I wasn't a mega Sega fan, but I will admit, that if they handle all these games with care, then I'm jumping on the hype train.

Sega realizes that they are so much more than just Sonic, and I like it.

It is not only games that we need though I am happy about this as an old timer AND WAS A SEGA HARDCORE FANBOY BEFORE, but what we really all need is a new POWERFUL HOME GAME CONSOLE AND HANDHELD GAME CONSOLE!

I'm actually looking forward to Shinobi and Golden Axe, both games I sucked at in the old days!

Newer games are usually easier, but Streets of Rage 4 had some challenge. :D

Hey what if Golden Axe adds in the other guys from Golden Axe 3, Golden Axe The Duel, and Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder?

I doubt we'll get ALL of them, but I can see a few showing up as cameos and the like. Of course GA3 and The Duel are very far in the future of the original games timeline so, assuming they follow anything from the original Golden Axe story that might prevent them from appearing.

Following the Game Awards, Washington Post reporter Gene Park caught up with Shuji Utsumi of SEGA to ask some questions, and whether or not there would be a new Virtua Fighter was one of them.
He responded that SEGA is currently "evaluating" a new Virtua Fighter game as we speak. They recognize that unlike other fighting game franchises like Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter is a more realistic fighting game without as many tricks of secret moves. They want it to stand out among the competition while also retaining what made Virtua Fighter good in the first place. He said they want it to be "Dramatic" and are currently working on it.
So to me, that means a new VF is in the initial planning and design stage where everyone's sitting around and making the design and planning documents for what will become a new VF game. They are well aware that there is a demand for a new entry in the series, including publicly expressed interest from Tekken Chief Katsuhiro Harada. It may still be a while before we see anything from this, but it's possible we could see a new VF in 2025.
