"He kinda looks like Hopper from Stranger Things"
Yes, yes he does
it's strange
@@bmaster5324 maybe, but who am i to judge?
Ironic that it is 😂
Almost like a twin XD
Fen fact: The young girl that plays Natasha at the start is Millia Jovovichs daughter. And man does she look EXACTLY like her mom.
Wow, I never knew that but now that you said it, I cannot unsee it. Totally looks like Milla.
@@randomhockeyguy9149 Yep. First time I watched it I thought "Looks like a mini Millia". So much so that I remember she had kids, so I looked her up. Like a little clone.
Hmmm I was thinking "where did they get a young actress who looks a bit like Scarjo and speak russian as well" and i find out she's the daughter of one of my other favourite action actresseses
She's also going to be playing Wendy in the new Peter Pan movie! They've been in my hometown/province the last couple of weeks filming and they look like TWINS!
@@GillDawe Really? That will be great!
I cannot she the end credit scene without crying. You can see Yelena's love for her sister and her grief. It's such a bittersweet movie all the way. It has a lot of comedy and a happy ending, but not happy at all. I loved it, truly.
Might not be the best MCU film but the actors gave all out.
Specially David Harbour and Florence Pugh
Yea it’s not
It’s not the best at all
Yeah, the problem is the villain. Drakov is just boring. The "Black Widow family" all did a good job, but you need a good villain to make a really great movie.
To me Florence Pugh was the best part of the movie!! She’s an amazing actress and in that scene where she cries the best part of her life was fake mannnnn she did such an amazing job!
I think that post credit scene will somehow tie in with the Hawkeye series coming up.
for sure
Honestly i'm just hoping we see more of Julia Louis Dreyfus in MCU LOL
@@magykfyre4114 when I watched the movie I was like ELAINE BENNETS 😳
Julia looks like she hasn’t aged since her Seinfeld days.

Natasha and Steve don't have the awkward tension like they hooked up, they are peak platonic friends. Impeccable teamwork and support for each other without being romantic.
Taskmaster can copy the fighting technique of anyone he sees. During the bridge scene he used shield(like cap), used the scissor move(like Natasha), during bike chase he shot a perfect arrow (like hawkeye).
In her first shot she was studying Black Widow's moves from Iron Man 2.
other ones i spotted as well were winter soldiers knife fighting and spideys web swinging from the grapple and flip kicks
Her watching footage from Iron Man 2 is just for the trailers, in the movie, its Black Panther & Hawkeye fighting at the airport, during Civil War
The bridge Spider-Man is used as well
Good movie, but I wish we could've seen more of the red room and black widow's training.
The broken nose Lowkey the best part of the movie cuz it’s so clever AND mad respectable
25:38 I kept waiting for Natasha to say, "I could do this all day"
I actually love this movie. As far as first "solo" Marvel movies go, it's my favorite. Nat's backstory is so dark and twisted and seeing Melina tell her to keep her heart was so beautiful, especially because that's what Nat learned to lead with. Her heart helped save the world. Her sacrifice made beating Thanos possible. The acting is great, the story itself is good. Yeah the villain is lackluster, but that's 99% of Marvel movies. They have a villain problem, I don't see why it's such a big problem for Black Widow. Yes, Taskmaster is a dope character, but by choosing to make it a programmable thing, it can always come back. It's not like they killed Taskmaster.
My biggest problem was the wonky CGI and that's not really even a huge bother to me.
It's an enjoyable, emotional, and action packed movie. I couldn't really ask for more.
Movie was awesome. When she jumps off the ship freefalling to save her sister was siiick.
Since primate didn't recognize hopper ima say that he the type of guy who would be confused by Clark Kent taking off his glasses and being surprised its superman lmao.
Lmaoooo
LMFAOO
Hawkeye's technically the reason she chose to sacrifice herself but De Fontaine left the important part out: she did it so he could see his family again.
I'm curious to see how that conversation's gonna go.
Don’t know if anyone said; Young Natasha had already been through the Red Room training during the scene where she was protecting Yelena from the military taking them. She said she didn’t want to go back there and that Yelena was only six.
