I’ve loved F1 since I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. The sheer speed is mind boggling. I also enjoy WEC and IMSA. I’m taking my daughters to the Lone Star LeMans at COTA later this month. (Can’t afford F1 tickets.) they love watching racing with me, but this’ll be their first race ever and I can’t wait for it! Then there’s rallying which, in my opinion, is the ultimate test of man and machine. They’re not the fastest race cars, but no other vehicles can do quite what they do, much less do it as rapidly. Drivers, with their co-driver’s aid, negotiate everything: asphalt/tarmac, concrete, dirt, mud, gravel, snow, jumps and even cattle guards. As if all that wasn’t enough, there’s often a sheer cliff on one side. (Both sides in the Azores.) It’s truly incredible how quick the cars are considering they have to haul the drivers’ huge balls through every stage. I love F1 & Sports car racing- always have. Rallying is just different.

On a different point, is it not ludicrous that someone who qualifies on pole for the race, like Max did in Belgium this year, isn't in the stats as the official pole sitter? Just because he took an engine or other penalties. The pole should be for the driver who did the fastest lap during qualifying, Q3, right? What happens after that, should not influence who gets the official pole position in my opinion. If they keep their geriatric drivers they're just kicking the can down the road on the decision of signing and keeping younger drivers for the long term.
I think any MOTORSPORT fan would enjoy Rally, also F1 people would enjoy rally. That being said, Ive been to a few rallys and unlike F1, rally is a sport you truely need to experience in real life. Where F1 as a on track supporter isnt that neccesarry, because often you can see the race better on TV than live in front of your eyes. Rally is a whole other story, getting the clouds of dirt weeped in your eyes when a car passes you with 160kmh on a small little dirt road, you are only a few meters away from the action.
Maybe you can take the gentle hint from Peter to turn down becoming your gimmicks to silly repetitions of extended names of pilots & Oh THE HUMANITY Please change your charisma
When you have an unlimited budget (rumoured to spend $100 million more a year than anyone else) and an engine advantage that was protected by the FIA for close to a decade you can do a lot, when the rules aren’t in your favour the real Toto showed himself.
What is this pod turning into???? A 💩 on Toto pod? People underestimate Toto, they disrespect him because he is the “money man/numbers man” those are insecurities and envy speaking. He doesn’t have to have these invisible criteria to be a team principal, he just needs to have a a small group around him he can consult with! So Horner and the drinks team, Ferrari, McLaren are the ones who would be deemed to have these qualities but they mess up bad! Look what’s happening to the drinks team now, Ferrari haven’t had a title in 17yrs, McLaren hasn’t had a title in 16yrs???. So Toto is not doing bad is he in cultivating a winning team. Put some respect on that man’s name!!!!! He has been disrespected since day dot 🙄. Also the way you hold onto Peter’s opinions is wild, he is not end all be all. That one is full of options just like us. George Russell is not the driver you think he is. He is alright, every now and again he does something great but that’s it. He needs to tighten up, he doesn’t have leadership qualities, he has second driver vibes. So Toto is looking for a lead driver and that’s not George, if you can be honest about it. If Toto keeps Antonelli and George watch the kid outshine George, that boy looks like he has his head screwed on. It’s not something many can see yet but some of us have a sixth sense so to speak, the same Toto has and why he feels strongly about! I prayed he didn’t let people’s noise deter him. Also Mercedes don’t need Adrian Newey 😂 😂 be for real. They got it wrong for 2 years yes, they have figured it out and sorting themselves out without Adrian, McLaren doesn’t have Adrian. Mercedes need a a lead driver!
Sprint races serve a purpose, they bring new viewers to f1 who get a taste of f1. Its usually frenetic and the single hour of practice to set up the car puts pressure on the teams to get it right. I’m old skool, Sprint spices things up. They aren’t the Grand Prix but they are a challenge and produce a different excitement, than the normal race weekend, when after FP1 you want the Qualifying now, and have to wait till Saturday night, Sunday morning for me and the Australian f1 community, many of whom watch your channel. I wouldn’t mind going to Albert Park and seeing a Sprint weekend cause I’ve done 19 of the same if not very similar. A couple of tweaks of Qualifying format along with the regular Rules and Regulations changes every few years. Cars sound is not as good as they could, should and used to be. Why wait till 2030 to bring back the 100% ICU PU and save the planet from the batteries which like the tyres can’t be destroyed for environmental protection, and have to be recycled. They have given hybrid technology to the World so now let’s be sustainable by using 100% sustainable technologies. And a sweet sounding V10, V8 will probably do the job these days, with today’s technology. Smaller, lighter and more nimble, now bulletproof reliability, not always the case in the past. I can’t imagine manual ever coming back, they would be fractionally slower, more fun to watch though. Call me old skool. But I’m not stuck in my ways, change is good, natural progression, what are we allowed to see. I want the timing of 0.0001sec. Just give it to us ffs FIAsco.

