Hay mejores que Gutiérrez para esa posición Y Luna es más de lo mismo los latinos en general son bastante malos Saca los latinos de la selección de Estados Unidos y te aseguro que jugará mucho mejor
Eneli is an excellent choice. He only recently switched to a DCM role from a forward. And he was one of RSLs best players. He opened a new ceiling up with this position and he’ll likely show that he’s above the quality of most of these call-ups.
Not having the intro improved the video by a lot. Having it as an outro is perfectly fine. I’m hype to see Clark. I was really sad when his trajectory went downhill after the injury.
Would've liked to see Ragen get another chance at center back. He's been very solid for Seattle over the last two seasons. Not the quickest but can ping a really nice long ball and is low key good with his feet.
I think of Camp Cupcake as Camp Loki (low-key). Sorta meh. I think it's just to highlight players that MLS want to promote. That being said, I really hope Luna shows out. He's really one of the very few players in our pool that is so unpredictable. Of course, he hasn't yet shown a consistently high level, but the potential seems to be there. I hope he gets a move to Europe soon to prove himself.
I mean, the alternative is cancelling it, and doing nothing. I operate on the premise that something is better than nothing. Aidan Morris got his first call up at Camp Cupcake and now he's shining (well he's injured but you know what I mean)
@@Emeraldtheblackdavid I think he's fine where he is. Carrick is a good manager to develop him, and he was an every game starter before he got hurt. If he keeps up what he was doing for 1 season+, a Premier League team will snatch him up.
I'm interested in seeing how Arfsten does in this camp. He really came on strong for Columbus last season and dropped some highlight-level crosses. Could be a late-developing sleeper. ruclips.net/video/6zeU3_2esdk/видео.html
I think you’re too low/ don’t know about Arfsten and Enali. Arfsten played very well as a wingback(fits pochs system) and can play both on sides. Enali is a college developed player who played like one of the best 6s in his second season. Yes he is 25 but who knows how good he could become. Not saying he’d be a world beater but who knows if we’re talking about a guy at a solid European level at 27-28, especially if he shows quality in this window.
Saca a los latinos, ellos no son la gran diferencia hay muchos mejores jugadores que ellos que podrían estar Caleb Wiley, Clark, el hermano menor de Aaron son por ejemplo
I love your content, Pete, but I have some objections to some of your opinions. Schulte played like the 9th best American goalie in MLS (statistically), while Freese was the 2nd best overall goalkeeper. I agree with you that Steffen has been poor (I view him as having the worst MLS goalkeeping season). I also agree that Callender should not be on the roster. Lastly, for the goalkeepers, Gavin Beavers should be with the U20s. For the centerbacks, I don't like Zimmerman or Robinson, but they were statistically the two best American CBs in MLS. Also, we are not exactly rich in senior team CBs. I agree with your opinion that Ream is old, but he is still a part of the senior team. I like the Campbell and Neal call-ups, as they both surprisingly had good statistical seasons (I am also high on Neal's potential). The Noah Cobb shout from you is weird because he isn't really considered a high-upside player. When it comes to fullbacks, I agree that Moore should not be anywhere near the national team. Arfsten was fine but not inspiring. Also, Jones had a worse statistical season than Moore, so I have no idea why he's here. I also agree with your take on Tolkien. When it comes to midfielders, Cremaschi should be with the U20s. He is a good but not great prospect. I love the Luna and McGlynn call-ups because they are like ~top 100 club-level potential. I have no idea why we called up Eneli and agree that we should have called up literally almost anyone else. When it comes to wingers, I like rewarding Clark for his increase in form because he definitely has ~top 100 club-level talent. I also like the Gutierrez call-up. I agree with you that Miljevic and Vassilev should be nowhere near this roster. Lastly for strikers, Agyemang and White were statistically the second and third best MLS strikers, respectively, behind Morris. However, I agree with you that we should probably call up younger strikers, but if we were to go old, these aren't terrible selections. Lastly, I agree that Ferreira should be nowhere near this team.
i think you miss the point of this camp and your extremely negative. this is basically a depth scouting camp. figuring out who can be called up in the even some of the important players are out through injury
It should only be viewed as a positive. Other teams aren't doing anything in January. This is a chance to gain some ground, even if it's just through depth. Plus it's good to see local stars getting a chance on that stage. It makes fans here in the US feel more connected to the national team. I know I'll be tuning in to see the Columbus guys.
I think US Soccer missed the point of this camp. This is basically a depth scouting camp. So then make it that. The walker miles Jesus Shaq Moore (insert mls journeyman here) are not depth for the senior team. Move the fuck on.
yeah this roster was a dud for me definitely coulda gotten more younger players with potential also been very dissapointing that he hasn't been actively talking to anrie chase or nathaniel brown two guys that would instantly be in a fully healthy 26 man roster and could both really contribute to our world cup squad
Jail Neil, Randall Craig de Philadelphia Union, es un tremendo jugador en potencia pero nadie lo ha visto ahí tendríamos buenos tiros libres y buenos córners
😳🤔, I do not know about anyone else but for the Growth of Soccer ⚽️ especially Especially Youth Development/ International Competitions, Professional Soccer ⚽️ Teams Should release their young players from International Competitions 😳🤔
I wish you would just soften a little bit of the anti-MLS edge. I like your channel and your analysis a lot of the time, but I also love my local MLS team and enjoy the league. You can maintain that most MLS players shouldn't be considered for the national team without the insults like saying it's not a serious league. Also, Patrick Agyemang is a center forward and just finished his first full season in MLS - much too soon to call him a lifer.
Can't disagree with you, there isn't much here. A small number of players of interest surrounded by not very much. good/fine players just not USMNT quality. Excited to see Freese, Luna and McGlynn, Tolkin
Agyemang has played every single minute for Charlotte as a striker, yes he started his career as a winger but he has never played professionally there. Admittedly he shouldn’t be in consideration for the actual national team by any means at this point in time, but nothing interesting is ridiculous when you clearly haven’t even watched the player enough to know his position.
He's gotten too many injuries this early in his career for a European team to gamble on him. And since LA doesn't have him as a starter it makes sense to go for playing time elsewhere. Definitely disappointing but he's still young so we'll see if he can continue to improve/stay healthy
@Eli-213 not miles,Zimmerman and Ferrari. None of the old guard. Maybe they are there bc they couldn't get others, but that's the disappointing part of the roster for me. LUNA may change my mind tho
Stupid roster selection. Very disappointing. Was expecting more from Poch. Pete has it correct that this camp should be for young U23 promising players.
Maybe Poch isn't actually looking for players but is using the camp for him and his coaching team to practice teaching their philosophy/tactics to Americans in english. Time with the 1st team is limited so ironing out the kinks with scrubs could be helpful.
Can't wait to see Luna, Gutierrez and Clark, another player I'm very interested to see is Jack mcglyn

