Percolated coffee and oatmeal for breakfast for me and grandpa starting at 8 years old.. Last time was a power outage and i was prepared. Two AM, Coleman lantern and coffee perking. I have 3 percolators to choose from now. They still work well. Saving the box would have save some soot in your kit. Thank you for the great review, Andy. Stay safe

Huh, Ohio here. Throw the guts of that thing away. Pour the coffee in with cold water. No filter. No perc. Just boil the coffee. 7 minutes boiling. Pour a little cold water in the top and it will knock the grounds down to the bottom. Pour and enjoy...American Cowboy Coffee.
If you really want good coffee from the perc, cut a filter down and put a small hole in the center. Then slide it into the bottom of where you put the coffee. Old school coffee was ground courser than they do today and some of the fine bits will get past the metal filter and give a bitter flavor in the back of your pallet

Who in the hell recommended 1min and a half😂, 7 min minimum 10 tops on any percolator worldwide. Pish is darker than that or is it just Americans that drink real coffee😮😂😂😂. No disrespect dude but there is no such thing as 1 1/2 minute perked coffee, the whole point of perking coffee as apposed to drip is to consistently brew coffee through the basket repeatedly for a full robust result. All electric percolators run a minimum of 7 minutes and some are adjustable up to 10 for truckstop style mud. It's the same for non electrical percolators. It's probably written on the box you cut up. Other than that nice video mate.
