If you really want to cry she does another solo called No Rain, No Rainbow from this same show. There is also another version when she is a little older from the Legend - S - Baptism XX show that is rather emotional because it is the last show that one of their guitarist played before he died.
This remains one of my favorite Babymetal reviews of all time. I go back to it just to see her voice hit him the same way at the same moments it hits me.
There are a couple of Su-Metal songs and a couple of Moa-Metal and Yui-Metal songs they do together without Su (that is called Black Babymetal, you'll love it) on each album. Also, it gives the girls a break during the performances. And yeah man, stick to the live performances. That is how Babymetal are meant to be experienced! As far as crying goes, it happens to us all. Wait till you see Tales of the Destinies/The One! You will be weeping! No rain/No Rainbow- Dude you will be sobbing!
Yes, Babymetal was build around Suzuka/Su-metal. Her talent and way of singing was the reason Babymetal was created. How she does this at 16 years old, I don't know. Hell even at 14 years old she was amazing, probably earlier but I find it harder to recognize it then (as someone who isn't in music). It's amazing how well her singing style fits the loud music. If this makes you emotional, you are in for an amazing ride ! There is a piano-only version of this song too which is called Akatsuki Unfinished. But handle with care, it's dangerous stuff ! And you are right Ohmura is amazing. He's the most bad-ass guitarist with a pink guitar in the history of the world. :-) I think Babymetal style of making music seems to be a Japanese way of doing it, which is take elements from lots of genres and do it their own way. One reason Su-metal is singing by herself, because the other 2 are having a breather, remember this is an 1+ hour show with them dancing and they are 14 years old. They deserve a moment. :-)
Great reaction man! They have Su' solos and Moa and Yui duo's to give a rest in their concerts to the girl's, thats because Moa and Yui no appear on stage for this one, also the duo of Moa and Yui it's called Black BABYMETAL, the two perform very heavy music whit their kawaii voice's and dance moves it's just fun and kawaii overdoses xD, the Su's solos are more theatrical like you said on your reaction, and man that girl can sing whit so much power and feeling!! 😎💪🙌⚡
Great reaction - and as musicgarryj said, you should see Akatsuki (unfinished) for some real emotion. Su has two solos on each album - Yui and Moa as Black Babymetal also have two duets on each album without Su. You will get to them all in time :-)
I just rewatched your reaction, and It occurred to me that young people don't get the emotional aspect of music these days because there is no emotion in music now days. Babymetal is nothing but emotion! It is because of Megitsune, the Ladies! Our brains are wired for raw brutality with metal, with metal we think of raw brutality. Babymetal came along and said "no, 1+1 no longer equals 2!" Everything we thought we knew about Metal was turned on it's head by three, amazingly adorable, amazingly talented young ladies who bought femininity (女性性 Josei-sei) into the mix, which is a mind-warp to us, especially here in the West.
So, the next track is Doki Doki Morning. Their first song ever! It's a song that is Babymetal in a nutshell, literally about a young girl waking up and getting ready for school, with a metal soundtrack. Unlike with most videos, where the live versions are a must, tradition with reactors is to actually watch the official video for this (it's pretty crazy to see them as tiny(er) girls and the video is pretty weird, lol).
Great reaction! As much as the band is built around Su, I'm not sure i'd say she's the main attraction. BABYMETAL is the three girls. You'll understand once you've seen what Yui and Moa bring to the table in other songs 😊
Hell yeah, Suzuka is the main attraction! In fact, BABYMETAL only exists because of her voice. Their producer thought, back then, as he experienced her the first time, that her voice would be a pure waste for mere pop music. This song's title should be pronounced as follows: A like "u" in umbrella ka like "ca" in car tsu like "tsu" in tsunami if you say "Akatsuki" slowly or like "ts" in cats if you say in normal speed ki like "kee" in keen For the next album title, I highly recommend this video: *"Doki Doki Morning"* live at Saitama Super Arena 2015 www.dailymotion.com/video/x3tsxqk_ssa-doki-doki-morning_sport (safe with muted audio reaction) or their official MV
@@Iyashikei-t4u lol if your agreeing with his pronunciation there is now way in the world she is saying what you said she is saying .. its not that hard to hear what she is saying .. so anyway .. nothing to argue about .. we all love them and I know we all love this song .. Tc HS
Akatsuki derives from the 2 words [Aka] and [Tsuki] first one meaning Red and the second Moon or Night depending in context. I have also seen the whole word translated as "Dawn" which makes sense (red night) 4 syllables *[A-ka-tsu-ki]* spoken as one word with sharp, hard tone even on the vowels. I know Americans love their soft A, U and I but you'll have to do away with them here to get this right The U is not pronounced as in SUV but more like in the word "sudden" but its even shorter, almost mute. The most common misstake westerners do when saying this is putting to much emphasis on the U in Tsu when if said properly its almost a silent letter making the full word sound more like [A-kat-ski] rather than [Akatsuki] Hope this helps xP
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🔴 🌙 Well, the stage was not spinning the whole time, but it was spinning quite a bit. Looks like you were distracted by the singer. : ) 'Akatsuki' is one of the sadder BABYMETAL songs and Su delivers it beautifully. "Going over thousands of nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson!" A cool thing about the song title: The word means "daybreak" or "dawn", but it's written by combining the characters for "Red" and "Moon". Which helps explain the red moon imagery BABYMETAL uses in their concerts. In the track listing the character "Kurenai" is used instead of "Red", probably as a tribute to the X-Japan song with that name. Kurenai is a special kind of red, often translated as crimson.
