@hollymc7412 In their (The Parent’s) defense, They most likely were not expecting the things that the producer’s were going to do to their kids but it was still awful that the parents didn’t immediately speak up when they noticed the weird stuff the producers were making their kids do just because “They didn’t want to end their kid’s career”
@@Holsss77 Again they mentioned in the documentary that they kept the parents off set because a lot of the parents would be miming the kids lines while they were concentrating on the scene. And it was distracting Or they would be butting in with instructions for their kids. Ignoring what the director wanted. It was for nefarious reasons. It was just because a lot of parents couldn’t control their behavior and would affect the kids performance. But I can blame the parents for the fact that they saw the scripts and they actually watched the show on tv. And not one of the parents had issues with Penelope Taint or some of the inappropriate jokes and gags and the weird feet stuff. Since they weren’t on stage they should have had problems with what they were making those kids say and do. That was one of the things that really struck me as odd watching it.
The sad part, is that Jerry probably had to endure it as well. Which is probably how he was able to recognize so easily and felt compelled to step in more.
I think I remember watching Dan Schneider clip videos and one clip was when Dan recorded Jerry in his towel,it was when he was dressing up in his costume for the show, the video was called Dan creepy clips or something like that-
I remember my kids watching I carly back in 2011 and i found the writing and characters so cringe. But i always adored spencer. Same for Captain Man when that super hero came out. Come to find out both were extremely protectice of the young cast!!! I love that.
I keep seeing people being like “Why didn’t he speak out about it?? He was too scared it would ruin his career!” But if he spoke out he would’ve gotten fired and then there wouldn’t be anyone to look out for those kids.
That is a good point. Given the events that followed, it may have been in the best interest of the children to be there. The only question that arises is, what about when they were no longer there to be subjected? He could’ve blown the whistle after, possibly even made some anonymous calls. Can’t really know for sure, cause we weren’t there. I cannot fathom the terror they all felt 😢 and am absolutely appalled and angry and sick to my stomach towards Nickelodeon & Disney for rehiring that sick POS (the one who went to prison for Drake Bell) someone being there to be a protection barrier was better then none at all; as seen with Drake Bell 🤬
People saying that are likely kids or immature people that don’t get how this kind of power and abuse isn’t just sourced to one bad apple with Dan…but it’s an entire institution that is complicit with that kind of inappropriate behaviour. Those actors, writers and pa’s likely saw a parent or worker fighting back often and guess what happened? Fired through an assistant, or a child actor asked to not return because mom would stand on business too much. Completely blacklisted from other ventures in that industry because the ones in power are vipers that stand together and won’t tolerate anyone rocking the boat or holding them accountable. Even when the worse abuse and trauma was put on someone there was still secrecy, victim blaming, denial over it. The fact people in the industry were polarized over the most guilty person alive (peck) abusing Drake shows how they’d take kids being uncomfortable or female writers being harassed even less serious. The people talking are viewing this with the tools and knowledge of 2024 with modern ideologies. It’s easy to be a Monday quarterback with all the pieces and proof, but those people were living that in real time and didn’t have all the context or knew every bad story about Dan. Plus, Dan Schneider’s predatory behavior was known and talked about for _years_ and nobody did anything about it at the time. It’s only now that he’s now under fire.
My brother was on the Nickelodeon set once (he was trying to be an actor) and met Jerry Trainor and he said Jerry was a really nice guy. Jerry said he thought it was weird (because my uncle asked him), that the parents of these kids would just drop their kids off at the studio and drive away. No parental supervision, so I’m assuming Jerry was the only one who tried his best to protect those kids.

