy rash powder ( 25 % ZO )these keep the rash at bay. I apply in the morning.
I’ve had this a number of different times I simply apply fresh aloe Vera gel off one of my aloe plants and apply a couple times a day, keep area clean shower each day. Mine clears up and is gone within a few days at most. Aloe Vera is loaded with minerals, vitamins it also has anti fungus anti bacterial properties, as well as enzymes, amino acids and more. It’s great for sun burns, cuts, etc.. stuff you buy in a bottle oftin contains no real aloe as it’s not fda regulated so fresh real aloe is always best.
can you share which oils did you use? i have already 15 years in groing area and it keeps coming back from Penis til rectum and itschis... skin is darker in groin area... can you tell me what did you do? and how long you don´t have it anymore? actually how did you diagnosed what did you have? all doctors say that i dont have anything and it actually itches
Goodluck

What about that FungiCure soap that uses sepia squid ink and tea tree oil? Does that work?
Holy s__t, it's a fungus? I thought it was purely caused by friction all this time (considering how localized it is). I was literally just scratching in bed scrolling when this came up in my feed. I usually just put roll-on deodorant when the itching gets bad, that dries out the area and reduces friction. But now I'll definitely be looking into some anti-fungal cream.
here some magic: Chorhexidine usualy used in Teethmedizin, but helps against any type of Fungus everywhere on the Body. Be aware to wash it of instant if the skin is already damaged. (also when used in Mouth, clean your Mouth after!).

Thank you so much for watching the video and taking time to leave a comment. Unfortunately (and I know this will be frustrating for you), I am unable to give individual medical advice out on this channel.

Picked mine up from school. Started on the elbows then it moved to the armpits and groin. Usually cant get rid of it for more then a few weeks and its on me with a day or 2 if ever miss a shower. You may need to fix your gut health. Friendly bacteria will help.
Also consume less sugar and carbs, starve out the fungus from within.

Man never had this issue in my teenage year even in my early 20s. I live in the states but recently i went to my native country which is tropical. I always wear tight jeans so i wore them over there. Now im suffering. It aint going sway. The itching only comes before sleep and im suffering 😭😭
Try betadine cream. We use for most fungal infections.
Try using coconut oil and aquaphor ointment. It helped healed a severe irritation around my scrotum area. It took many weeks of applying the treatments along with recording (by writing) data of progress. And watch out for the yellow powder, it made my condition worse.
Best of luck to all. God bless you with a fast healing.
