thank you for the nice flight report - we took CI a few years ago from Frankfurt over Taipei to Manila in a Boeing 777 and all was really good -we had a stopover in Taipei for 3 days and enjoyed the city
I've been flying CI since 2012 on some long haul routes such as TPE-LAX vv, TPE-AMS vv, TPE-YVR vv as well as TPE-CGK vv. And they always been serving congee as breakfast . I think it's their signature breakfast
Great video! I enjoy it. Welcome to Taiwan! I also fly China Airlines a lot between London and Taipei. Would've preferred EVA if only they flew nonstop though. And their 777s are aging. Hope you had a wonderful time in Taipei.
Terminal 3 at Heathrow was opened in 1963. The other terminals, 4 opened in 1988, 5 opened 2008 and 2 opened in 2013. So yes Terminal 3 does require modification or a complete rebuild after 61 years. Terminal 1 opened in 1969 and decommissioned 2013.
Haha some people might argue Taiwan and China are the same, good thing they can’t easily access this side of the internet without VPN… Could’ve been a comfy flight if not for the thin padding 😢

I imagine they prepare it better when flying out of Taipei too. Catering was done in London for this flight and it was pretty bland.
Great review mate I’ve just subscribed
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed

Thanks for watching! Taipei was great, though I was melting like butter.
@@freddiesflightreviews oh man 🥲I know what you are saying. It is definitely a giant hot box even to local people. 🥵
I remember on an international American Airline flight, I got a ham and cheese sandwich as a snack. Sadly that was the best meal during that flight
US airlines in general are notorious for their bad food
On September 30th, I am heading to Bangkok via Taiwan from Los Angeles, and my seat is 62A!
Hopefully you enjoy the flight! Their short haul flights are also great too so it should be good all the way to Bangkok.

Yep, needs a refurbishment like Terminal 2
My mom is a loyal CI customer. They have good lounges and service.
Before pandemic China airlines used to fly from London Gatwick to Taipei
I’m Taiwanese I like China airlines very much
Good stuff
I believe this airline is underrated
Definitely
Intetesting trip report 👍✈️🇷🇺
Were they strict with the checked baggage weight? How was the flight overall. The flight seems amazing.
They will charge you extra if your checked luggage is overweight. Hand luggage wasn’t weighed though.

Dang, don't say that to a Taiwanese person
Taiwan no.1
