😂 The silly one who drops his pants in 7°C water for a turd 💩

Thanks for sharing!
I watch Australian and lots of RUclipsrs in Florida and just love seeing you in the UK.
I'm a spearfisherman from Türkiye. I am thinking to move to UK . I hope I get to dive there one day. Great video by the way.
Thank you. For all the inspiration. The great camera shooting and editing, the great speargun shooting and presenting. And representing.
Warm wishes to you and yours, and anyone else who happens by this comment. Have a merry one. ✌

I would reallyreconmend sprarfishing at Sardinia once Danielmann. Caribean crystal clear water unbelievable and lots of fish
Thankyou for your amazing content! From a spearo in Sydney. Your videos inspired me and taught me how to spearfish. One year in, over 100 dives done. I thankyou for getting me into this incredible hobby!
That is awesome! Huge amount of dives, great job.
Excellent videos thanks for sharing

D Mann. Merry Christmas. Best review since 2021. Love it mate 🙌🙌🙌
Thanks Dan, I take it you didn’t like last years review 🤣
Merry Christmas to you and your wife, thank you for making wonderful videos and sharing your experiences with us.
May the new year be full of new adventures for you both. You’ve brought a lot of joy to someone who can no longer swim but to being a paraplegic, but loves the outdoors and watching you spear lots of cool fish.
Merry Christmas to you to 🎄 Glad you are enjoying the videos 🙌
Yes, Daniel. Just what I needed this morning. Roll on Maaarch......!!
I’m hoping the weather settles before then!
Bravo Daniel! Tanta passione! Un saluto dalla laguna di Venezia!
Grazie! Buon Natale.
Buenos lances Daniel. Y como transmites ese feeling de tranquilidad que se siente cuando uno esta en el mar. Felices fiestas desde Málaga.

Good day Mr. Daniel! As usually THE BEST!
When sea decides to give a gift, usually its a trophy! Superb bass mate!
I thought the bass was much bigger but only weighed 3kg. Still a great way to cap off the season.
Haven’t done it in years , this makes me want to do it again
Keep up the great content. Allways learn a thing or two ;)
Thanks Ruben!
Merry Christmas 🎉 cant wait for the 2024 videos! Thanks for all the amazing videos and experiences you’ve put out there this year!

I’ve moved up the coast and retired mate. Port Macquarie now. Still in touch with the Sydney mob and the Falcon is dropping in very soon. I’ll give him your regards. I’ve finally found what I’m good at. Retirement 😂@@DanielMann

Cheers Rune!
What a review, super nice. But hey, take these red mullets, they are absolutely delicious!
They were quite small, it did cross my mind though.
Epic stuff! Thank you for the awesome content this year!
You’re very welcome 🙌
Big thanks for sharing some of your experiences and delivering top quality videos in all aspects! Chapeau bas! Merry Christmas to you Daniel and to all your viewers. God bless!
Cheers John!
What a great recap Daniel! I'm sitting here, cold and in need of salty water already! you are such an inspiration. In the new year i hope to go to the "wild west" cost of Denmark to hunt down that big school of sea bass that i missed this season... can't wait for the 2024 season to begin after seing this video ;)
Mery Christmas! looking forward to see what your 2024 will look like :D
Thanks Daniel! I hope you find that shoal of bass!
Another great video Daniel. 👍 It’s been a good year and I’ve really enjoyed your company and vids. Next time we dive together, I must do a better job of giving you content 😂
It’s been a great year. Yes, stop being such a greenie, except in the comps, you’re welcome to be the biggest greenie you want if I’m diving it also.
Thanks for all the great content this year! Merry Christmas, happy new year, and may 2024 bring you to more amazing places!
One question/request: could you do a video describing your filming setup and process? Your tutorials are always helpful, and I'm sure you have a ton of knowledge on this subject the spearfishing community could learn from you. Thanks again!
Cheers Juan, there are loads of film making tutorials on RUclips, I’m not sure I’d add much to the noise. I might do one in action cameras however. That seems to be a popular topic.
Another fantastic video Daniel, thanks for sharing great content. The work, the quality, and the focus you put into your videos has made me record and share again after several years of apathy. I wish the Mann family a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Thank you very much, merry Christmas!
Complimenti Daniel bel video.
Grazie Mario, buon Natale!
@@DanielMann grazie ed altrettanti Auguri di Buone Feste per te e per la tua famiglia.
Good bass. You must have had quite a bit of weight on for the 9mm - leg bender when u exited the water! All the best for 2024
It's not so bad when diving a bit deeper. I think just the 4kg on the vest and maybe another 3-4kg on the belt.
This is rediculously good!
So much so that I think I will move back to the UK.
I'm not even joking, moving back mate 😎🐟🐟🐟
Oooffttt!!! Big tings!
I was hoping for the double at 11:18😂
i would like it very much if u posted the footage of every one of ur hunts, even if it's unedited on another channel for example!!! anyways great video as always!!
Awesome video as always mate!
Cheers George!
Great year Danny! Thank you for all the vids! Just remember never to turn your nose up again to sizeable red mullet. Its maybe the tastiest fish out there... definately the best tartar/cheviche thingy ...
These ones were really small, just very close to the camera!
My bad then :) @@DanielMann
Süper video 💯👏👏👏🐠❤️
You are always welcome at Bodrum. İt would be nice to hunt and cook together
Thank you! We were in Bodrum in October, it was amazing.
You should plan a spearfishing video in South Dakota, USA for 2024!
My son and I would love to have you in our state.
Keep up the great videos! Give me a shout if you are interested!
❤❤❤❤
It is really fascinating how big schools of fish are there in England...
It can be really fishy at times.
Third! Lets go CROATIA!
🥉 🇭🇷
you are an extreme optimist
Why do you say that?
@@DanielMann not to be rude or flippant, but I can't think of many places worse than the UK to spearfish
@dermeister314p why? No sharks, loads of fish, lobsters, scallops, crabs and all in shallow water.
@@DanielMann beautiful blue water, coral, big fish, turtles, dolphins, marlin, tuna... ?
@@DanielMann but ok, I should check all your older videos for those...
Hey Daniel, lovely video as always, I'm a bass fisherman on the south coast of the UK, was wondering what your pb seabass is? Great job as always
Biggest is about 10.5lb from Brighton in 2016. Never shot a bigger one since.
@@DanielMann an incredible fish, congrats!

