I live in Vermont. I think its one of the most beautiful states in our Republic. You dont come here though for excitement. You come for its gorgeous scenery. Autumn in Vermont is a sight to behold........
My Heart is a Chainsaw is one of my favorite books I've read this year!! Jade is such an incredible horror protagonist and it has a lot more going on than just blood and scares which I always appreciate. The Deep didn't end up being my cup of tea, but it's fun if you like classic Stephen-King-esque horror (or if you enjoyed the Troop), there's some pretty crazy body horror too
Pretty Girls is a great read. Not something I'd normally pick up but WOW was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Also you hairdo is too cute! I love how your hair looks spikey at the back.
The Deep by Nick Cutter is a solid read. Great pick-up. Also you're comment at 10:20 resonated with me. I feel the same way. (I commented before, but Black Farm by Elias Witherow is a good book. One of the most twisted, dark tales I've read.)
You talking about getting nightmares from Bobbing for Bodies, reminds me of the time i watched a funny movie before bed instead of a horror flick and i had such a scary nightmare. I never have nightmares lol.
I love your channel so much :) You are delightful. I just started reading The Terror based on your recommendation. So far, I absolutely love it! Thanks so much. Happy Halloween, y'all!
I have been heavy into cozy mysteries lately and that one has been on my list!! I also like to go between extreme horror and cozy adorable mysteries haha
I would say Pretty Girls is my all time favorite thriller, though I had to put it down once or twice in the more gruesome parts. I have read so many thrillers, that ones just.. idk different. Im just now getting into exteme horror. Reading Maeve Fly per your recommendation, im in chapter 20 and I know it wont be long until it goes sideways and Im so excited!
Agreed with your thoughts on Black Mouth and Come With Me vs Ghostwritten. I read the first two and loved them. I read the first two stories in Ghostwritten, then I put the book down and haven't had a huge desire to pick it back up and finish the last two stories, although I will eventually. I own a copy of The Night Parade, but haven't read it yet. Heard good things about it though. Stephen Graham Jones is an author that I really wished I could get into, but I don't think his writing style clicks with me. I've read three different books of his, including My Heart is a Chainsaw, and I wasn't a huge fan of any of them. Night of the Mannequins was probably the one I enjoyed the most though, it's a novella and it worked a lot better for me than his longer novels.
I just went to b&n and our horror section is also doubled! I read pretty girls earlier this year (don't usually read thriller) and it is fairly dark! I gave it 4 stars and want to read more slaughter. My heart is a chainsaw was my fave read from last year ♥
Your videos are very close to having me pick up book reading again as a hobby..... stop making it look so entertaining, I ain't got budget for it right now 😂
Great haul. I personally cant stand Stephen graham jones writing style but he is very popular so I hope you enjoy his book. Hes won a couple of bram stroker awards I believe.
I love sg jones but my favorite is "the only good indian" and "the babysitter" is another good one. The chainsaw series is not my cup of tea, but he could write a greeting card and i would read it.
Not that you need more video ideas, or more to read for that matter. BUT have you thought about doing a video on nonfiction books on writing by authors in the genre? To name just a few: On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Sai King, Consider This by Chuck Palahniuk or Writing in the Dark by Tim Waggoner. Of course this is just a scant selection from myriad choices at our disposal. I have read both King's and Palahniuk's books multiple times. As I find it is not just the way they delivery the information, but how eloquent they can be whilst providing the reader with REAL advice and knowledge.
The novellas may have just been a collection of some of Malfi's lesser ideas, Stephen King's short story collection can be similar... or it could possibly be the form didn't give him the room to do what he does well in a full length novel. I'd be interested in seeing what your thoughts would be on that book based on your opinions of the other two. 😃
Hey, I love your videos! would you ever consider doing a video as an introduction to extreme horror? I'm an avid horror reader but have always strayed from the extreme stuff just because I don't really know where to start, and I trust your judgement more than reddit or google lol. much love from [redacted state for internet safety]
I've thought about this, but most of the ones I've read recently have been extremely sexual. I'm going to keep reading more and try to find a variety of books to recommend.
I have a love/hate relationship with The Deep. Great horror great concepts but it's like the author had so many different ideas and just shoved them all in one book. Way too much going on. Gave it 2 stars but I stilled liked it well enough.
Talia is the first book 📕 of two in a series as I bought both books 📚 because of you and excuse me I am the same as your husband and what is wrong with gold fish 🐠
I loved my heart is a chainsaw!! However I don’t see the greatness of Riley sager…I read only one of their books “final girls” and it was so freaking boring
love the video! and pretty girls is one of my favourite books ever! it definitely gets very graphic for a thriller and made me cry once or twice😅 hope u like it! i would definitely recommend the grant county series by karin slaughter if you haven’t read it 🪱🛸🐈⬛

“My Heart Is A Chainsaw” is a great read. A little more cerebral than it is bloody, Jade’s streams of consciousness are genuinely fascinating.
One of my absolute favourites. Friggan love this series. Book two is just as good.

