- In this video I take you around the workshop before I start the process of rebuilding it. I have recently got a new band saw and mitre saw, and there is no longer space to work effectively. I have designed a new workshop that will work for the small single car garage space I have, and allow bigger and better projects. The next few months of the channel will document the DIY approach to building a (hopefully) professional set up. there will be a new table saw outfeed table and mitre saw station. #diy #woodworking #workshop
K so I’m jealous of the bandsaw and surprised at how big the disc part of the sander is, it looks great!

The shed argument has raged on since we got the house - I will persist haha!

Your Ideas seem solid. Bench / mitre station on one side and then things mounted on casters. That was one of the best upgrades I made.
Some nice new toys, looks like it’s all coming together! Can’t wait to see how it looks at the end.
Thanks mate - going to be a long process getting it to where it needs to be but I guess that’s all part of the fun!

Well now, this is a bit of a coincidence because I got struck with a bout of insomnia a couple of weeks ago when at 2:30am I suddenly thought that if I were to move this big metal shelving unit I have I’d be able to re-do one wall of my shop as a mitre saw station so guess what my current project is as well? …Snap. Have a feeling it’s going to end up being an insanely long video, haha.
The 2:30 AM ideas are always the best ones haha 😂 looking forward to seeing yours come together, no doubt you’ll get there before I do so Ill be stealing some ideas I am sure!
@@thornedesignco I wouldn’t bet on it, reckon it could take me a few months in total, four stages of actual building / making plus a lot of clearing out and moving stuff in between. Like you I suspect I’ll need to ditch a lot of scrap wood that’s just a bit too small to really hold onto. Looking forward to seeing yours too.
Sounds like it’ll be a few videos! I’m thinking how I can also do the floor and walls during this process, so much to do haha 😆