@1CHILL_PILL1 Well, for one, we don't know how much he knew, nor how much he did to help. Two, the other adults in the documentary who worked for him also felt the same way the kids did. Four, he can only do so much to protect kids when their own parents know what's going on and don't care. Five, nobody's saying he did everything he could, but he did try to help. @aquajohnson2022-ve7ln It can be hard to do, especially if the person is persistent, and doesn't take a hint, or can't take no for an answer. A lot of people are used to people giving them what they want, or breaking people to get what they want. When you stand your ground, you give them a challenge to face. Don't back down, don't let them peer pressure you. Always listen to your gut. Who cares if you come off as mean, or how they will perceive you. It's about you at the end of the day, not them. You have to be selfish in life at times, to satisfy you. These are some great ways to start making boundaries. Telling people no, when you really do not want to do something. Don't let the guilt trip get you either, they will throw all their cards to get you to do what they want. And you always have to think to yourself, "what will I get from it?" If you can get genuine gratification from helping this person, by all means do it. But if you see no satisfaction for you physically or mentally, stand your ground. People love walking over others. Some thrive off it. I hope this helps. I struggled with putting up boundaries, but it protected my well being by doing so.
Can we please stop calling this drama like this was some celebrity nonsense? Children were hurt and had been hurt for decades. This should be taken to court or something.
Absolutelly! I will keep saying this on every video: Amanda Bynes exposed Dan Schneider on 2013 via twitter saying that she was R-word, got pregnant and had an abortion when she was 13 years old (also, she gave signs that this happened another time, but didn't said when). And nobody, NOBODY, gave 2 sh*ts, just labeled her as crazy. She even said that people would only believe her if other people talked about it. Videos with bizarre moments from shows produced by him are circulating on the internet for YEARS. So why is everybody acting like they are so shocked now?
While I definitely agree the sensationalism around this is disgusting, I don’t think it would ever hold up in court (both because of the lack of evidence for any prosecutable crime and how long ago everything happened, meaning both we would run into the statute of limitations and evidence that’s lost to time). As an abuse survivor, people constantly say “take it to court” like that’s an easy solution, and I wish people would realize how horrible the courts are at dealing with abuse. I think it’s more important that we talk about why this behavior was allowed to happen and how we can stop it from happening again. EVEN IF we took this to court and Dan Schneider was arrested… so what? We’ve shown that we can punish abusers years after they’ve traumatized countless people and made a fortune? Videos like these don’t help at all, but neither does focusing solely on punishing Dan. Why do we allow people to be hurt in the sake of “making good TV”? What can we do to protect children (and the adults he worked with who he also hurt) in Hollywood? What legislations and regulations can be put in place? What’s stopping current regulations from being affective? Why do corporations continuously hire abusers (not just Schneider, but convicted sex offenders like Brian Peck who got hired by Disney AFTER his conviction? Not to mention how many people in the industry came to Peck’s defense, showing a pattern of how members of an industry built on children will believe abusers over the children they abuse. Sorry for the long comment, but I absolutely agree videos like this aren’t helping. Hell, I’m not even sure what will help. Not to mention how social media is making it even easier for children to be exploited in media. But yeah, I don’t even think saying “Take Dan to court” would help, because the courts not only suck at handling abuse cases, but it’s not going to stop anything.
@@neonradiusI completely get your point, but if he was arrested it's not a "so what?" situation. It shows that actions have its consequences. Also, I'll take this opportunity to say how much I hate these videos and clout about these things. They're only aiming to gain from others' past and others' pain and trauma. Specially the written media. I think this also applies to strikes nowadays, no one does sh*t to help, just spread a word with no value. At least from what has been reported, Dan wasn’t as bad on Drake and Josh. Again, at least what has been said, reports Dan to be a strict boss but nothing compared to his other shows. The documentary also says Dan wasn’t really bad until Amanda Byrnes went with her show on ABC and they kicked him off their set (Dan noted he was not kicked off the set, just focused on other shows) and Dan returned to Nickelodeon.
@@seanpariser7300 That goes against other rumors that said Drake and Dan had "inappropriate alone time" with each other after Drake's mother separated Drake from his father's custody.
