I've just come back from a road trip where I broke down all the time! Eventually a fuel filter was fitted inside the bay as we were on the road. It's been fitted as you say, with cable ties and it's a good quality plastic one. Mate of mine says they've created a custom built holder to house the filter under the bay so maybe one day I can get him to move mine for me. Meantime, I also have a Blazecut installed for any potential fires :)

Hey mate, fantastic video. I've followed your posts on your site for years and ordered one of your kits that has a bunch of spares in it ages ago and while I've not had to use it yet it's been incredibly useful to have on me.
I'm in the process of bringing my 1971 bus from the UK to Norway permanently which involves a road trip with some ferries thrown in there too so your helpful tips and advice are really appreciated for getting me both mentally and physically prepared to take my bus somewhere new where I don't have a catalogue of nearby garages to rescue me.
Keep up the great work - your videos are really clear and that helps a bundle.

@@wayoutwestiemike Absolutely! I'll be over on the west coast in Stavanger if you ever make it over here.
One thing I would really like to see covered is an overview of what oils and greases/lubricants to use. A lot of the videos I see are often from a US perspective and some of the products they use aren't always available in the UK. I fear I'll have the same challenge when I bring the bus over to Norway so before I do that any opportunity to stock up on any particular lubricants that are recommended would be good.
Likewise if there are any to avoid that would be good too. Cheers!

Hi Michael. Slightly off topic but what electric fuel pumps do you recommend, my Huco just recently went faulty and need one that’s going to last me longer than the 2 years the Huco did. Thanks.

Huco are no longer my go to as the low pressure versions are all faulty and have been pulled by most suppliers. I use a cb/carter rotary now.