Ian Murphy is who you were thinking of. Also as a FC Cincinnati and USMNT fan you are right, he should not be there. Neither should Miles

Surprised about Jones but Arfsten played really well for the Crew this year.
Not only should BBL Shaq Moore be near the national team, he should also be near Spicy Jeff
Would've liked to see Ragen get another chance at center back. He's been very solid for Seattle over the last two seasons. Not the quickest but can ping a really nice long ball and is low key good with his feet.
Yo Pete, hopefully everything is good over there. I know the fires are close. I'll pray for you 🙏🏼
Bad take on Artfsten. If you put on some film, you’d see how electric he is. Confident, equal footed, passer and shooter.

Turkey or Belgium would be nice fits for him to show it on a slightly bigger stage while still getting the play time he needs
@@Emeraldtheblackdavid I think he's fine where he is. Carrick is a good manager to develop him, and he was an every game starter before he got hurt. If he keeps up what he was doing for 1 season+, a Premier League team will snatch him up.
why isnt MLS releasing players? Its their freaking offseason wtf
Diego Luna, Brian Gutiérrez
Eneli is underrated. Just watch his games
Any player that walks through those doors thinking this is camp cupcake is making a huge mistake
The moment I see an Inter Miami player I know that they are being called up simply for the Messi effect
Smh we should have called up Paul Rothrock and Griffin Dorsey to combine with Big Pat and create the 3 headed goat 🙏🙏
Pochettino is going to bring out the hunger of the Lions 🦁 in this January Camp as this is their opportunity to impress Pochettino 😳🤔
Guti is a ten. He's been forced to play wide for us tho so he is good there too
To be fair the mls just like any other league is / are a serious league
There’s no half doing this , if you want a league to be some what successful
Pete doesn't want the league to be successful. That's the point. He's openly scoffed at going to Galaxy games.
What about Ricardo Pepi?
My guy said max arsteffen lol
