- Manchester City let a two-goal lead slip as we drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.
Michael Olise scored an injury time equaliser from the penalty spot after Phil Foden caught Jean-Philippe Mateta in the box.
Jack Grealish had fired City ahead in the first half before Rico Lewis added a second 10 minutes after the break.
But Mateta pulled one back with the Eagles’ first attempt on goal before they snatched a point with a dramatic finish.

I think City really miss Gundogan this season, especially after De Bruyne injured. Gundogan can offer control and goal. We maybe have control in the midfield but we don’t have that goal threat, so opposite team can focus on our main attacker only unlike before almost everyone can score.

@@AAA-jq1tfFirst of all gundo was 32 a year older than De bruyne. Second his style of play didn't actually require pace. Midfielding is irrelevant to age, the older the age the better they are. Also he was one of the prime reasons they won titles.

@@dovecar6605Dias hasn't been great but it's not his fault entirely. They need to stop playing cbs as fullbacks. CBs as fullbacks are great sometimes but they slow down the rythm way too much. Let gvardiol play his natural position for crying out loud. Walker is so bad now. Not even a captain material. Sort the fullback problems and they'll stop conceding the goals. It's that simple. Pep needs to stop overthinking yet and play two simple natural fullbacks that can actually defend and help ik the buildup as well. Missing the likes of Cancelo and Zinchenko.

That's what City is missing... they always lead strong, but they crumble after 70-80 minutes.
Mahrez was there to put more nails into the coffin and end the match before it evolves into a "Thriller" situation.
For example, city was leading 2-0.. if they had mahrez, he goes in, bernardo goes out, score goes 3-0 or 4-0... No chance of comeback.
Now it went 2-2.
Palace always had City's number. well drilled, fast, tall, and direct. Everytime they play, City always needed to be saved by an extraordinary highlight worthy performance by their players. and sadly , those same players are already not in the club.

As a City fan. I have many a complaint... about us. How was Ederson not given red there? Terrible from VAR, happy as a City fan of course but gutted as a football fan. Now why do I still keep seeing, we need doku back, if only kevin were here, halland too, Mahrez was so good as well you know. Nonsense cause all those players,save for Kevin amd a bit of his pressing I guess are not going to solve anything. Our attack os fine and it has been for the entire season. Go look at how many shots Earling has missed, how many shot the whole team has missed yet we create like 15-19 shots game. What we need is Pep to stop over complecating things at the back or get our captin back from Barca somehow. Josko can't be playing at LB when Ake is around and non of the City defenders can do what Stones can so Pep should stop trying to replecate it when he is not around, use your fullbacks to invert if you want more midfielders. And last but not least. Drop Dias for a bit. He has lost form quite considerably. Pust Josko amd Stones at your center back. What a pairing that would be. All in all our attack is not the problem the horrid defense is

Pep should master the art of seeing out a game when leading. All the past 4 matches we've drawn, opponents came from behind to draw level. Foden, Alvarez and Lewis had business in that match after the 70th minute when you have Nunes, Kova and Stones there. Also, Ake is better off as an LB and Gvardiol CB

In these types of games in particular, we need Haaland. Haaland may not score the most goals against the very biggest teams, because the team wins as a whole in the big games, but Haaland is absolutely decisive in the small games. It saved them last year, Haaland scored points against all small teams, which we cannot do without him. Bernardo and the boys can play good against Liverpool, but we need someone who can finish the game and pick up those points in the small games as well. 3 points are the same regardless of whether we are facing Liverpool, Luton or Crystal Palace

The problem with city is the lack of creative mid fielders. Defenders, defensive mid fielders now have to run the match, create chances. These make work loads for defence and this leads defenders making mistakes. Kevin de Bruyne is coming back, but city still need a creative mid fielder. Kdb cant play in every match. Also rodri needs a backup. City must sign 2 players in January. They were overconfident in summer transfer window, now they must sign 2 players to save their season.
The exertion from last season is taking its toll on City's players just like Liverpool's quadruple attempt season. Players do get fatigue mentally after so many games.

In my opinion, the problem is we don't score enough goals. We used to score 3 goals in the first half.we used to blow the opponents mentally. Nowadays we give opponents too much respect. So they have tendency to comeback.we don't attack them mentally
I really think the same like we score 1 or 2 goals and we just stop trying to score more. It's very frustrating and disappointing. The defence is shaky. The drop in quality from last season is massive as well.

Our team weird because any team against Man City need 5 minutes to control the game then score a goal , on other hand Man City Contol 90 min to score a goal.
Gaurdiola should change his tactic, because most of the teams understood this weakness.

Our defense is getting weak, no confidence and hardly any pressure when defending, attacks needs to be more vicious as well maybe when KDB returns the attack might be better, but look closely, no one has fully replaced Vincent Kompany after all these years. Rodri clearly a good replacement for Fernandino but Diaz, Ake, Akanji, Gvardiol is far off from Vinny, can't throw Stones in the mix cuz he's been converted

I have said this over and over again. Gvardiol was a mistake, our defence was already cemented by the likes of Akanji, Ake, Stones and Dias. Walker and Rico as fullbacks would work just fine. There was no need to move stones back to CB. Dias and Akanji worked just fine as centre backs. Nothing much, just pep complicating things. We never needed gvardiol, he just destroyed the momentum
