Sidewalk prophets, this song has me bawling my eyes out in thanksgiving to God!! I could picture the day I literally shook my fist at the sky, and then turned to my idol (a fictional character named Maximum Ride) for escape. I believed in God, and hated Him. Yet, a year and a half after I literally shook my fist at God, I finally heard Him called my name when I felt the deepest pain I've ever felt. This song took me back to those days, but this time, it was like God was showing me that He was right beside me through it all. He stood next to me (not up in the sky) as I shook my fist at Him. He was beside me, reaching for me, as I wept moments before surrendering my life to Him. He was with me every time my family turned against me. He was with me when I went into the foster home. He was with me even when I hated Him. I knew He was with me since I got saved, but to think He was with me even when I hated Him 😭😭😭 Yet now I know He was. He revealed it to me through this song. Thank you so much!!!

Wow! Your testimony is so very powerful! My family has been victimized by parental alienation. I am the targeted parent and my kids have been alienated against me. So many, even Christians, have told me to just give up on them. This is a reminder to keep showing unconditional love to my kids... no matter how they "shake their fists" at me. We the parent are the God- representative to our kids! Thank you for sharing!

My 2 year old nephew was diagnosed with cancer the day this song came out. I was talking with my boss about working the next day. I felt like the world just came crashing down. I felt like I would have been no use the next day and that I really just needed to take a day and step away from everything just to help myself try to understand or put into perspective this whole situation. As I was talking to my boss, I received a text message that said ‘Hey this is sidewalk prophets. We just released a new music video’ with a link to this video in the message. As soon as I was done talking with my boss, I clicked the link and I couldn’t help but cry. God has already been working. This video proved that, not that God needs to validate Himself, but sometimes we don’t realize how much He is there. I know I haven’t for a while. It’s definitely a wake up call.

Found this song a week ago while I was crying about missing my dad 2 months ago. I lost my best friend that day. Great song to remind us , God is always with us.
Someone recently brought up my past and I have been beating myself up about it since. Then, the Holy Spirit directed me to this song..which has always been a favorite of mine. I have not actually sat down to listen to the lyrics, and I did wow talk about a revelation. He took me back to the night I finally left my sinful life...the exact spot..the bedroom, the mirror.. the pain I was in emotionally, me on my knees begging God to intervene in my life. And now I'm bawling over His love..how his love fixed someone as broken as me....and I didn't see then but I believe it now. Our God is soo good...
I felt so much this same way when my daughter (7 yrs old) died. I could not see it then. Praise God that I can see it now. You've (Jesus) always been there -Love (Jesus) was always there

Thank you for this song, I went through the longest valley when my dad was murdered then few years later my husband died suddenly, I thought God had forgotten me, or maybe I was not worth His love. The world called my name in this broken time. God didn’t give up on me He never forgot me He patiently waited for me to find my way back to Him. Does the past tragedy’s still hurt, yes, but I learned to chase after Him and not this world and in the times when it hurts He holds me tight He send me little reminders He’s there like this song ❤️

God bless you. I understand. My Mom's body was found floating in the Yellowstone River under suspicious circumstances. Someone had to have taken her there. Then, I lost my husband of 33 years to cancer from Agent Orange. My daughter turned to drugs. I'm raising my 2 grandchildren. The prodigal has returned with a new baby. She is potentially facing 8 years in prison for taking drugs. She was never a dealer, violent, or stole anything from anyone. She has repented and given her life to God. I pray the judge has mercy even though we've been told he will not. He never gives anyone a second chance. I know God is in control.

I have never felt that God was far from me. I have felt that I was far from God but His mercies that never end and renew every morning are great along with His faithfulness. I heard this for the first time today and wrote down the name of it. I am now battling Cancer and feel like I don;t have any other medical avenues to cross. God be with all of us, all of the time!