I can’t wait for book 3

I pick the Deep up but haven't started reading it yet! Looking forward to it
You talking about getting nightmares from Bobbing for Bodies, reminds me of the time i watched a funny movie before bed instead of a horror flick and i had such a scary nightmare. I never have nightmares lol.
Hell yeah! "The Deep" is a crazy wild ride. I loved it! Excited to see what you think.

I have also been obsessing about Riley Sager, just finished Survive the Night and loved it.
I love your channel so much :) You are delightful. I just started reading The Terror based on your recommendation. So far, I absolutely love it! Thanks so much. Happy Halloween, y'all!
Pretty girls won't disappoint
I have been heavy into cozy mysteries lately and that one has been on my list!! I also like to go between extreme horror and cozy adorable mysteries haha
I hope by the time Halloween gets here you make a video on some of the movies you've watched this month. 🎃
I live in New England and have been to Vermont plenty of times. It's beautiful!! 😁
I would say Pretty Girls is my all time favorite thriller, though I had to put it down once or twice in the more gruesome parts. I have read so many thrillers, that ones just.. idk different.

Haven't read "Chainsaw", but his book "The Only Good Indians" is FANTASTIC!
Another book haul?? Anda can’t help herself 😂
I’ve been a big king fan and read many of his books , I’ve been hearing a lot about cutter and wanting to expand my horizons lol
Hubby like “Anda, pls…” 😅
It's my Sunday fix. Hi, Creep! Nice show. Thank you.
I hope you love the Deep, I actually liked it better than the Troop. I'm just finishing up Black mouth, I love it!
Pretty Girls is such a good book!

Take advantage of your local library!! That's what they're there for : D
@@DrawtheCurtains my my are you twisting my very rubber arm right now
Great haul. I personally cant stand Stephen graham jones writing style but he is very popular so I hope you enjoy his book. Hes won a couple of bram stroker awards I believe.
Ambrosia - in Greek and Roman mythology the food of the Gods and in ye olde England a popular brand of rice pudding!
The deep is fucking insane. Nick cutter is a great writer
I ordered The Deep Just yesterday. The Troop ist sooooo good.
It is! I’m reading The Troop rn and it’s such a turn pager 💯👻
Pretty Girls is my all time fave thriller - Can't wait to hear what you think of it!!
Pretty girls 5 stars ⭐️ !!!
You are killing my wallet big time 😂😂😂
I love sg jones but my favorite is "the only good indian" and "the babysitter" is another good one. The chainsaw series is not my cup of tea, but he could write a greeting card and i would read it.

Incommunicado? You need to watch the John Wick movies. LOL.
You must have loved The Abyss 😃
If you were looking for a good thriller, you should really read A Simple Plan by Scott Smith. The same guy who wrote The Ruins.
I live in Vermont and yes it's a great place to visit😊
i love horror. i really enjoyed american psycho. I hate The Deep with every fiber of my being. Very excited to see what your take in it will be.

Please read some John Connelly, you will not be disappointed, your my fav RUclipsr, love you anda
My Heart is a Chainsaw is my next read after I’m done with The Reddening
I loved Black Mouth..A bit disappointed in The Troop, not as gory as I thought it would be,but I really enjoyed The Deep.
Thank you
I had fun reading My Heart Is A Chainsaw but others did not like it.
If you don’t like Pretty Girls I will cry
I always see you with a physical book or iPad, you don't like to read on your kindle ?
I did not like My Heart Is A Chainsaw, but I really enjoyed it’s sequel Don’t Fear The Reaper
Ugh, I didn’t like the deep. I LOVE all things ocean, deep sea, (ie sphere). But I didn’t like the deep at all. And I loved the troop.
Evidently, you've never seen John Wick
Night Parade was good but not my favorite. I thought Bone White was far superior. Might be because I’m not into pandemic books

I'm wearing the same t-shirt rn!
I was disappointed by My Heart is a Chainsaw.
All the novellas, are prob stuff he wrote 30 years ago, trying to cash in on them after he got popular...
My heart is a chainsaw is the WORST book I have ever read. Had to stop myself from throwing it in the fireplace... ☠️
Have you ever read Adrift by KR griffiths? Or anything by Griffiths?
I haven't but I just looked it up and it seems really interesting! Thank you for the suggestion!
