They were very alike, the way they anticipated the opponent, and not just sending the ball away, but controlling it and counter-attacking at a great speed. They also shared that leadership and confidence, excelent ball control, vision...a must-have in ANY team u could think of...too bad they were different generations

5 stars! As a defender, he was almost a complete package since i don't recall his aerial game was as dominant as his ground game. But he was perfect as a sweeper. Good highlights from the 94 WC final. He almost single-handedly nullified Brazil's central attacks and nearly scored a goal. It's a shame that he didn't win a major trophy for his country.
I don't know much about past football players but players like Baresi are just legends in my eyes. The game just doesn't have these figures anymore and in a way it's quite sad.

Suprisingly, he shooted very well, furthermore, from this footage he showed a great ability in dribbing, passing and organising attack immediately after tackle. Woa, what a versatile player. Now i understand why Sachi called him up for the 94 USA Final vs Brazil although he was not fully recoverd. Truely a legend. FORZA Milan
