I really like those videos, but as I have only a pocket piston trumpet and else only play on B rotary trumpet, my question is, Where would one start trying Lotus mouthpieces for rotary trumpet? Any general recommendations for a more soft sound for Classical church hymn music and some Bach chorales?
@@lotustrumpets6739 I'm currently playing a Breslmair G2 in terms of cup size and diameter its somewhere between Bach 3B and 5B but with a lot bigger backbore. I'm playing in a church brass ensemble, so more on the classical side of music.
It’s all about how she feels/hears it and whether or not metal or wood feels better on the chops. Her style seems to be fairly developed and all she was looking for was a mthpc that made it easier to get express.
I thought her sound was way more complex and interesting on the 2M, and it seemed to me that she liked it more, but was maybe a little sheepish about expressing her preference. Then again, I guess it's almost impossible to judge the acoustic quality of the sound in a recording. *shrug*
it might've been that between her enthusiasm towards other pieces and gear, as well as her differing style that the Turbo wouldn't've given her as much benefit vs the gear that she bought?

Our XL model mouthpieces are Rotary mthpcs. Which brand and model of mouthpiece are you using now? What style of music do you most often perfom?

@@lotustrumpets6739 do you have any dealerships in chicago? is it on the lotus website?
Would the turbowood be too dark and creamy without enough articulation and body given her style?

Love seeing a new artist I don’t know about, surprised you didn’t get her to try the turbo wood with her style of playing, why was that Adam?

Because we didn’t have with us in her size.

According to your Homepage a 2L2 is a 3c and not a 1 1/2c....
