You missed a step on the ss one. The back opens and you flip out an extension for the air intake (at least I think that's what those are. That's what they are on the earth mode seekers)
One of my friends had the old 2012 mold. The knee joint never gave us any issues, and I was never aware of it until now either. It's good to know that though
Yeah I wasn't gonna get the new Voyager, already owning the Takara deluxe but this new figure really surprised me, I thin it's so much better than the old figure and I like it a lot more than I ever expected to. I know it's based on WFC but I wish he came with the sword he had in FoC.
@@Heisenburger42008 that depends, for a hovering starscream it sure is accurate, but for the "plane" mode (which is the transformation seen) it isn't accurate at all. The wings should be bigger in general. the deluxe is more accurate.
@@wintdah7778 It's not really the case of people forgetting how he looks like, it's about the feel of the figure, owning this guy for 2 months now feels good! The plastic, the transformation and the articulation feels solid, the older GE starscream deluxe does take the cake in proportion, but in other categories, it falls off Although this is a good showcase how lazy Hasbro can be, their GE sub line feels like no one actually cared about this line at all, with how cheap and weird the engineering are (Megatron, starscream, and bumblebee) In my opinion, GE starscream is good but the designers and Hasbro should've at least given more thoughts about it
@@YakouHikoichiYeah I agree on the Hasbro's half-assed approach while making this line. I remember the excitement when it was announced, everyone thought Hasbro forgot about those beautiful WFC designs. The best one that came out is obliviously Optimus, but even he has some really baffling shortcomings
The only acceptable use of the wfc gun pegs is vehicle mounting and giving to other non wfc toys. Wfc/foc was my childhood and the arm guns were one of my favorite parts, I hate seeing so many people put the guns in the figures hands. It's like putting the seekers null rays, or megatrons fusion cannon, in the hand. That's not where it goes!
It might not be game accurate but I like the option. If I can use all the accessories without having to remove the arm I'll take it. And I personally prefer the look of handheld guns as opposed to the arm integrated ones. It also helps playability because of those options.
no offense but you forgot to flip out the jet mode intakes on the newer figure, the back panel opens up and there are a separate set of intakes in which you flip out to complete the jet mode.
Hey J4 I had a chance to get all three Transformers Fall Of Cybertron seekers. But I didn’t get them at the toy show because my priority was the Transformers MP’s I wanted
For the gamer edition, would have been nice if they scrapped the melee weapon (because not everyone needed) but rather focusing on the transformation engineering particularly on the expandable wing for the jet mode. The storage for the melee weapon could add more insult than injury for the jet mode.
Im not waiting for studio series to make them all, im going to purchase the older seekers. I've always wanted a complete trio of them, so im going with the old foc versions. I just have skywarp, im looking to get thundercracker, and starscream soon!
@@Galvatron_Studios would you say thirty to forty dollars is worth it? I feel like it is, because at retail they are twenty but, now they're older figures.

Never knew about the knee problem. Which is crazy to me because I’ve owned each version of this mold like 5 times over
i've never had a problem with it either lol

wow those wings on the new one are TINY
its surprisingly accurate.

I’m sorry I love the old one but the new is just way better imo
I think there's a case here of people forgetting how he actually looked in the game and taking for granted that the old deluxe was just right.

I have the null ray attached at the arm for the new one to have the gun under cockpit look

Great comparison video, man! 😊🎉 Both are must-haves for folks who display their collections separately according to scale.

I want the new one even more since the paint actually looks good on camera compared to the stock images. (Atleast for GameStop/Amazon stock photos)
I have all three of the original seekers.
*whispers* they’re much prettier.

@ Skywarp was the only one I had for years and I found good prices on the other two on eBay last year

@@Galvatron_Studios okay then! Thanks for the help, by the way!
good vid. tranform cool.
A tad bit early
I just dont care for the new one. the old one is a little small otherwise Ive had no issue.
Different mold
...yeah? That's the point.

I’m sorry. I just can’t overlook how ugly the cockpit is. Also, the figure is too beefy, and too tall when compared to the other figures in the line.
fr it sticks out so much
Gotta be honest, I find the old figure to be absolutely overrated.
It was a problem with Megatron as well but I hate that the new one has to hold his mace by the very end of the handle.
