At sdf1 you have either boxes or totes on uboats and as the water spider you have to stage all the uboats, run the empty ones to the dock, in certain mods you have to run up and down stairs, it’s literally the most physically demanding job at my fc. This to me looks fun
Where I work boxes of all sizes and weights come speeding down a conveyer belt and you have to scan one at a time and then make a neat pallet and saran wrap as it gets taller. The water spiders at my location finish off the wrap when the pallet is approximately 7 feet, close out and move the full pallet, replace with an empty pallet, open the empty pallet (to make it scanable) and we start all over. Each belt has about 4-8 pallets that are coded to match the codes on the boxes.
@@darealyungan5257 yea i mostly do waterspider, but I also know how to stow, shipping dock, merchandise return, and gift wrap, that’s inbound shipping dock he talking bout
Don't give me any more of those damn Frito snack boxes and energy drink cases!! Lol...trials of finding empty bottom shelves on 18.5 pod!!! Thank you for your hard work!!
Really great video! I'm a down stacker / Stower also. Few differences to here in the UK: - Only 1 down stacker =( - All our containers / totes are black not yellow - We down stack on to a trolly with wheels and a cart runner takes it to a stower station - Only down stack 12 totes cause that's how many a trolly can hold - If we're using a pump truck we have to wear safety shoes and a high vis vest - Not allowed to have ear phones or air pods on inside the building. Phones ok for now, cause covid. - Everyone has to wear masks cause the way things are - Pallets we use aren't blue or plastic. Use the wooden kind (splinters everyehere! also heavy when they're wet!) and they can take only 16 totes I think, not the massive amount you have And you're right it's a work out! I use to go to the gym regularly but cut that right down after I started down stacking. Just too tired to do that or anything else!
I started Thursday and the next day was pay day and I aint get nothing till the next Thursday only like 500$ and sum for the orientation and training and sum work
Is this the run off? Stuff that loops around too many times with out getting a station, the ware house in in has stations right next to it so you don't have to put them on blue bottoms unless work slows down
Water spider work sucks. My app says i walk 20 miles. Lifting and pulling all day. Meanwhile the stowers get paid same amount, do way less work and get to stand in front of a personal fan. I hate being a waterspider.
Yes, but stowing is boring asf You stand and put items in the pod continuously for 10 hours FUCK. And you see time is running like a turtle. At least you get to move and have a distraction as a water spider.