While I'm not sure what part of Russia the *Red Room* generally floats above, there's a hell of a lot of unpopulated¹ landmass that it can float over. Even with crystal clear skies, no one would ever see it.
··•✯•··
¹ ─ Or sparsely-populated. Also, from what I understand, some of those living out in the wilderness areas are often just single farms, with folks living decades behind modern times.
I thought your girlfriend would've watched this with you! Hawkeye is Disney Plus show starting Nov 24th, 2021. I thought this movie was top 5 of all MCU movies. Loved it. Academy Award caliber actresses make a difference. Unfortunately, the low box office I think will slow down the future of the MCU, however, which is a shame. If not for the pandemic this movie would've easily made over $1 billion. It was waaaay better than Captain Marvel which made $1 billion plus. Florence Pugh is a phenom-- Looking forward to your Midsommar reaction with her and looking forward to Yelena in Hawkeye and beyond!
This movie got a lot of stick personally I love it Florence Pugh with the carry for this one👌🏾
Nah, it's generic predictable trash for braindead marvel drones.
@@MisterDevos aw bubba are you mad?? You litreally only comment and give hate pretty sad if you ask me go do something with you’re life you sad guy😂
If someone has to “carry” a movie then it’s safe to say it wasn’t a solid movie
@@rynss sad to see how people just get to say it’s “hate” now, you also had the time to reply so who’s the one wasting their time again
@@joejeff800 Don't cry
This is as much a Bond movie as it was an MCU movie. I think that was a bit of a swerve for audience expectations. I guess it stands out compared to the MCU, but compare this to some of the Bond films, especially those with huge all-out finales and it fits right in.
Florence Pugh stole the show, I have nothing else to say.
That post credits scene has me hyped for the Hawkeye show that comes out in November
"F*ck all that man, f*ck all that." Primate was not wit them climbing around that steam chimney🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think you're wrong Alexesi did help them to escape from SHIELD in the beginning while hanging onto a plane and shooting.
I enjoyed Black Widow a lot and the emotional family parts were very touching and looking forward to seeing more Yelena most likely Hawkeye Disney Plus series.
Also without him they woudnt find Molina which knew where is Red room, he kept Taskmaster busy, Alexey was quite useful
Thanks, Primate! 🕷️ I *loved* BLACK WIDOW!!! The dysfunctional family dynamic resonates strongly with me. 💎
Still can't figure out why Natasha didn't get rid of her sense of smell BEFORE she got captured....
Maybe just to throw the dude off idk
All she knows beforehand is that the pheromone prevents her from hurting him. Does it stop her from raising her gun or stop her from firing? Does it just make her freeze? She doesn't know, but he probably does. One thing she did know was that he was an easily goaded PoS who would have no problem hitting her, even knowing full well she couldn't fight back.
That pop up at the beginning cracked me up. Btw I know it was cut from the vid but that opening credits scene hits hard bro.
In the comics there was a guy that was posing as captain America. He didn't have the serum, and here we hear red guardian talk about fighting and beating cap. And it was pointed out that cap was frozen at the time of the fight. Did they confirm a look a like while he was a capsicle???
You're forgetring that around this time, Steve was helping Bucky track down the rest of the Winter Soldiers and confront Zemo.
That was already done
I liked the movie though Taskmaster should have had more character development.
Yup
Taskmaster should've actually been Taskmaster
@@CoffeePotGames right lmao
@@CoffeePotGames i think they’ll bring taskmaster back as the actual taskmaster, because doesn’t drakov say “taskmaster program” or something so it could be anybody
I think the reason they want hawkeye dead is because of what he did as Ronin between infinity war and endgame
Alexei/Red Guardian did a lot in the beginning of the movie.. when he was younger.. haha!
No, that's not the actress that played Agatha that's Rachel Wiesz she starred in the Mummy.
