For years now, in my mega-crossover series, I've had the idea of Keyblade-wielders reversing the "Keyblade teleports to you" aspect of a Keyblade's power in order to 'port themselves to their thrown Keyblade. I was so surprised and SO happy when, with Kairi, they actually made the ability canon!
Y'know, when I was a teen, I wrote a fanfic with my own Org. XIII. One of them wielded a flag since I loved that from marching band. Imagine my surprise at Wheel of Fate's final transformation!
That’s the one technique that immediately made me go from thinking "Kairi is kind of useless" to "holy shit Kairi is probably the most efficient and smartest keyblade wielder."
I love how some of the key blades transform to a different weapon I always like that when a weapon can transform into another weapon, and the flashy attacks are also spectacular to watch.
Formchanges are such an awesome addition. I really like Hunny Blasters and Frying Pan. Oh, and I’m glad we finally got to play as Kairi! She has all forms of magic, a barrier, a teleport, AND an awesome Shotlock!
Unpopular Opinion: I prefer KH3 keyblades over KH1 and 2. While there are less keyblades, they all have amazing animations and effects that make them feel unique. Even keyblades like Classic Tone were so cool to look at, even if it was a rehash. It's better than just a keyblade with different mp/damage that will later on just get replaced with the exact same thing but with better stats.
Tbh if u think about it kh 2 only has like 6 different forms with a different fighting style, but kh3 has a lot more diverse combat and unique design with more fighting style then kh 2 did(like 10 or so). This is why you literally can’t trust or believe any shit talkers of anything anymore. Ooohhohoh that's a ballsy statement and I salute you for it, as for me there are very few keyblades I actually hate no matter what game I'm playing. Although I'm going to make my own ballsy stament right now and say that I think Decisive Pumpkin is kind of overrated. I don't like how that keyblade looks and there are plenty that outclass it stat wise after you get it.
Love Sora’s oblivion and oathkeeper combat style you can choose to do finishers with magic attack or speed around with traditional melee combat. This game gives you so many options of playstyle to your creation that people can’t understand. Its literally rechain of memories all over again.
Honestly I love these weapons, but I miss when Keyblades used to change your fighting style in base form. 358/2 Days was a prime example, with things like Leviathan allowing you to excel in aerial combat and similar attributes like that. Re:Coded also had something similar, with Three Wishes being fast but weak, and Olympia being slow but powerful. Don't get me wrong, I *love* Formchanges. I'm addicted to the different forms Sora has and the different attributes every Key gets in its next form. But until that Formchange activates, I don't feel any difference aside from damage output.
358 is a prime example because it’s the ONLY example my dude. Keyblades usually have different abilities but the fighting styles are generally the same, save for some being longer or shorter in reach or being magic based.
You know, I really think it would be better if each keyblade had only one form change except the ones where the second form is just the finisher, and in exchange we had got no repeat forms. Just space them out better.
You only showed the Counter Shield's single-guard charge attack. There's a second, more powerful version if you guard two attacks. The Frying Pan also has the same abilities. Also, the Oathkeeper and Oblivion aren't Re Mind DLC, but part of a free update that came at the same time.
If Sora is revealed to be the last dlc character in Smash I think the KH3 keyblade forms they should focus on implementing in his moveset should be, Kingdom Key, Oathkeeper/Oblivion, Ultima, & Rageform. I'd like to imagine Sora having a building transformation mechanic. He starts Kingdom Key, when he builds some kinda bar he goes Oathkeeper, & then when he builds it further he goes Ultima. The forms are permanent but if Sora dies he has to start over from Kingdom Key. & Ragemode can be an unexpected option that appears randomly (which Sora can choose to transform into or not, the form isn't forced on him) & has a higher chance of appearing the higher your percent is. Ragemode would be weaker than Ultima but slighly stronger than Oathkeeper/Oblivion, & can be activated from either Kingdom Key or Oathkeeper/Oblivion forms, so it could be a desperation form for if your in a pinch but don't have enough gauge to go Oathkeeper/Oblivion or Ultima yet. The downside would be that once you go Ragemode your locked out of any other transformation until you die. Also if you are in Ultima mode, Rageform will never appear as an option. You would only build gauge by doing damage so this mechanic would be snowball dependent. Basically Kingdom Key makes Sora sub par, Oathkeeper/Oblivion makes him average, Ragemode makes him slightly above average, Ultima makes Sora oppressive & well above average. The goal for the opponent would basically be to try to never let Sora get Ultima or your probably screwed, lol.
@@zaknafein254 I agree with you honestly. As much as i loved my idea, after i saw current Sora's moveset i immediately felt that was the perfect way to do his moveset. I now completely main Sora & i have never been happier.
so you don't get any keyblades or useful items/abilities from defeating super hard bosses like yozora? I miss the time where defeating Sephiroth would give you one of the best keyblades in the game...
… what’s the point? If you’re capable of beating the HARDEST boss in the game, any upgrade it provides will ultimately NOT be an upgrade as nothing will challenge you harder than that boss did.
@@TheSCPStudio if you not so busy grinding over a week to be a level 99 and grinding items for ultima weapons. you would know how rewarding it is to get a weapon from hidden and extra optional bosses. hell getting top weapons real fast doesn't really feel that great. and if you are a speed runner and want ultima weapon right away. final fantasy 9 is your slash of cake for that.
Okay, one Yozora is one of the secret bosses that’s supposed to give hints to the next storyline, Unknown in KH1 who was revealed to be Xemnas in KH2 didn’t give you a Keyblade or anything at all, Lingering Will in KH2 who was revealed to be Terra in BBS didn’t give you a Keyblade either, it gave you a Winner’s Proof Crown. The only secret boss that does this was Mysterious Figure who’s revealed to be Young Xehanort in DDD, but that’s it, most of these type of secret bosses didn’t give you a Keyblade but gave you hints of the next storyline that comes later.
I wish for (if it’s story relevant) next game that there’s some kind of tag team type thing? With party members being playable able to swap control mid-combat with their own moves, spells, and shotlocks(maybe could even re-introduce command deck but being different and changeable between members?)
I have this feeling that the Nano Arms wasn’t supposed to be a copy weapon of the other Keyblades. I also Nano Arms is not very creative. I think so because while it makes sense that nanobots can be used to copy the other Formchanges, it wasn’t really what they were used for in the movie. I think it’s uncreative for that reason because it’s basically exactly how they were used in the movie. It could be argued that the other Keyblade transformations don’t tie into their movies too, like how the Hyper Hammer doesn’t tie into Toy Story and the shield doesn’t tie into Hercules. But some do, like the Blizzard Claws. So for that reason, it is a little bit in creative, yet at the same time, I do like the concept lol. I also argue that I don’t think Nano Arms was going to originally be a copy weapon because the rocket punch doesn’t copy any Formchange and instead is very evocative of Baymax’s rocket punch. I think Nano arms should have been a form that copies all of the Big Hero 6. That way it isn’t too different from the Nano arms we did get from the game, because gogo’s skating is like Blizzard Blades and the Nano arms already copies Baymax’s rocket punch.