@@Dakarn I don’t think that is accurate. Bell was one of the stars that explained his story of his time with Nickelodeon and he barely mentioned Dan. Most he noted was him calling Dan soon after his S/A and Dan asking what he could do. Plus, Dan’s inappropriate behaviors were typically towards girls and not guys. Drake has no reason to lie. I would think maybe he signed a NDA but that would probably mean even his story about the guy who S/Aed him would be off limits too. Amanda Bynes may have been a victim as many said Dan and her were very close and frequently left alone together. There are also rumors about Jamie Spears.

It WASN’T for nefarious purposes.
The sad part, is that Jerry probably had to endure it as well. Which is probably how he was able to recognize so easily and felt compelled to step in more.
That part.
I think I remember watching Dan Schneider clip videos and one clip was when Dan recorded Jerry in his towel,it was when he was dressing up in his costume for the show, the video was called Dan creepy clips or something like that-
He was also much older than the rest of the cast, so I think he was able to see through Dan’s BS a lot easier than the younger cast members.
Didn’t think bout that. Could be a possibility
those kids loved jerry for that. the way miranda cosgrove specifically talks ab him like he literally was her big brother warms my heart so much
I know right
I remember my kids watching I carly back in 2011 and i found the writing and characters so cringe.

He was just their immature boss they gave the benefit of the doubt to.
@@surette2012 valid valid point. It isn’t just ONE sicko, it runs deep and when money is the language, they can manipulate their wrongdoings by banding together, like a vault. And it would be silenced or nobody would believe him
Plus, Dan Schneider’s predatory behavior was known and talked about for _years_ and nobody did anything about it at the time.
No parental supervision, so I’m assuming Jerry was the only one who tried his best to protect those kids.
that just sounds crazy to me that people would leave their kids at some studio building/warehouse with a bunch of strangers for hours every day. no matter how much money it is. that just sounds like human trafficking to me.

@1CHILL_PILL1 Well, for one, we don't know how much he knew, nor how much he did to help. Two, the other adults in the documentary who worked for him also felt the same way the kids did. Given how many adults in Hollywood have gone through this, it's obviously not uncommon. Three, Jerry is just as groomed as the others because he started working for them as a teenager.
Makes me very happy to hear that Jerry is a good guy irl
Everyone knows Schneider was how he was and did what he did, but he isn't being hold responsible for this. Everyone bad mouths him and that's all he gets. That's how it works nowadays.
Sorry, I'll stop before I get more heated up XD.

I mean it’s not his first Nick show either, he probably saw how Dan was on Drake & Josh and didn’t want the iCarly cast to go through that too. Good for him. Love seeing it.
@@unicornkitteh5332 Yeah, it seems like Dan didn't actually do any SA, and he's being used to deflect from actual s3x predators.
@@LordRayken I've heard there's 3 guys with proven accusations. I can't imagine how many others are still in the shadows (probably Dan included, he's such a creep)
@@LordRaykenyou really gonna defend him??? Really?
Jerry you dropped this 👑, king!
Jerry is like a real life big brother that these kids needed.
i can't wait to see his career resurgence. this man deserves so much respect as both a human and an actor/comedian
Why did Dan have to hug the girls in the way he did!!?? His arm placed around their neck (and almost in their chest). So awkward and weird. Not need to touch anyone at all
you could tell by mirandas face she was uncomfortable
because hes a sick person
He needs to be jailed. Pervert
because he's a predator that's why
Maybe it’s a thing from the times? Idk I was expected to be ok with casual touching like that all the time growing up. It was creepy and uncomfy for me even back then, but a lot of guys were never checked for that behavior until me too. So many never thought twice about it (or about anyone’s feelings but their own)
Jerry you are the man,
jerry trainor has always seemed like a real one to me, especially when i was a kid like he felt like an uncle to me 😂
The reality is that Jerry probably spent more time with those kids than their actual family. They truly were his siblings. He loved those kids.
