    To everyone throwing comments against their percussion score out there, it's a valid criticism based on the book and their cleanliness, but also know that judges take into account how well the book flows with the rest of the show as well as what the front ensemble is doing. They had the highest content score for a reason and I'm sure they can clean some of the rougher stuff by finals. Hard beats don't equal everything anymore.

      The pit is a factor people ignore often

    • @jordantyler148
      @jordantyler148 Год назад

      Their pit is so good, but also percussion scoring is just broke right now, the field judge can’t hear the battery for most of the show. When the cavies drumline is up front their features are hard af and clean af. And when they aren’t the book is just solid supporting material. But right now that’s what judging (at least the field judge) rewards.

Cavvies front is supposedly the definitve best rn this season. Add in CLEAN spacing from the battery along with their exposed features AND their difficult drill... I'm not surprised by this score at all. Great year for percussion

Even if they played piss clean and EVERYONE ELSE, including Crown BD, Bloo, Boston, and Cadets had an off night, there's just no way in hell Cavs beat ALL of them. Like let's be honest, this is by far the easiest book in the top 6 or 7 groups. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

      Just because they’re not ramming an ass ton of notes for no reason doesn’t make their book easier… this book has a buttfuck ton of space and they handle it extremely well.

    • @901.design6
      @901.design6 Год назад +5

      It takes just as much skill an effort to play fewer notes as it does to ram notes……and to do it clean. In fact I’d argue tha playing more notes is a bit easier because a book with a lot space in it is far easier to mess up.
      For example……the end of cavies show, those double stops are nothing but open space which means they a lot more chances to get knocked off points wise for each attack they miss. When you’re ramming notes, once you start…for the most part it locks in and your good.
