Jon, your playthroughs with friends have rekindled my love for your channel! They are my favorite boardgame videos on youtube, keep up the amazing work!!
Thanks for these brilliant play throughs. The attention to camera views and zooming in plus the editing makes these my favourite play through out there. Nice to see Jessica make an appearance :)
Love these playthrough with friends videos. The camera work you're doing for these blows away any other playthroughs I've seen from other content creators. We, the audience, can easily see what's going on. Thanks for the great content!
First two rounds of the game: This is awsome! What a fantastic 2-player game! Mid-game: I'm not sure, there might be some replayability issues. End-game: Ressource collection, resource conversion, contract fulfilment. A few gimmicks but overall it's rinse and repeat. Great video though guys. Thanks a bunch!
This game is fantastic! I find the theme a little bit boring but the game is awesome. Beautiful playthrough John. Bring your wife (from down the hall) more often. More please!
Wow, I love the design of this, they really found a way to stuff as much possible information and mechanics into the cards as possible and they are still beautiful and readable. Very cool. PS: I also think this would be a really easy game to write rules for 3 or 4 players too.
GG, Jessica killed it. This one seems pretty tight: only 5 turns, the resource limit, cards being used every which way, having to keep the bread and beer equal, and having to keep your opponent in check. Very interesting gameplay that I wanna give a try
Yes, it is the first time she's been on camera since then. She has helped me with a few tutorials over the years, but she was off camera telling me what various players did in those cases :P We had a lovely time making this.
This is a fun game, especially to take to the pub! I wish the engine building aspect was a bigger part of the game, though. We've found the game gets a bit 'meaner' with more plays, too.
This is a great game, isn't it. I bought it at Essen Spiel. 2:57 to First round started with 8 wheat on the field instead of 7. (Also round 3, but that is already mentioned in the Klingon subtitles.
Around 36:05 when you had extra resources and said Jessica was maxed out and just put them to the side, doesn’t she also have the option to swap those extra ones for any she has in her storehouse?
Be careful of where resources from your upgrades come from. You had a few tgat got resources in the seeding ohase "from the supply". I dont have the rules in front ofme, but i believe yhat means the buckets off board, not the just seeded fields.
You only pull those harvest cards back into your hand at the start of dry years. You discard all played harvest cards at the end of dry years, and then at the start of the subsequent fruitful year you draw full hands of 5 for each player.
CORRECTIONS:
2:57 - There are actually 8 wheat tokens on the board, not the intended 7.
38:49 - Jessica forgot to pay 1 hop for this card.

Jessica, thanks for participating in the play through.Happy 2023 to both of you.

Love the play through with Jessica joining you. Always the best explanation of games John! Look forward to more with you both!👍🏼😊
Glad you enjoyed this one, we have another one coming out tomorrow :)
That was wonderful. Thank you!! Love the decisions.
Annnnd added to cart. I am really loving 2 player games with my husband lately. I think we will really like this one!
Awesome, I hope you enjoy it :)

What a lovely little game. Wish there was a version / variant that supported more than 2 players or had a solo mode.
Sweet! It seems like a nice game, for the size and length. I wonder how much replay value it has though.

Yeah she did :) Glad you enjoyed this one.
Is this Jessica's first outing since Super Motherload? Love this format Jon! Full playthroughs with what I'm assuming is a bit less stress for you!

I won this game in a competition, haven't played it yet but I'm looking forward to it
Cool, I hope you enjoy it :)

lol another Capstone game :D
I never got to play this game but it looks fun for a 2P game
Wonderful video!
38:50 Jessica forgot to spend the hops for her beer.
Good catch! I've added a correction.

Good catch, thanks for pointing that out. Glad you've been enjoying this game :)
Jon, after you finished your action at 31:40, did you and Jess forget to switch hands, or did it off camera?
Looks like I accidentally cut the swap out of the edit. I appear to be holding different cards the following turn which makes me think we did swap.
Around 36:05 when you had extra resources and said Jessica was maxed out and just put them to the side, doesn’t she also have the option to swap those extra ones for any she has in her storehouse?
No, the opponent can only take those resources if they have open spots. They can't swap for them (unlike the player who ran out of space initially).
@@JonGetsGames gotcha, good to know, and fun playthrough
At around 3:10 you say there should be 7 wheat (the yellow tokens), but you have 8 there.
Good catch, I've added a correction for this. thanks for pointing that out.
...would be so nice to have a tts mod of this game....:)...
I may end up making one, unsure yet :)

Edit- I was wrong.

@@JonGetsGames Ah I stand corrected, you are right. Somehow I managed to miss that and now I’ve embarrassed myself. My apologies!
