This is an Xbox podcast! 🎮 Age of Mythology just came out on Game Pass and it's doing great! The game is fun! Xbox promoted Warhammer a lot and it looks like an amazing game! But why don't they talk about any of this in the podcast? 🤔 It seems like they only want to talk about the negative stuff.
Because you seem deluded. Age of mythology is a niche smaller game and Warhammer is a multiplatforn game that has no connection to Xbox specifically. This podcast is usually always too positive for my taste and as someone who's been with xbox for 13 years it's nice to have my views represented. Do you not think they should cover any "negative" news?

If the Xbox portable was the max power console offered by Microsoft, then obviously, there would be nothing holding it back. People want Microsoft to use the full power of the Series X, but they can't, because all Xbox games also have to run on the Series S. That's why people complain about the Series S.

Beyond just hasn't been as strong since the legendary Colin and Greg days. Both of who still have much better playstation podcasts. Or at least Colin does with sacred symbols at last stand media. Kinda funny got rid of their console specific podcasts to make an all platform daily show. Mystic Ryan also does great ps news coverage and has a playstation podcast on spawncast called "click R3"

We've never seen a gaming landscape where Xbox is in the lead. So naturally they won't be able to make the same types of moves Sony and Nintendo make. Starfield is a grand example without the buyout we would never have seen that game. We have to face facts Xbox is where it is because of it's own decisions. Exclusives favor the more dominant brands. We literally can't hold exclusives and make that business model sustainable.
Xbox 360 was in the lead over the PS3 for a while. No, I'm not counting the Wii because the Wii was in a category all its own, not getting the same games as the 360 and PS3. But there was a time when the 360 was getting some great exclusive games like Gears of War, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Halo 3. In fact, all four of those games came to Xbox 360 exclusively within a one-year time frame. During the Xbox and first half of Xbox 360 eras, Ed Fries and Shane Kim were bringing some great exclusive games to Xbox. But Ed Fries left Microsoft, and Shane Kim retired in 2009, which is when Phil Spencer took over for Shane, and Phil didn't really care about exclusives. He doesn't see exclusive games as important, and that's why Xbox is in the tank right now. You have to have exclusive games that people can only buy on your console. That's what sells the console in big numbers.

There is no timed exclusive contract, why would Sony spend millions of dollars for a timed console exclusive just to keep quiet about it? Sony always makes sure to market PlayStation with third party timed exclusives and them not doing with Wukong makes no sense. Stop with the conspiracy theories, Xbox is the issue.
