👂👂 I hear you, especially about 0.25 and 0.5. I live in South africa and the dollar goes so far in my country. on my personal account, Which is 1000usd, i risk 0.5/1%. i am profitable and i learnt that after i mastered trading my own money consistently that i saw success in trading my demo prop challenges. Making 300usd in 5000ZAR. Rent, Water, Electricity ,food are all taken care of. i failed my 1st two challenges and decided to step back and learn the craft. the interesting part is when i stopped trading prop and focused on my personal my friend take my exact trades and passed a challenge in a month. it was eye opening to me the my trading in terms of technicals wasnt bad but what i struggled with was psychology. then i remembered watching a video of yours where you talked about the comfort number is what i was getting wrong. i needed to scale down and pass in order to scale up.
🧐👂🏽 Kimmel!!! This video is EVERYTHING!!! I just passed my phase 2. I've been having to wait due to fulfilling the minimum trading days, but during this downtime, I have been focusing on how I want to do my risk management for my funded account. Thank you for keeping it 💯. You are MUCH appreciated! Much love from Florida!!
👂 As a Nigerian Trader, I loved the way you broke down approach to risk depending on the country and region you're in and the type of trader rather level of trader one is.. Thank you very much for an amazing video!!!!
We're all professional risk managers. This is golden, thanks Kimmel, I took a whole page of notes watching this lol. Can't wait for 2024, I finally turn 18 and can go for funding. 👂
Very intressting view on propfirm riskmanagment. Personally have passed couple accounts but due to psychology failed them. Taken a month break from buying fundeds and focesd more on the skill itself and refining my strat. Which have improved my wr and upped rr. Now with a full edge gonna get back on the fundeds with more perserv👂
👂have a lot to learn from you. Keep posting this type of videos ,they are the best. The best takeaways, I would say is: 1. Find your comfort number, which you can afford to lose 2. Define your risk by number of trades you take weekly basis 3. Get refund after passing, instead of starting trading immediately 4. Focusing on risking less and chasing AUM > risking more and risking loosing funded account
I’m feeling the pressure. Lost my 90k salary job about 3 months ago. Spending a lot of time trading and want to be successful but keep failing. I finally got funded but now I’m in the phrase of trying to earn money. Had six funded accounts and blew 4 of them this week. If it was only me I’ll be alright but when you have a family to support is why I feel a heavy weight on me. I failed myself and my family. I don’t want to quit but it might be for the best
Investing in stocks has to be one of the many essential things about finances. Individuals these days get lured into inaction and talk about the now and not the future. How do you grow a $10000 business to a $100,000,000 business? Investments, having a solid financial foundation..
Very true! I've been able to scale from $150K to $489k in this red season because my Financial Advisor figured out Defensive strategies which help portfolios be less vulnerable to market downturns
Technically I usually go with registered and licenced representatives. "RAY F JOHNSON" for example has the best performance history (in my opinion) and does offers 1v1 consultation to his copiers which I think is amazing. I don't know how many traders like that are there.>
🧐 Your videos are so inspiring. This video is the best video I have watched this year I will definitely become a successful Trader myself, even if it will take years!! ❤
Favourite takeaway; Trading skill is the goal. Not prop firms (secondary). Really good advice/webinar. Well worth the wait. Muito obrigado (translated).
Super honest view. I know about this but still cannot apply when I trade. I have edge but it turn out calculated gambling. Have taken the screenshots and like to apply only this in trading👍👍
Kimmel i will say thanks so much for this Risk Management Webina, i took time to watch it and this hit me well, it's as if you are talking to me directly. i have lost two funded accounts 5k and 10k already and i failed my phase 2 fundednext last week which affected me so much. i'm currently funded with FTMO 10k account. and in 4% DD now. after watching this i have discovered i'm actually the problem because i'm over risking on my funded account and i still need to work on my mindset and. i'm even thinking of getting a 50k account. but i will hold on now. from this moment every thing will change for me. thanks so much.
Think you so much for your video that solved my problem in risk management and I am going to follow your instructions and find out what is going to happen 👂👂👂👂👂👂🏻
We 👂 you bro. Thanks for the risk management webinar which was overlooked by beginners in their trading journey. My favourite takeaway 🧐: Rule No1. Follow risk management/exposure. Rule No 2. Follow Rule No 1.
