Dave yelling Alvin sounds less like a parental figure angry and more like a man being pushed off a cliff by an adolescent chipmunk, but he's underwhelmed by it
My favorite story about this franchise is David Cross-Uncle Ian-saying Chipwrecked was the worst filming experience of his career because he had to wear a chicken suit the whole movie and nearly died from the overheating. He wasn't even supposed to be in it all movie the director just straight up wanted to torture him so he changed it to be full chicken all the time during shooting. He's not in Road Chip.
Fun fact: Cats won't hunt adult rabbits because the force of the back feet and claws are potentially lethal, of they connect. But I've witnessed the horrifying act of my own cat catch and eat a baby rabbit, before I adopted her. My home is always free of mice.
For a second, I thought that they were actually going to watch the old cartoons and I was like, "This can only end terribly." LOL EDIT: Okay, after this post, I went back and watched some of those old cartoons and I changed my mind. They absolutely need to watch some of these.
Everybody talks about the cgi movies, but the 1987 Chipmunk Adventure had a scene where Britney is captured to be a child bride and tries to escape by singing to a bunch of ph*lic shaped snakes that she wants to "get lucky" with them - all in a sexy Arabian harem outfit. After SUCCESSFULLY seducing the snakes Britney tries to steal a bunch of dolls filled with diamonds (which is a not so subtle metaphor for cocaine in the film) from her captor and flees with her sisters. And thats not even the strangest part of the movie. It is a wild ride from start to finish
That wasn’t actually the plot you need to go and check your facts again, the song was chosen from scrapped songs they made that is why it didn’t even fit into the seen because if you listen to the voices it contained all Chipettes but Eleanor wasn’t there but Bagdasarian said they forgot to base a song on the scene so they chose a random one and placed it in that is why it doesn’t 100% make sense within the scene. I highly recommend you double check your facts before making such comments
I want to see them react to Alvin and the chipmunks meet the wolf man. The scene where they described pulling the bullets out of the werewolf was masterful.
@@sonnevinquire3019 I don't know why, but the darkest versions of kids' shows tend to be the best. You know what might have made this movie at least a tiny bit more bearable and feel just a little more like an authentic Alvin & the Chipmunks movie? If it had been ANIMATED... You know, like Alvin & the Chipmunks generally were until the 2000's-2010's got into the persisting trend of movies trying to recapture the magic of Roger Rabbit but with computer animation? Hence, we've gotten film after derivative film over the past couple decades of iconic cartoon characters turned into uncanny CGI, with real actors "trying" to act convincingly around them on sets instead of animation that looked like it had actual heart put into it. That's one of several reasons I still prefer The Chipmunk Adventure, silly globe-trotting drug ring plot and all. To quote Nostalgia Critic, "It made sense in the 80's." It's just a stronger creative exercise of artistry and entertainment in my opinion, with more passion behind its animation, more energy in its characters' voice performances, more purpose in its song choices, more reasons to invest in its narrative, and an overall experience that just felt more like Alvin & the Chipmunks.
This was the only Alvin and the Chipmunks movie I watched in its entirety as a kid. I watched a little bit of the Squeakquel and I've never seen the 3rd and 4th movie.