I don't usually watch Marvel movies but I watched the hell out of this one
Both me and Primate were worried for that poor pig not breathing. Entire time she's talking I kept thinking...okay let the pig breathe now PLEASE!😑😑
It's not the best MCU film, but not the worst. Flawed but fun, and it was a movie we needed after the drought of MCU films we had because of the Pandemic. The villain and plot wasn't great. But the acting was solid, as usual. Say what you want about comic book movies. But Marvel has an excellent record for hiring talent, and getting the most out of their performances. I really look forward to seeing more of Florence Pugh. And hopefully this is not the last we've seen of David Harbor and Rachel Weisz.
5:30 lol good eye i didnt realize it until i saw him with the beard
Wonder what rubbed people the wrong way about the movie or what you were mentioning at the beginning of the video. Solid movie, I liked it, Florence Pugh was my favorite in this. The damn poser joke haha, wish you had kept all of those scenes in this. Hey Alexei did all the shooting at the beginning of the movie haha.
Hey Primate, have you watched the movie Tag? Would like to see a reaction to that if you haven’t yet.
I think a lot of fans were ticked with the portrayal of Taskmaster as it's not accurate to the comics at all. I didn't mind it, but then I'm not a huge fan of the character.
Scarlett widow should’ve been the main character in her own movie
@@bustedsim there's alot of reasons tbh, actually it's now confirmed tonystark was cut from this movie because of someone's political agenda, not only that red guardian was an absolute joke, but also yeah, this isn't task master, it's just a pathetic excuse for him
Movie was released way too late to care, her surviving the car flipping 50 times, her surviving falling down the building with no scratches whatsoever, stupid dialogue, obvious villain “twist” , unbelievable scenes like her picking up someone two times her size with one arm while on a helicopter, bad CGI , men are sidetracked as per usual on the latest marvel movies (red guardian is just a dumb idiot for 90% of the movie, also can break down a metal door sending it flying but cant break a bit of glass because they have to let other people do it) , they also kill a bunch of innocent security guards and random people at the prison which is all apparently just okay. Just an incredibly stupid movie, to top it off, end credits dont make sense since she could only hear about black widows death if the avengers told her, so she should know the circumstances, if it was announced the avengers would tell everyone she was a hero, but you know, need to lead up to hawkeye show. Just not enjoying where the MCU is headed whatsoever
@@Onyx474 well everyone pretty much knows she’s dead since she’s the one not back. The movie went with more of the comic widow instead of the way the mcu portrayed her since she’s damn near an equal to cap in comics. Also this movie didn’t need Tony stark in it it’s already bad enough he’s in Spider-Man movies. The only problem really was Taskmaster and it seems you’re just upset about the gender change which is really not the problem.
This was not the black widow movie I had hoped for. What I wanted was a movie about Natasha.
Instead her sister stole the movie and I loved every second of it. And now I want Yelena to have her own movie sooner rather than later.
He did what a female character do in regular movies. He gave emotional and moral support. He was a support character and had no great hero moments. He's like a Pepper Pots in Iron Man 1 I think
I’ve said it on other reaction videos, but I’ll say it here too. Interesting that Nat’s mother’s grave has a body with no name…while Nat’s grave has a name but no body. :(
yes that's hoppers actor 😭😭
[ the mom is played by rachel weisz not kathryn hahn (the actress for agatha) ]
I really loved this movie. A great cinema experience and Florence Pugh was excellent
It wasn't done like a big MCU production it was done to blend in with Falcon & the Winter Soldier.
Same Actress Who Plays Black Widow She Plays Ash From "Sing"
I didn't like how the "parents" had broken english when they had accents but didn't before
The bit where Red Guardian is suiting up reminds me so much of the trailer for The Incredibles!
Also, when it seems like it's going to be a clear day, I would bet they move to somewhere that it's not going to be a clear day.
Super Widow: The movie where Natasha can survive in cars that flip, crash, and explode, from being kicked off a bridge by a super soldier, from falling off a 10 story building, and from a ceiling collapsing on top of her.
But then a few punches from an old dude knocks her on her ass
I mean it’s just the mcu realizing late that Widow is supposed to be a super solider. Kind of like they wouldn’t call asgardians gods early on and then realized they are.
