You need to be in a facility which treats the possibility of helping you exercise seriously. If your legs are too swollen to get on a treadmill then maybe an exercycle. And perhaps mimicking cycling motion in bed with your feet in the air. You certainly certainly need to push for it very aggressively. The problem is you might feel that it is a top priority to regain mobility and that without regaining mobility life is not worth living. So you might be willing to exercise or die trying. From the point of view of the facility that has you, however, sticking you on an exercise when you're in stage d might be construed as malpractice. I don't know how to help you out here but I can tell you I have a friend who is in the same situation.

Similar problem here on getting to a cardiologist or any applicable doctor. I've been researching like hell. Get oxygen by going outside in the sun and breathing. Do exercise by finding the exact right amount. Not too much, not too little... get the balance. I'm going to use my computer while standing up to give my chest and lungs "room to breathe." I find internet guru's like Austin Goh and will do any video he offers just to keep moving in a doable range.... especially the one on getting oxygen. I love my Djembe drum to follow along with internet instructors. Bending over can lead to bendopenia. I eat meat, eggs and butter and low carb. You can ask Dr. Eric Berg about the keto diet but that is a long course of study and too much work for me. If you ever get to doctor ask about a far infrared mat that I use on a LOW setting. Don't, if you are stage 3 or stage 4 as myself. Ephesians 5:26 - 27

So, you can do everything right in terms of diet and exercise and still develop serious cardiomyopathy as in my example. It makes no difference!