This song touched me in a way that a song hasn’t in a very long time. I went through a very hard time in my life for a long time I was hurt angry didn’t know if I would make it through. The first time I heard this song it hit me like a truck I couldn’t see it then but I believe it now. The Lord never left me he was always there even when at times it seemed like he wasn’t. Whatever you’re going through sometimes you may feel completely hopeless but don’t give up he said I will never leave you nor forsake you yea I’ll go with you all the way even until the end of the world. I went through a bad time for over 7 years but he brought me out and I praise his name.
I’m not sure how I just came upon this song a few days ago. For some reason I cannot stop listening to it. The words are speaking to me and I can feel God revealing Himself through it. He’s telling me “I’m right here.” There have been plenty of times in my life where I doubted God and got angry at Him asking “God why are you doing this to me?” But now I see it’s all part of a great plan and God is by my side. I only recently found this song and I can't tell you how often I find myself replaying it in my mind. Growing up in a Christian home I've known and believed that God had everything already planned out for my life and would always be there. The last almost 10 years ago tho I've kind of forgotten that. My mom was always the strongest person I knew and there was nothing that if she wanted to do it, she did. Then Alzheimer's attacked her and I saw that strong & wonderful woman reduced to a scared of her own shadow, but even up to about the last 6 months - she luckily only had 2 years stolen of her life from it - but going to church, praying (something that short of the last couple months she still did daily, praying for my siblings & I in particular) and reading her Bible which I took over for her towards the end since reading seemed to be another thing that was stolen from her. I struggled going back to church - the last 2 or 3 months before mom died she was home bound and I was barely able to be out of her sight since I was the only one of us kids she knew with the exception of a few times - but after she was gone it was hard but I got over it fairly quick knowing that I would never want her back with me knowing she would have her life stolen from her the way it was. I was doing good. Until 3 years ago that is. My sister & I are the only girls of 7 kids, she's the oldest and I'm the youngest, but I was her 11th birthday present as we shared a birthday. Ruth & I really had this great bond that was broken for a while but we made it back together. In September 2018 she fell and broke her femur in 3 places and had to have surgery to repair it. One possible complication for the surgery was the chance of developing a pulmonary embolism which she did. Things were going well with her recovery even with some outside problems that could have be avoided had people cooperated but on October 18, 2018 I got a call a little before 8 AM that they were doing CPR on her and I needed to get to the hospital. I kind of knew what had happened when I was taken to the family room to wait for the doctor since it was an ER that I had worked in but the doctor did come in shortly after my family and Pastor got there and told me she was gone. I couldn't accept it and honestly still have some problems with it. But now I was left behind with her son, someone I wouldn't have let go to anyone else no matter what, but now our world was flipped upside down. I was so mad at God for taking her away and I've only been to church one time since then and even that day I had to leave early. I couldn't go in and praise God when He took her away. After being in grief counseling and PTSD counseling for a while I had gotten to the place where I felt I could go back and covid hit. I have my 91 year old dad now as well as my nephew - who's multiple handicapped - and even with all the precautions we still have at least 1 new covid case every week and with dad & my nephew being on the high risk side and having leukemia myself, we've been just doing the live stream of our services. Every time I think about my sister not being with us tho I still get so mad at God and it's keeping my mind in a place where I don't know why God seems so out of reach for me. Having this song tho and hearing it in kind of a loop on my mind is helping me to remember that he is there, that I was the one that moved. He's there and always has been, I just need to step back into His arms. Thank you so much for this song. I'm still struggling with things but I get so much comfort from this song and saying thank you just doesn't seem to cover how grateful I am to you for it. But I do thank you

This song touches me deep, it helped me explain in words a tragedy that happened to me several years ago. I was never able to describe the feelings that I felt when my daughter passed away. But from the first line of this song I started crying and felt a weight come off of me. That day I shook my fist at God and was so angry for so long thinking God didn’t care. Because of my in ability to understand what I didn’t understand. Thank you for allowing God to use you and your talents!
Thanks for the reminder that faith is so often found in the pain and that it's during the hardest times that we need it the most. Friend, if you are reading this and you lost someone, and wonder why God didn't heal your family or loved one and they passed which is different to the outcome for this song. You say "Sapphira's Mama, why didn't Jesus heal them?" Let me ask you something? Maybe God did heal them, by bringing them home. If they lived here on earth, they may have suffered more. We don't have treatments for every disease or injury. We have come very far since the beginning of the medical revolution, but we can only do so much. Do you think the doctors do things alone? No, God helps them by giving them gifts and talents that help us today. Medication has come from God and I believe He does want us to use them. Sure we are meant to come to him first but then allow Him to guide us where we need to go. Just know that God loves you and that your loved one has been healed and pray that Jesu has come to them and that they accepted Christ