Your content should stand on merit - not on silly straplines.
Ask Peter Windsor if he thinks that Toto Wolff lacks an understanding of F1 - I think you know what the answer will be.
Excuse me sir, I don't think you've met my friend Grice's razor, though I appreciate the feedback and your watching so quickly! 🍻
Oh and FYI the quote is "That to me, shows Toto Wolff's lack of understanding of Formula 1". You sir, are nitpicking.
he said it twice regarding Russell not having enough fuel, and even added that it was "pathetic management"
1:01:12 Everyone calm down and listen to the whole video before flying off the handle 😂
@@Cameron-Cc Nope. For someone who has done nothing in F1 except report his opinions of others to others, to accuse someone who has run a top F1 team for 10 years of 'lack of understanding of F1' is just laughable. Walk the walk - when you've run an F1 team, maybe you'll be qualified to criticise others.
Possibly Peter can be a little over dismissive of others and their abilities/expertise but he certainly is still the GOAT
I completely agree with Peter on the sprint races, I don't like them either. If they introduce reverse grids, I will stop watching Formula one ridiculous idea.
We only see like 40% of F1 i like to see and hear more.
Working on the assumption that Verstappen might be going to Mercedes, should Red Bull really be holding onto 'older' short term drivers like Checo & Daniel rather than that they should be fostering their younger talent going forward. If they keep their geriatric drivers they're just kicking the can down the road on the decision of signing and keeping younger drivers for the long term.
Peter sure does talk a lot of crap these days for some reason.
I think Peter is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the GOATIEST GOAT into 😂😂
Might be time to shorten it…😅
What is a half electric half gas engine?
What part is electric? 1:00:21
Peter has been having some really weird takes as of late 😅
I think any MOTORSPORT fan would enjoy Rally, also F1 people would enjoy rally.
That being said, Ive been to a few rallys and unlike F1, rally is a sport you truely need to experience in real life.
Where F1 as a on track supporter isnt that neccesarry, because often you can see the race better on TV than live in front of your eyes.
Rally is a whole other story, getting the clouds of dirt weeped in your eyes when a car passes you with 160kmh on a small little dirt road, you are only a few meters away from the action.
3 days of rallying is exhausting. Can't imagine watching all of that.
I like f1, rally, formula drift, and WEC 😊
Maybe you can take the gentle hint from Peter to turn down becoming your gimmicks to silly repetitions of extended names of pilots & Oh THE HUMANITY Please change your charisma
I like Cher😂 Edifying as always, thanks Peter/Cam
Also time stamps would be great for your videos!
Caption is crazy 😂😂 I'm here for it. Love a bit of shithousery
Very surprised by Peter’s dissing of Aston Martin. Rather elitist.
Not ‘impudence’ Peter, I think you meant ‘impunity’.
He's alright is Toto, but not impervious to criticism as you make out imho
Blah blah blah. Its been a few races since George has had a win or pole. So all the clowns are out preaching about how mid he is again 😂.
How many championships did Toto win Peter??
“It’s the car, not the drivers.” - true for Mercedes
Cam: Oufhhh!
George has been used as the old third chassis
Maaaaaaaate! Great analogy sir
Oh the humanity! - that’s an inflammatory headline 😬 how can you not “click”? 🤔

Top 10 shoot-out for Sprint qualifying maybe Q3 pit cars run 10th to 1st one lap only...
Cam, mate... you should have asked Peter on the new FIA (possibly Red Bull's) brakes directive. It's techie, this one
Roomers made by a guy sitting behind a desk with a laptop with no proof as per usual !!!!!
Mercedes was faster before without Newey and just as fast now atm now they have a dip in performance at Redbull and internal issues...
>> *I HAVE A GREAT IDEA..
>> INSTEAD OF A SPRINT RACES IN F 1 CARS. PUT ALL THE DRIVERS IN STANDARD ROAD CARS FOR A 20 LAP RACE. LET THEM BANG INTO EACH OTHER AND HAVE FUN AND THE FANS WOULD LOVE THAT..!!!
Pete... you're losing your mind.
Your take on the Norris/Piastri Hungary situation was... off the planet.
I like Rovenpera more than Verstappen and there’s not nearly enough people interested in the cross overs to have such conversation 😢
I'm with Peter. 40:09
Genuine, non-rhetorical question, who is the other guy?
Cameron F1 😭
Make it make sense Peter
Hi , big fan , I think you should try making more interesting thumbnails to match your great content👌
Really enjoyed this and all input from Peter, but please please stop the patronising introduction!
End the SkySports contract in the Uk so we can have F1TV
Not any better trust me . Here in Us . Very vanilla commentary with redbull biases commentsry by redbull employee david coulthard
@@nothngspermanentEverything is better than Sky!
@@nothngspermanentI’ve never heard commentary from David lol I always listen to the international feed which is usually crofty and brundle and karaon. I’m not sure what feed you are watching unless what I get in the cayman islands is completely different from you lol
@@joepzenzhe’s talking about f1 tv and ur on about sky
@@s0lr542 can you read? lol obviously I’m talking about F1TV maybe you aren’t familiar with geography but the Cayman Islands is not in the UK. I have an F1 tv subscription hence my response.
Some can't stop about Checo..... some even say that they themself could do better than him...
I think the reason why a lot of F1 fans here in the US don’t get into rallying also is that we don’t see much of it here on tv. F1 is a lot more accessible.
I would trade George for Max in a heartbeat, and I like George, but not on Max’s level.
Williams would be good team to see what Newey could do to get them back to front of the pack...
Yawn. Ferrari didn’t just hire LH to drive, a lot of it is just to bring in the perception of ‘star quality’ that goes with LH. So Sainz was just on the rough end of that.
As much as I respect Peter Windsor, he hasn’t run a successful F1 team with multiple WDC and WCC. Yes he worked for Williams during there time at the top but he didn’t run it. Worked in media, his words. See Red 5 documentary. The Man Called Wolff has would multiply WDC and WCC. Well his drivers and team has. No one saying that about cry baby Horney horner, and he kept checo.
I agree I would put Adrienne Newey over any driver.
