Your channel has become my reference for board games. Your way of explaining the game, showing how it plays, then some final thoughts, is what makes you unique. Great sound quality, great visual, clear explanations, no ambiguity, you're the best! You make a great couple.
I saw this game recently in my FLGS and was curious, so I was happy to see you guys have a video. I'm definitely going to go back and pick it up as it seems like a great fit for my wife and I!
Love your videos you guys! Monique, you explain games SO well.
My go to when I want to learn a game. 😊👍🏻
Thanks so much Susan, hope you have a wonderful New Years!
Really loved your playthrough btw. Everything is explained so clearly. And it's just a lot of fun to watch.
Picked this up today, can't wait to play it. Lots of clever ideas in here for sure.
I enjoy your teach and play thru. Very good. Thank you! 👍
I really love your videos, keep them coming!
Love your videos as you two explain things so well and your playthroughs are well done and easy to follow! I have been avoiding this game and passing it up, but I saw your video and I am going to my local board game store to now pick up a copy. It might be a tad hard getting a two player game to the table with my friends, but it seems fun so I can't pass it up.
Just bought this game and, as usual, you two guys have nailed the instructional runthrough. SO much easier than wading through the rulebook. Thanks!
Thank you for this - it was really helpful as I hadn’t quite understood the rules, particularly about harvesting. You have made it clear.
Glad we could help!
I’ve ordered this game and it should arrive by tonight. Thanks to your tutorial and play through I can get game play started with minimal use of the instructions. Glad to see a resource management/card drafting game specifically designed for two. The game mechanics look great!
As always incredible video, thank you!
Just received my copy of this game today, so I'm looking forward to playing it. Thank you for the clear and concise playthrough!👍👍
Thank you! Hope you enjoy it
This looks like it plays great! I've been trying to get more into two-player games and the theme and mechanics are right down my alley!
Ahh nice! Yeah we're always on the lookout for 2-player games
Thanks for the preview! This one looks fun. Ordered my copy last night
Hope you enjoy it!
I’m always looking for good, quick 2 player games to play with my husband and this one is at the top of my wishlist. So glad y’all covered it and I feel very prepared to play it when it releases 😊 Thanks for the video!
Thank you!
Thanks for the great playthrough & video! (Playing catch-up around the youtube.)
I was on the fence on getting this game because it was designed by Scott Almes. Seeing it having an Agricola theme and vibe, with many familiar mechanics (card drafting, hand management, multi-use cards, resource management/capacity, upgrades, endround/endgame bonuses), and does not play very long, I will definitely keep this on my radar. :)
At 16:36, even if Monique wanted to take the rye it wouldn't be allowed. Players may not exchange offered tokens for those already stored if their storage is full. Luckily it was only actually done at 26:09.
This rule is so frustrating when you get offered something you REALLY need 😅 But it's such a great game, and I really enjoyed watching the playthrough 🙂
The funny thing is I included it in the teach, then after I finished editing I had a strange feeling that I messed that up somewhere but couldn’t find it. Lol Thanks for that! We’ll include it in the Klingon subtitles. It’s a great rule
@@BeforeYouPlay I just edited the comment to show the timestamp of when it was done, so I hope this helps with the subtitles 🙂
@@EmmaNovaheim Thank you so much. That's so helpful!
Great playthrough guys
Thank you so much for your great explanation
Thanks, this was really well explained
You’re welcome! Thanks for checking out our video ☺️
Great video guys! I've just ordered this game a couple of hours ago, and after this, I won't need the rule book. 😂
I have this reserved, waiting on me to pick it up tomorrow at my FLGS. Can't wait!
This is a great teach!
Thank you I just picked it up at the new Capstone Games retail store in Cincinnati
That's awesome! We'd love to visit there one day
That's the dopest coffee-and-donuts-with-a-90s-aesthetic shirt I've seen, Naveen.
Enjoyed this playthrough very much. I also appreciate you not giving an opinion on paid/sponsored games. And yes, I know they're running out of me....saw your comment in another thread :P
Such fun!
