test drove Azera & Avalon. Azera won by a huge margin. Avalon felt much faster and that was the only plus (but the azera was not annoyingly slow). Avalon shockingly felt cheaper quality plastics in interior, significantly more road noise (not to confuse with wind noise), when turning felt chassis and body connection was low more wobble than azera, similar suspension stiffness and ac cooling at 40+ C weather, much less rear legroom than Azera (expected more legroom in avalon). At first I thought the Avalon touch buttons for ac would be neat and more sophisticated than the traditional press buttons but when actually tried to raise ac fan speed while driving it was quite annoying to press a few times on the same button to get the right ac fan speed and doing so gets your eyes off the road. Not to mention tons of more options on azera. Avalon felt annoying to drive and I can see myself flooring the gas pedal just to make up for some fun factor whereas azera was an enjoyable comfier drive to cruise and relax. Never did I think I would ever buy a korean car over a japanese because of better quality. Guess times are changing.
50: did you mean sound-proof windshield? Many luxury vehicles have those plus sound-proof side windows to make the vehicle very quiet at 70+ mph. A heated windshield would not be wise in the cold north as cold ice would probably make quick work of a cracked piece of glass. The Avalon does not have the s-p windshield. The Lexus ES350 and LS 460 do and are very quiet.
why do you guys do reviews on a car that hasn't changed in 7 years its basically the same car that you label as the latest due to our year change but the car hasn't changed a bit. As a fan of Toyota this pisses me off
It's a great highway cruiser.
This car is fantastic. I bought one. It rocks. It is noiseless...and does go like bananas...i agree.
Is the windshield heated. This is something it should have if it does not.
Can't think of any car that doesn't have a windshield heating function.
Can't decide whether to go for Avalon or the 2018 Hyundai azera (unavailable to the U.S. and also known as grandeur in other countries).
A go for subaru impreza please. and let me know how it is. Thanks and happy birthday

If you want reliability and resale value, the choice is easy.
