Yes, I'm glad it works for you too!! I feel like getting a trim twice a year gives your hair enough time to grow without it being too too long in between trims.
Great points! I agree about going heatless for a while I do this for about 3 months too! I noticed my hair retains length better heatless with braid outs. I wear my hair straight mostly but I like to take breaks for months at a time.
@LIFEWITHKELC Ok, because I've recently went back to using grease, and plan to clarify my hair next time I wash it. Grease really does keep the moisture in the hair longer. When I use oil, it dries back out faster🤦🏾♀️.
I would start off deep conditioning as often as you wash you hair. But my point in this video with regular conditioner is that if you take care of your hair you may not need to deep condition every time you wash your hair you could most likely get away with just conditioning your hair because your hair wouldn’t be as dry or damaged as before.
If you use a hair mask like Joico Moisture Recovery your hair would feel soft and moisturized. You need a conditioner that has words like hydrate or moisturize on the label.
@@joyceg7859 Generally if heat is used to often it can cause your hair to be dry because heat robs your hair of moisture so it could cause it to break easier. That’s what happened in my case but everyone’s hair is different. I still use heat on my hair though but now I do it twice a year instead of every 2 weeks.
@@joyceg7859 heat is actually more damaging to water. Black hair (proven by scientific studies) retains less water and were more prone to breakage with that fact plus the fact that each turn of our coil-curls is thinner
Thank you ❤❤
Of course Happy Sunday!! Glad to see you again in the comments ❤❤❤

So do you reapply the grease after clarifying your hair?
Yup I apply the grease after I’m done adding everything (leave in + gel) for my wash n go to top it off.

@@Cusp_of_magic I agree grease works better than oil for moisture retention.

Moisturize with conditioner ? I never heard that does it work ?

@ Yup this is so true!!
Why no heat ?

@ also if you use water too much … just like a plant … not good

@ Forreal ??? Wow. That’s crazy. It seems like my hair has been thriving since I stopped wearing wet styles and started a blow out regimen
