PSG 0 and 1 by themselves is almost dreamy. I like the slight attack on em.
I love it... it gives me chills. Part of it's the wave structure, it's a square wave... therefore more harmonic.

PSG 1 is slightly out of tune in order to have a harmonic effect with PSG 0 and holy shit it’s really awesome

Just a couple years ago, after having always failed in our childhoods, me and my brother got all the emeralds in this game in a co-op sonic and tails run. It only took about 25 years.

But yeah, when Tails is a bot, he often becomes annoying.
@@clonefighter1996 when there was a 2nd player we only ever played split screen 2 player, and even then we avoided the special stage lol

2:06 is what gives the song the _"oomph"_ that it makes it so damn addictive to listen to. Without that, the song loses its power. It's like the meat and potatoes of it.

I remember the first ad I saw for this game around the time it was first released. It had a cut of this song in it, and it was quite catchy. It was the first video game I ever bought. 2:06 brings back this memory.

This is like updating my brain's files on this music that's been in my head since 1993. it highlights the parts I unintentionally ignored.
Yes, this song gets what the Half Pipes are about and exaggerates the speed with a high paced and fun theme that has a KILLER bass line to go with. Sounds way better than Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 1's special stage themes (although they fit what they're going for, just in general) This is a song I listen to in my free time and loving seeing what makes it up, Thanks. Also Metropolis Zone Oscilloscope Deconstruction pretty please?

Really appreciate this. I always felt this song was a real testament to the talent of the composer. You'd think this song would be a discordant mess listening to the individual pieces, but it all comes together to make a really unique piece.

Amazing to think what they were able to accomplish with only nine audio channels, even more so with the four channels offered by 8-bit machines.
One of the PSG channels were perished(sorta) for a weird reason.

Dang after seeing so many C64 music videos it’s rly cool to see a very precise one like this, cuz the C64 music chip is kinda sloppy and quirky sometimes. And the sounds are dope!!

Why is everyone talking about 2:06 when the best thing is when all of them are put together!
It took me a collective 20+ tries to beat all 7 stages in Origins (Thank you coin system). Did no one think the stages took too much to learn considering how you were originally meant to tackle and beat them? Some of the stages have very unfair traps and i always get flustered in figuring out where im supposed to be, im fretting over losing control of Sonic and im anxious of surprise traps. If it wasn't for the coin system, i would've never been able to get the hang of the half pipe. The music was almost teasing me.
As a child I had to memorise the patterns of rings and badniks. It took a while bc you had to collect 50 rings and a fresh pole to open up a special stage for each attempt. Even now when playing origins some of those memories and muscle memories came back to me.

3:24 what if PSG 0 & 1 were louder without Channel 1? It’d be 8 bit and 16 bit mixed together.
While this song still gives me a headache & I still think it's the worst track in this game's OST, this video has made me respect the song more & the effort that was put into it, especially when it comes to PSG 0 and PSG 1, they sound really nice & I never noticed them before since Channel 1 drowns them out. Thanks for making all of these videos, I always enjoy watching/listening to them & the really make you appreciate the composer(s)' work. I hope that you could look into doing these types of videos for the handheld Sonic games after Sonic Adventure like the GBA & DS games or maybe some other series like Donkey Kong Country, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, and so on. This would of course be after you finish up making videos for Sonic CD (JP/EU and/or US OSTs), Knuckle's Chaotix, and 3D Blast (Genesis and/or Saturn OSTs), that is if you want to continue doing these types of videos for those games.
