I have never understood the hatred to him, a very nice and kind guy, has the talent and it’s only a matter of time till it clicks and comes back. There’s good reason he’s been to 2 grand slam finals before, not his fault he went up against one of the if not the best of all time
It's good to see him be so open and honest about his struggles. He really want to feel better and that's a good thing. I watched many matches live and I was so impressed. His game, his movements, his forehand...everything. He's truly an amazing (and handsome) player. He's also one of the most interesting guys on tour. I'm sure he'll be back stronger
wow! such a great podcast, thank you guys! Also Stefanos showed a lot of emotional intellegency in this, especially towards his father, and stepping in when he couldn't recognise his shortcomings. Some of us have the priviledge to face the reality of our parents being human. Tennis is just a sport, what matters is the relationships and love we can take care of. Stefanos, you said you see everything, if you see this, I'm sending you a supportive hug
I understand there are some preferences of players and some of them are cute and some are cringe, but I can’t believe how much hate this guy is getting and how he is still able to compete. When you look at behavior of other of his pals, like Medvedev’s moments when he is losing, Zverev private life or Rublev’s aggression cases, you won’t say Stef is much worse than that, yet every step he takes and every word he says is “pathetic”, “stupid” and everyone hopes he lose every match. You are saying he is shit yet you are surprised he is losing first round and actually are wishing him that. It all started with a few toilet breaks, but show me a player which didn’t take one longer during hard match. Show me a player that didn’t said some stupid thing or shared some stupid content. Why is he the only one without benefit or doubt?
He's still young and talented. I appreciate him a lot as a player and i still think he'll be back, but he probably needs more time and that's okay. His priority should be himself. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Some "fans" ( haters and "tennis experts" too 😉) need to understand that.
Great episode! A credit to the hosts on being able to have Stef open up about several items that are close to him. I see Stef having a solid 2025, I wish him the best!
Nice ! merci pour la traduction en français plus simple, j'aime bcp Stefanos, intéressant ! Discours émouvant vis à vis de son père, belle sincérité dans tout son discours, des points communs avec Caro. Hâte d'entendre Agassi 😀
I got a lot of hate for another comment I made about stef live streaming right when Badosa lost her AO S.F but after listening to him I like the guy..I actually feel for him can’t be easy with overbearing Greek parents I know my wife is Greek. All the best Stef you’ve lived the dream it’s all gravy not many will live a life like yours..Find love have a family enjoy life after tennis of course..
@28:25 why "probably"? There is no shame in admitting he is the GOAT, or it's because he is not named Rafa or Roger, and not from your country Spain? I know Caroline has always been outspoken about who the real GOAT is; nevertheless, great podcast and thank you for doing this! just a sidenote on that RG final, Tsitsipas' mother recently gave an interview in Russian, where she said after being 0-2 down, Djokovic took a toilet break and came back on the court, Yuliya (Tsitsi's mother") said at that moment, she knew Djokovic would win! - she did not say it in a bad way at all, acknowledging that it was within the rules and rights; also love how Caroline phrases question with the family relations, very empathetic and shows a great understanding
He says he ran out of energy during the FO final against Novak because he hadnt eaten beforehand. Why couldnt he have had something to eat during the match or had his team pass him some food? Ive seen players eating food during a match on the changoever like a banana to keep their energy up
He probably didn’t eat all tournament can’t see him changing his routine for the final if so thats mismanagement. I’ve heard some bizarre excuses made by stef who knows 🤷🏻♂
@HardCandy-d9q I don't buy his excuse. It doesn't make any sense. I think he doesn't want to admit that he choked from 2 sets up. He has not been the same player since that FO loss, he's gone downhill badly so seems like the loss has caused psychological scar tissue. I doubt he would have been that mentally scarred by the loss if it was just a loss due to running out of energy . He knows deep down he choked and that he most likely won't ever get a chance like that to win a slam
@@Correspond-lk5wp tbh I don’t buy it either running out of gas sure but not because of eating that loss started his demise Alcaraz has finished it by taking his soul..The way Alcaraz has exposed his backhand with the high balls has mentally messed with Steph also making him lose all confidence in his B/H maybe he needs to do what Novak did with Nadal and play with an extended racquet ? He has no variance on the B/H side it’s too easy to attack. I also believe his time is past as he looks weaker his Serve and F/H aren’t as menacing..Anyways life will always be good for him but he like Zverev won’t be winning a GS anytime soon.

Stef is a very humble guy. More people should see this interview.

Just a question of time
Are you his mom? Lol 😅

If you ask half the people that hate on him or talk shit about him for their reasons, they don't even know why! Just a bandwagon mentality
Probably, because he is most nice looking among all of them...trust me it is matter
There is a saying “punchable face” so sometimes ppl hate for no reason ;)

Thanks for watching Jessica!
Amazing to hear his story and the story behind his and his Dad’s tennis separation.
Great to hear from Stefanos. Honest and genuine reflection on being an elite athlete in a hamster wheel sport
Thank you for watching :)

Borja here! Thank you for watching! Novak is for sure the GOAT :)
Why is Caroline Garcia interviewing Stef, is this her new career?