No the mother is the actress in the Mummy movies
How it should've ended: Black Widow accidentally knocks herself out severing the nerve.
This is definetly leading into the hawkeye show
When you said he looks like hopper,
I was just thinking, well no shit😂
Yes it’s hopper
top tier opening credit sequence ( in 4dx especially too)
Natasha cannot stop falling from heights. City, the sky base, then vormir lol 💀😩
Oof
Whats interesting is theres a deleted ending where when she whistles by natashas grave somebody whistles back
But unfrotunately by them not making it the ending it probably means Natasha is actually dead which is sad cause i feel like black widow had potential to be a good character it was just mishandled just like hawkeye
19:36 his laugh is iconic
yo how is that thing you do zooming in and out of the face cam called? I'm trying to start a youtube channel and I like how it looks.
I loved this movie. 8/10
Don't dis The Mouse when he wants to steal from you...
That’s the same actor who plays Hopper
Funny you thought Rachel Weisz looks like Kathryn Hann. I can't imagine mixing them up. Maybe you were recognizing her from recently watching Enemy at the Gates and just got your mental wires crossed.
this movie is in the bottom third of the mcu. they were better served exploring the budapest event and making an entire film about that. and make this a duo picture in the vein of the upcoming dr strange film, the upcoming captain marvel film or ant-man & the wasp with hawkeye being the co-star (could even still include her "family"). also don't make up a villain for this movie, use like aleksander lukin or any number of actual soviet villains the comics spawned.
Yeeeess, such a great movie!👍👍
Yelena will return in Hawkeye
imo the film was alright, Florence Pugh was definitely the standout of the film- loved her performance!
This movie is awesome
A lot of the fight scenes were clearly inspired by the Jason Bourne movies.
Unrelated to Blackwidow but when you have time I'd recommend True Detective season 1. Mathew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Maybe the greatest miniseries ever written. Definitely will leave you with many twists and turns. Deep on so many layers.
There. She is dead. Wait. No? Does she have superpowers? Always thought she was human, but ok, my mistake :-)
My friends say the end was disappointing
I love every second of it
I don’t like what they did to Task Master but I still like the movie. Task Master has the ability to copy the moves of the street level Avengers.
Right after mans said "Ladies and Gentleman, we got..." I thought London on the Track, why you sound like the adlib there bro LMAO
Lmaooo
I love how high you look at the beginning 😂
Nah just tired I do them in the morning
I wonder if black widows family were blipped or not
the howkeye thing is a series, what will come out in november 2021
Instant click 🔥🔥
From the mcu I expect a good movie and they always deliver
I don’t think scarlet Johansson is gonna be in any Disney movies after that.
7:21 yelena said roxanna so I guess that’s the widows name
*Oksana
@@ultron4724 thanks for the clarification
Weak antagonist, otherwise pretty good action flick. Loved Florence Pugh, imo, was the standout in this. She's awesome.
7/10 mcu movie, somewhere in the middle, really enjoyed it tho
That is hopper from stranger things. Also I am so confused about what happened to the brother
Of course Hawkeye didnt kill Natasha. But Yolena doesnt know that. And how often do we see characters being manipulated. Yoleena knows that Hawkeye had tried to kill her in the past... and she actually stated he was responsible for death. Not that he killed her. So, other than possibly being manipulated, if they want Hawkeye dead why wouldnt they play her? No one was there to witness and state what exsctly happened
As for "Megan". Idk if they called her rhat or not. But they were undercover. So... not really a big deal if they did call her that. Im fairly certain Red Guardian wasnt using hus actual name while in the US.
I really wish that someone could make decent DC movies
They tried too hard to make her more like a superhero. She's not a super soldier, but they had her falling three stories and hitting stuff on the way down and I'm like bro. Based on this movie, she probably could have survived the fall in Endgame.
Also, that Nirvana cover was one of the worst things I've ever heard in my life.
I mean the real black widow actually has the serum so they made this one more based on the actual black widow.