Lovely playthrough! I was very dubious of this game when I first saw it. Given the current popularity, I decided to pull the string on a deal I found yesterday. Watching this playthrough, it looks like a keeper and maybe a competitor for Targi (my favorite 2-player currently)
Thanks for watching! Ooooh Targi is great
Looks like a pretty simple resource conversion, recipe fulfilment game with a little bit of engine building. Reminds of Splendor (especially with different resources, limits, and cards to complete).
Yeah it's pretty straightforward in terms of fulfilling cards, but the main gameplay is in the planning and switching off of card hands.
I used to play MTG but I think I would rather play this. Thanks for the play through. 👍👍
at 37:07 Naveen could have brewed the 9 gold beer present in the exchange space instead of overproducing and brewed a 6 gold beer a turn later. Not 100% sure if that was enough (since that would have changed the way the rest of turn played out) but I wonder if that was the exact 3 beer points he was missing
Bread was his limiting factor at the time. He didn't want to continue to increase the beer score because his bread score was not high enough.
@@BeforeYouPlay Make sense, it's a hard game to optimize despite it's apparent simplicity. Thank you for the great video
Omg, I said the exact same thing then ran to the comments to see if anyone else caught that. Lol
Too late now, but could you have rotated the board vertically so you'd each be on a side? The portrait orientation may have made the game play a tad easier visually.
Thank you for the feedback! That is always a tough decision for us but we usually go with a horizontal orientation because of the large amount of empty space that would be on the sides.
My bid on ebay won so I am now the proud new owner of this game. And I can not wait to play it.
Sweet!! Hope you enjoy!!
@@BeforeYouPlay I am sure I will thank you, oh and your channel is awesome I understood how to play this game and many other games as well much better so thank you for showing everyone how to play all these awesome games.
bro i love that shirt, where did you get it?
it looks fun. Can't wait for Dune Imperium Immortality expansion for you to play it's Navine time to win.
Oh my gosh we love that game. We don't have the expansion though, hopefully we can cover it!
Looks very Uwe-lite (which isn't me being salty; I love Scott Almes). Seems like it could be a good bridge-ing game for people turned off by some of the more dry looking Uwes. I like the engine building and resource management here; the positive interaction of the card passing and resource dumping is a very interesting twist.
My two favorite things😂
haha. We are also fans
22:50 2 hops this time!
Is there an affiliate link to that table cloth? Looks perfect for gaming.
We don't have an affiliate link but it's called, "Arcturus Military Wool Blanket" on Amazon. It comes in a few colors and it's great!
Isn't Monique supposed to take another barley at 27:47 because of her upgrade-card?
Well done, but not my pice of bread 🤣 , have you recently tried skymines. I really would appreciate to see a Review and a playthrough and I am looking forward to hear your opinion....
We have Skymines but haven't played it yet. We will be reviewing it but not sure about a playthrough since we have one already for Mombasa
Well, than you have to try the back site with the astroids and one of two moduls, which you do not have in Mombasa. So it's a slightly different experience. Give it a try, you will not regret it...
By the way, you would be the first, there are no videos available showing this version...potential additional clicks 🤣
Viticulture with Beer!
Is there a second tie breaker?
Yes! The second tiebreaker is the player who does NOT have the windmill at the time
i've found your channel not too long ago and i have to say you're really good at teaching games and i love your warm and cozy atmosphere in videos.
You dont have many views like lets say Will Wheaton has with his famous guests in his videos. But your videos are really great in terms of content. Just not as flashy and no guests, People love flashy things and memes. ST&SD is also flashy with memes.
Just my thoughts.. you have a great duo and your videos are cool, very informative and kinda relaxingly good. You'll grow eventually, just keep up a good work and keep finding more ideas to develop a channel constantly.
Awww thank you so much! We really appreciate your kind words =)
How do you like the game?
Yeah would have liked your thoughts
Paid Review?
This was a sponsored playthrough, so for these videos we don't publicly share our opinions. We don't do paid reviews on our channel.
why no REVIEW ?
This is a sponsored (paid) video so we don't include opinions/review