Jerry a silent hero.
Jerry is amazing
He's an icon, he's a legend, and he is the moment ☕️
GOD bless U Jerry Trainor 🚂🚆🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 U Where there as A guardian Angel 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
I never watched iCarly but I know Jerry from No Good Nick. It’s amazing to see him protecting the kids
He’s a Hollywood hero!
Jerry was always the nicest guy
I've always had such a crush on him. He seems like a genuine sweetheart
Theres another video of Cooper who played Ray in Henry Danger another Dan show telling the producers to zip up their pants cuz for some reason they were down and he kept yelling "this is a kids show!"
Now thats what you call a hero,,, this man deserves everyones respect
I fukn love Jerry Trainor dudes not only hilarious he's an all around good person and what he did for those kids was respectable as hell. Good on him and good on the girls for being able to speak their truth.
I always did like Jerry. I hated Icarly because of the focus on their feet but my little sister loved it, i always felt that brotherly connection went farther than just the show, good to see i was right, dudes an awesome human
He was a great character, and seemed like a genuine dude, happy he was there for them kids
Jerry is a good man at heart.
He was a protective big bro IRL!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Protect this MAN
What a guardian angel
honestly bless Jerry Trainor for existing. I know there wasn't a ton a lot of people could do, but it really seems like he did everything he safely could to help them, keep them safe, cheer them up etc. He's a treasure honestly.
Everyone should be more like Jerry man I love him ❤
Jerry is the man. I’ve loved him since his Crazy Steve days.
we dont pronounce gif as jif, but we can pronounce “GOAT” as “jerry” just this once
Underrated comment right here.
But I do pronounce it like jif...😮
@@CosmicKindnessGIF is an acronym for Graphics Interchange Format. It's pronounced with the G sound.
@@AmysAttitude I'm just imagining GUI (graphic user interface) pronounced as jew-y instead of gooey lol
@@AmysAttitudeit's literally not, though. The actual inventor of the format preferred the soft G, so it *IS* pronounced "jif". It was only after the internet was taken over by idiots that the hard g became more common. Incorrect, but common.
Anyway, the literalism is ridiculous when you consider how SCUBA is pronounced.
Always look for the helpers in a bad situation.
As a kid watching Jerry I always knew he was the good guy!
for anyone frustrated that some people haven’t come forward, in jeanette’s book, she talks about how she turned down a $300k contract agreeing not to talk about any negative experiences on set, but i’m sure others took it
All the adults including Jerry could have actually done something tho instead of just getting in between people, dumb asf yall will glorify someone for doing the least they can do
Jerry- an actual Hollywood MVP. Good dude, love to see it. We need more adults like him in show business.

@@1CHILL_PILL1I don’t think you understand exactly how complex a situation like this is. It is very difficult when in this type of situation because you are going up against a person who, at that point, held a good amount of influence and could do a lot of damage if you got on their bad side. Jerry was at least doing something. Could he have done more? Probably, but he might not have even made an impact. You don’t know what you will actually do until you are the one who is facing the decision.
Jerry Trainor is a national treasure & hero. Protect him at all costs as he protected his younger on set siblings. Love you Jerry! Thank you!
I've always like Jerry. He's a genuinely awesome guy
He is the big brother nobody expected, nobody asked for, but everyone needed❤
Good job, Jerry. He is the glimmer of light that every child set needs.
Jerry has so much protective big brother energy
It’s not about the drama it’s about protecting the youth of Hollywood and other industries
Jerry Trainor always struck me as a gentleman.
Jerry was so brave, I love him so much. I loved the connection he had with the minors on and off set.
this man is so loved for a reason. would love to see him in more stuff but if not i’m glad he’s able to live a great life off screen ❤
Jerry Trainor is a freakin Hero
Jerry is just one of the nicest guys ever, seriously. If a golden retriever was a person it would be him.