Dear Daniel!
Simply magnificent video as always!
I was curious about the switching of Carbon guns to alu guns, because I have considered that myself too.
I really love my old aluminium gun, but they aren’t in production anymore.
Are there any alu guns you will recommend? What are you using for example?
Greetings!
Hi Simon, I’m using the meandros B32. Really happy with them and the buoyancy with the thicker barrel is fantastic.
If I can, I will never dive without a neck weight again. I also use a heavy duty bungie loop tied with a constrictor knot on my spear butt to counterlever my 90cm aluminum rail gun. I can twist my wrist to make the loop tighter if needed, lock my gun in place when i swim with the handle near my waist by flipping it and using the tension of the bungie to sort of lock the handle with my fingers instead of awkwardly holding it upside down, and when i land a big striped bass i can let the gun go and catch the loop with my fingers where the bungie helps tire the fish out because of its stretch. The counterlever aspect alone makes me wonder why more Spearos dont use a similar setup on guns over 80cm. Thoughts on neck weights and my handy dandy spear butt loop?
I don't find the need for a neck weight unless I'm in the pool doing freedive training. If you are connecting a speargun to you in any way, shape or form I'm against it and would strongly recommend you stop the practise. It's extremely dangerous and someone in the UK has lost their life tethering their speargun to their hand.
@@DanielMann constrictor knot is on the butt, not the wrist. Rolling my wrist 1 or 2 times tightens the loop, but the tension is only locked in place by griping the gun. As soon as you let go of the handle the loop twists free. Furthermore, even if say the tuna clip gets caught on my forearm the Bungie stretches enough so I can pull my hand through at any time, so the gun is no more attached to me than it is without it. Trust me brother, the counter lever, tension clutch, and lockability during gun tuck makes this another addition I will never dive without. As far as neck weights, the ability to put 4 lbs on your neck instead of your waist has amazing benefits. Less back pain with heavy weights for thick suits, DDs are far more efficient, form improves during descents/ascents because the weight is heavier/lighter, and I barely notice it even on long days in the water. Try one out and you'll add 15%+ to your down times. Seriously.
Lovely vid Dan 🙏 I love my Rob Allen twin 14mm banded snapper 90 👍
Have a great 2024. A little gift for you, if you haven't done, buy BTC before it's too late! 💚
Thanks for the great video. I hope you don't mind me asking. Which brand of speargun are you using now and why did you switch from the Orca carbon fibre?
I still have my orca spearguns. I don’t use them in the U.K. as they are too big. I had smaller carbon guns from underpressure in Greece and swapped for meandros for my everyday diving in the U.K.
I have a question im sure someone else doesn’t want to ask, where are the sharks? I never seem to see or hear of any around England
We get porbeagle sharks occasionally but only in certain spots. Blue sharks way offshore but not something spearfishers encounter regularly.
Hi Daniel. I heard you came to Türkiye, when will you release the video of Türkiye?
Covered this at the end of the video 😎
i see now!! Looking forward to see it.

Nice recap. Hey, in one of your many past videos you mentioned a suit lube in powder form that you just whip up on the spot using a water bottle. What's the brand name of that again?
Slippy
@@DanielMann Excellent. Looks like they have it at my local shop.
Do you think you'll have an opportunity to go to the Isles of Scilly this year?
No plans to go but not a great variety of fish either. Mostly pollack.
@@DanielMann Interesting, this is the sort of thing I wouldn't know not being a spear fisherman or marine biologist. I wonder why that is? Presumably because it's more isolated and "open ocean" than offshore areas of the rest of the UK.
Perhaps more suited to a mini break with a side of spearfishing. If you've not been yet it's a very interesting and beautiful place. Feels very different even to Devon and Cornwall. All the best.
Isn't there an absolutely devastating maelstrom of a current in the south coast, being at the english channel? I'd be hell of afraid getting sucked out.
It can be depending on the time of the tide. Sometimes it will take you to France, sometimes it will be completely still.
Hey Dan,
I'll be back home in Cornwall late January, do you think I'd get away with my 5mm for the occasional scallop dive or should I grab a 7mm jacket and stay with 5mm pants or go 7mm all over ??
For a quick scallop dive you could get away with a 5mm but once it hits December it’s full 7mm for me.
Hi Dan, how much weight do you use for that 9,5mm wetsuit?
Depends on the depth really. But in 15-20m I think it used around 4kg on my vest and about 3-4kg on the belt. I was using 7mm pants.
@@DanielMann thanks mate! :)
when you say you are pushing it with the tide... i dont have a lot of experience swimming out as far as you do... do you sort of only swim out in an ingoing tide or slack tide so you avoid being swept out to sea or is outdoing tide not really a problem?
I know that the tide will start to become stronger and stronger as time goes on so I want to avoid that so I can swim back safely. By pushing it I mean I’m staying too long even though I know I should already be swimming back jn.
@@DanielMann Thank you very much for clarifying :) personally to me thats an important point i need to learn a bit more about :) Gotta get some of those neat tide tables you showed in another video.
