I've watched a few of your videos and have found them very helpful. I'm about 2.5 weeks post TT and I am on point with your timelines. Thanks for doing these videos... I think (sometimes) a surgeon's office take for granted how little patients know about the little things that can/cannot be done. . Watching your videos along with others have helped me become more informed. Again thanks for your vids❣️
Hi Joy, Thank you for your feedback! We put great value in educating our patients to ensure they fully understand their surgical process and genuinely enjoy providing as much information as we can to the public. It is so lovely to hear that people appreciate this :)
i had a tummy tuck with no muscle repair 10 days ago and even though its definitely easier than having muscle repair, im SO glad i worked hard on strengthening my core for a few months before surgery. ive also been doing pilates which has helped with the slower movements because i can squat down without bending to pick things up and its no issue at all. i love my results so far, i can almost stand up completely straight :)
It would be best to speak with your surgeon so that they can advise the best timeframe for you as well as monitor your recovery. Generally, patients can return to non-manual work around 4 weeks and if work requires more physical activity it is best to wait 6-8 weeks.
I Am 9 weeks post surgery TT with lipo on sides. I also had diastasis about 3 inches that was repaired. Doing lots of walking and just beginning to use light weights. Would swimming be ok? Would love to row, but feel a bit nervous due to the repair. Is it ok to do these two activities with my timeline and having had tummy repair?
Hi almost 4 Months ago I had Muscle repair, tummy tuck, and lipo the outer thighs, love handles & some on upper back but I look like I gained weight in the abdominal areas even though I eat clean & exercise 3x a week some walking, I went to see my surgeon about it and he said it is fat not swelling, what to do to get my tummy somehow better than looking like a 2nd trimester pregnant?! Thank you in advance.
It is always best to get advise from your surgeon as they know exactly what has been done and will see the recovery process in your post operative appointments. In my experience, swelling can last up until 12 months post surgery. For the best results, I will use Vaser Liposuction as part of the tummy tuck surgery.
Hi Usha, Thank you for your comment! It does depend on the type of abdominoplasty you have had so it is always best to talk to your surgeon who will advise on the best exercise for their method.
That is disappointing for you, recovery can greatly depend on the technique used when performing tummy tuck surgery - older techniques can create a longer recovery period. Dr Beldholm uses VASER liposuction in a tummy tuck procedure which has created a better recovery in his experience. Patients can be discharged from the hospital at day 3-5 and, as a receptionist in Dr Beldholm's clinic, I have seen patients come in for their 5 day post op appointment able to stand upright - there may be a little hunching from the tightness but patients are in good spirits. Patients are generally able to drive after 2 weeks. Each individual will have different recovery periods, this is something you may wish to discuss with your surgeon at your next post op appointment.

Lol, I’m on week 3 and can’t stand straight. This video seems unrealistic.

It took me almost 4 weeks to really stand straight. Everyone is different depending on what you had done and your fit level. How do you feel now?
