It was our first time seeing a launch in person! It was even more special because we got to spend it with our friends, Rich & Cindy. LOL, yes I film sometimes. As you can see, I'm not very good at it!!! Hahaha! Actually, a lot of footage you see in our videos from inside the truck, traveling, etc. is usually me recording. I did not buy that hat ( I already have toooo many) But, thank you for your kind words. :) It meant a lot to be able to do something "familiar" being so far away from home and all our loved ones. It was a great community! Yes, it was so great some of our friends came to hang out and we met new ones too while we were there. The rocket viewing was our first one we've seen in person! The food was delicious, and we went there because someone from our home town told us his niece worked at this restaurant in Melbourne! That was the picture of us with her!! We had our r v flood one time. Danny got up in the middle of the night and when the cats wanted a drink of water he turned the faucet on. Then he went back to bed. Lol. You can guess the rest. 😁 Lynn and Danny
Great to witness a Space X Launch...not so great to flood your rig. Its easy to get distracted at times...good thing is was just water not black water.

Unlucky with the flood, accidents happen. At least you know how to prevent long term damage to your airstream. I imagine the furniture is made with the usual mdf which just loves to get wet. Another positive, at least you are also in one of the warmer states to help with the drying process too.
Fortunately, Airstream builds the cabinets with Italian 7-ply plywood. Pretty difficult to water damage that stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means the world to us. - Jim

Sarah and I have been the best of friends for almost 28 years now, I know most of your family and have met your mom many times. I am a nurse and took care of Sam when he became sick I was with him every day. Sarah’s mom and dad were like my own parent’s and Sarah and I are more like sisters than friends haha, although I’m a lot older than Sarah so sometimes I act like a mom. I travel quite a bit and have been to every National park west of the Mississippi and many to the east as well. I’m not sure how much traveling you’ve done prior to this but there are some real hidden gems. If you’ve never been to Yosemite, the Tetons, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore those are the absolute musts. Kings Canyon in Sequoia National Park is very beautiful as well. Mesa Verde in Colorado is just very interesting. Everyone goes to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, however if you get the chance I highly recommend going to the North Rim as well, It is well forested and just beautiful and it’s just a short days drive to both Zion and Bryce too, Well Happy Trails to you both I’m so very envious. It’s always been my dream to do what the two if you are doing and since I’ll be 68 this coming Sunday I’m hoping to start traveling by next summer before I’ll to old to enjoy it lol. I promised my daughter I’d stay and help with the new babies for a year, that was last May and I haven’t been back to Michigan since. I’m flying home in the 18th first a short visit then returning to Oregon to help. My kids live in a small town at the base of Mount Hood so at least the scenery here is breathtaking. Safe travels and God Bless. Ooh Ii hope you have the National Park pass. Ivan had mine for many years they use to call it a Golden Eagle Passport I’m not sure what they call it now but it gets you into all the national parks free and you only have to pay half the camping fees.

Hopefully, your particleboard built cabinets and doors don't explode from absorbing too much water.