Lol good reason it reminds you ofHopper
Idk why people drag this movie, I thought it was thee shit! I'd watch this over some of the other MCU movies *coughs* Ultron, Thor 2 🤷♀️
# put pink panther 2006 in the poll
Have you seen The Mummy trilogy? Rachel is amazing in it (well, just the first two movies but that's another thing 😂)
Oh, Black Midow.
Great 1st 10 minutes, and Florence Pugh kills it, but meh style, andgeneric villains, Taskmaster ruined, better version from Spider-Man PS4.
Scarlett johanson its so col
Amazing reaction!!
Clear Day ... Paint the sky with chemtrails they'll never see the Red Room
Rachel Weizs and Kathyrn Hahn look nothing like each other.
Yeaahhhh...
I went into this only half excited because its the first female led MCU movie, but also not really caring that much about Black Widow, but I LOVED it. It had a totally different look than most MCU movies, they did a great job balancing humour, fight scenes, as well as having an emotional impact. I thought the casting was fantastic and I thought it was so fucking badass that the cast was so overwhelmingly female, something that is normally the complete opposite in action movies. I think it had some of the best fight scenes I've ever seen! Just really a bummer that they waited until there can literally be no sequels to give us a Black Widow movie.
Umm... Not to be that person but this isn't the first female led MCU movie...
@@meghnagoel6766 Ah yes, I totally forgot about Captain Marvel, and I guess you can consider Ant Man and the Wasp, but that's shared so I'm not going to. Still, considering she's been in the MCU for over a decade, kinda ridiculous that it took this long.
Yeah... This story should have been a sequel
The case could be made this is one of the best stand alone MCU films. When you notice the issues, most people have with it fall in line with Taskmaster (not being a boy) is the main and only constant complaint.
You will notice the only people who complain about it are those, whose reaction to the film we didn't get to see, I am still waiting for that Reactor to not like the film before the Taskmaster reveal hurts their feelings.
Can’t say I agree with you. I am certainly not a comic book fan, I had no idea whether taskmaster was a man or woman before I saw the movie. Still, I think it’s easily one of the most forgettable antagonists in the mcu. For a supposedly formidable opponent, she never actually succeeds in the film. Never beats the hero. Not once. Barely has a line of dialogue in the whole thing, and the contrived plot kinda prevents any momentum. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a decent film, but not great. And to suggest that the only people who don’t love it are butthurt over the taskmaster being an entirely different character (still not unreasonable imo) is pretty naive.
Umm no the problem was Taskmaster is not anything like Taskmaster. There are some idiots that only notice the gender change. The actual fans however have a problem with them turning one of the most talkative characters into another winter soldier basically with no personality.
For me the thing is that THE MAIN VILLIAN IN BLACK WIDOW, is Dreiko, and this is Black Widow, who has who caused her more damage in her life, who destroyed her "family" and her childhood, the real villain is Drako no The Taskmaster, so for me is al right that is Antonia and not the Taskamaster that the comics fan wait, Who you want to die and pay for what he did to so many girls, I Hate than Natasha die (She was my favorite Avenger), but at least understand more why she did it, (not just for Clint)
@@Cream-2128 probably why it wasn't Taskmaster.
They specifically called it the "Taskmaster Protocol"
It is similar to getting upset, because the other black widows, did not behave like ScarJo's black widow
@@alfielee2989 Except in you calling me out as naive, you only stuck to the taskmaster, the comment below only complained about the taskmaster not being the taskmaster.
So it was a year ago and I am still waiting on something outside of the cgi in the 3rd act, all I have beyond that is the Taskmaster....
You have to watch falcon and the winter soldier to find out who the woman in the credit scene is in the end
Not really because Black Widow was originally supposed to come out before Black Widow and besides he already saw Fatws.
@@knightshadowhimself I mean valentina
I really liked this move; I don't get all the hate directed towards it. I guess it's cool to be against SJW/strong woman characters or some crap. I don't remember Captain Marvel getting this hate and Black Widow is a MMMUUCCHHH better movie than that.
Captain Marvel got plenty of hate, what are you on about?
Well... That hate was mostly directed at Brie Larson than it was at the movie...
