    In Gardena, Inspector made me put 2 circuits for kitchen counter outlets for my ADU. NOT including fridge and hood vent. Maybe 1 more thing to add to checklist.

    Thank you for this information. As homeowners looking to build an ADU, knowing these details is important. When asking electricians for quotes, I would highly suggest you ask what kind of materials they are quoting you for. Per a electrician buddy of mine, there are different types of rated electrical wiring that are approved when building an ADU, some will last you about 10 years some 20+ years ; materials is what sets the price difference at times… so it’s good to ask sub contractors their Material cost and Labor cost when comparing prices.

      Erik thank you for the info. I agree the quality of the wire is critical since an ADU is. Long term investment.

    @Hektor Amazing Videos! How many square feet was this ADU which was $10,000 for electrical and how many feet did he have to run electrical underground for $3,500 and was there concrete to break also or just just grass?

    • @HektorCastillo
      @HektorCastillo  Год назад +1

      Yes there was electrical underground. From the meter to the ADU

    great video Hektor. i have a question. since the garage in CA is 4inch concrete with no rebar , do you have to rebar the whole garage or under the garage door wall? thanks

    how much did you pay for finish electric? I just got a quote for 20k but it's with finish electric on a 324 sq ft adu.

      It was $13,500 for rough and finish. Go to my site and book an appointment with Sam for an estimate. I'm working on a video to save homeowners up to 5K on the electrician for an ADU ✌️

    I've been following your video. And if I go through all the services you listed it will almost add up to a minimum $100k to build an adu. How would I go about to get it as low as you did your adu. It was around $50k.

      @HektorCastillo  2 года назад +3

      Tanik I build my ADU prior to the pandemic 😷 materials and labor where affordable back then. The location of my ADU is in the front of the property and the cost to bring utilities was extremely low. I also save between $10,000 - $15,000 in labor because I did a lot of the labor myself, I installed windows, the front door, insulation, the resilient channel, some framing, the line set for the Minisplit and some painting. Book an appointment with Alfonso from my site his prices to build an ADU in LA begin at $80,000

      @@HektorCastilloman I guess material and labor is that much higher after the pandemic. Your guy can build an adu starting at 80k, would that price drop if I were to do some things myself also?

    Basically this video can be ignored as it missed details e.g AFCI/GFCI. Remained content are not very correct.

    • @HektorCastillo
      @HektorCastillo  6 месяцев назад +1

      GFCI outlets are installed at the finish. This video covers rough construction and this project passed the city inspection right away with no corrections.

      If I didn't have the site my phone will blow up with Can I have plumber, framer, electricians number. This one video took months of time and multiple trips to the project. Its a big surprise you think I'm selfish when I'm just trying to provide free information on how to pass the electrical inspection.