I like the fact that you mentioned assets under management and risking a low percentage on this for building a long term career. It confirms what I have been thinking about the last two weeks. Thank you ☺
👂 This is a really good video Kimmel, I'm going back to trading this year and the first thing to me was going back to the drawing board and reviewing my edge and starting on the demo account and funding my live account little by little
Recently passed two 50k challenges on futures prop firms. 0.25% on 50k would be $125, but the draw down is $2000 max on Top Step and $2500 on Apex. It would be right to base it on the max drawdown instead of account size
Here are the key takeaways from the video: 1.Before prop firms, know your trading experience, finances, and risk tolerance. Don't risk more than 10% of your savings on challenges. 2.Forget quick prop firm wins. Focus on developing a consistently profitable trading edge. 3.Start small, grow gradually. Don't jump into big challenges right away. 4.Control your risk, keep it low. Don't be easy pickings for prop firms. 5.Find a simple, reliable trading strategy that consistently makes money. Ditch the gambling mentality. 6.Failing a challenge is okay. Learn, improve, and come back stronger
i just learnt bout risk exposure in this video and how its calculated, i greatly appreciate this video it was very needful as i just purchased a funded account. Thank you Kimmel ❤❤
Nobody ever emphasises on this topic. This is hands-down the most important topic when it comes to being consistent in trading 👏 keep up the good content 👌
Now here's the problem: Shouldn't we focus on taking our setups rather than limiting ourselves to a specific # of trades per week limited? For example: some weeks our A+ setup occurs a lot more often than other weeks. It varies a ton
i want to know your guidance--- I AM PRFOITABLE 4%-5% per month ( 10-15 Trades in Month) 1:2.2 RR every trade ,i am focusing to consistently profitable for 6 month my real account then gonna Buy high amount account and risk less and pass!!! Whats your opinion?😊
The key takeaways from the video were around managing risk appropriately when pursuing prop trading opportunities through starting small, limiting total weekly risk exposure based on experience, focusing on long-term consistency over chasing large payouts, reviewing strategy after losses, and not risking more money until improving skills to avoid prop firms incentivizing failure for their own gain.
👂 this actually one of those video that i really need to gove urself more proper knowledge. Instead of those ppl who flex their million of acct when they already earning money outside of the forex like signals etc. Then deposit big amount of money then get to million to flex it on socials. Thank you kimmel, soon enough ppl will know what u tryna put out on yt and look up to you like i am rn.
👂Thank You..! Key Takeaways * First, understand who you are and where you are now. * Trade conservatively rather aggressive. * Risk a minimum % and make sure you pass the challenge and get your refund. Then you have a risk-free account to trade with no hesitation. * The goal is to increase AUM not the risk percentage per trade. * One trade is not going to change your life but a series of trades over a period of time.
🧐Great video. Can you please make a video going in detail about the differences between account types in prop firms (i.e normal vs swing accounts) and how to avoid being penalized on accounts by maybe trading news events or holding a trade too long on a normal account
🧐🧐🧐 Good video Kimmel. Direct and to the point. Risk management is the most important part of trading. Long term thinking and focusing on the process, keeps you in the game.
I am amazed how these RUclipsrs can make a castle of sand. Like littletlu anyone doing trading don’t know this is gambling but then again good for the guy to make content

Hey man, I live in south africa and I'm struggling a lot, I've been trading for more than 5 years, can you please help me?

Just watching it now. It's amazing, I wish to win a challenge I will take every step extremely serious. Thanks so much
Passed the prop challenge with The5ers, Risk management and trading psychology for the win.
My largest challenge was risk management, but The5ers focus on risk control helped me overcome it.
Great video. Can you do a video on drawdowns? Different prop firms seem to have different types of drawdowns.
Best video i have seen... you just made my mind clear about what i am going to do next! 👂

33 mins of pure GOLD.
Also, cleann setup!
Recently passed two 50k challenges on futures prop firms. 0.25% on 50k would be $125, but the draw down is $2000 max on Top Step and $2500 on Apex.
It would be right to base it on the max drawdown instead of account size
I was hoping that you also talk about leverage and and maybe also lotsize and commission of it
This is probably the best risk management breakdown I've come across. Job well done thank you 👂
Excellent webinar!!!!! When a meet up in Portugal?
1.BEST WAY to APPROACH PROP FIRMS my favorite video
i really like your idea, can u please do a risk management videos for trading my own account, or is it basically same?
