I have one question. What kind of camera and microphone you are using in your videos? Also, I would like to start filming drum lines, etc. Do you have a microphone and camera that you would recommend?
I have a bunch of equipment. Because I'm always on the go between the lot and the stadium my mainstay has become the iPhone Xr for its portability. It's got an incredible microphone that's good enough for clarity in lot recording with a good amount of bass. I tried other recent models but always return to the Xr because it's audio is superior. The Xr does not do well in windy conditions so if you do prefer an external mic there are some great choices and I've tried about half of these: crumplepop.com/what-is-the-best-microphone-for-iphone-2/ And, be sure to keep your video quality at or above 1080 preferably 1080p60 so it looks nice for viewers with larger screens. Happy to chat further. My GF speaks Japanese :)
Per the BD method I suspect there will be lots of cleaning done over the next couple of weeks. Speaking as an observer not part of the staff, the show drill can benefit from finessing for gaps but may or may not need a massive overhaul since none seems to predicate a 5Q, but we shall see.
I could tell something was up in the Drum line the last few shows, they showed confusion in their faces not like when @FBarnacle and I filmed back in Cali at the DCI Capital Classic. They showed serious confidence in their faces like true champions ! In The Lot was on fire you could feel the spark of energy! This energy is like finals week, when everything has to be spot on to get that groove vibe going! It's tough being on tour, circumstances and mind set play a huge role. Santa Clara Vanguard thrive on mind set! None the less the standard BD has is always Champion level! 😀
Yeah I feel this too. For me, sometimes it's hard to match the show's theme with the music. I can recall like Bluecoats' 2016 show or SCV's 2018, but it's hard with a lot of the BD shows in the last decade. The only show from BD that I really can play in my head visually and musicially is 2012 (my favorite) and 2014.
@spellingchampeon I let the drumline know what you said. They said as soon as they are done polishing their gold medals, they will send you a thank you letter for the kind words. They just need the address to the basement you currently reside in.
dude you are like at every show 😆are you a volunteer w the corps?
Fortunately I have a lot of unused mileage on my favorite airline :)
@@FBarnaclenice! How many shows have you been to this season. And how many more do you plan on going to?

@@FBarnacle Lucky Dude! 😀You are fired up!
@@RobertVeesince I couldn’t march in a corps, being in the lot is my way of living the dream 😅
Scojo once called out a metronome for rushing. Said metronome was cut the next day.
OG Ditty is still the best!! New one is to busy for me. I remember in 94 watching them warmup in Rockford, after we warmed up.
This bass line laying down the funk 😳
Nice one! 😀
I was there! I was the guy in the BD shirt with a grey DCI cap lol
Did anyone else notice that 19 foot tall guy when the tenors where playing flams
13:15 I was wondering what corps Kareem Abdul-Jabbar be marching this year😅
BLUE SMOKE!!!

What kind of sticks are the snares using?
I suspect but can't confirm they are the new Rudy Garcia signatures: ruclips.net/video/SKOcur897Is/видео.html
I think the tenors are using the Garcias and the snares are probably using one of the many variants of the Scott Johnson’s
what's the thing they smoking?
They’re burning incense to make blue smoke. It’s their drumline tradition
so 1 tenor just gone.. how the drill will be changes?

There was a tenor gone?
they did good with the hole seems like they got the drill down fast
@@johnnydasuperye for some stuff he allegedly did

Where’s the 5th quad
kicked out bc of sexual assault allegations
If you listen close ....I can hear my song I did for them AAAAYYEEEEEE
What happened to the center tenor?
Accusations from when he was with the Bluecoats last season.
He Got kicked out for Sexual Assault allegations.
I don’t know what it is, but I’ve yet to see a Blue Devils show that I wanted to rewatch. ‘95 might be the only exception, not my cup of tea I guess.
Sure. tbh either a show "clicks" for you or it doesn't. There's enough different drum corps variety to suit every drum corps fan's taste.
Those 94-99 shows are all rewatchable imo.
Don’t get me wrong, the precision and skill is undeniable.

this is easily the dirtiest drumline in the top 12
They're barely winning percussion. Won't even make finals.
