She is spoiled AF and her parents are wonderful and supportive. It is a blessing to have people that love you enough to set everything up for you, she is used to it and takes it for granted. I have done everything on my own and thankfully learned to do that from a very early age. Your parents are there to help steward your life not live it for you and pay for everything forever. I'm sure they paid for her education and traveling abroad! They don't owe you anything.

I blame her parents too as much as I blame Ari. You can't enable your child and expect them to be independent at the same time. They should've taught her to be more self reliant a long time ago and she should also realize she's a grown adult in her 30s with a child. At some point you should realize that you have to grow up.

KJ... Agree, the parents should also acknowledge their part in over indulging from the beginning. Once our kids moved out they knew they would be on their own. I think this was just a warning, I doubt they will cut them off right away. I wonder who signed the lease and the hookups, because that is who is responsible for the payments. Ari just stands there listening to everything her parents payed for: down-payment, security deposit, first month's rent, cable set up w/ fast wi-fi, electricity like it's expected. They've been paying for everything, including the Nanny since they've been together. *Then when the father and mother say, they hope within 3 months or so down the road, they can start contributing, the entire mood changed with Ari complaining if she was in the USA alone, she wouldn't of chose such a luxurious apartment with two bedrooms and all the perks. Instead of being grateful and thanking them, she chastises and criticizes them for renting an apartment that is expensive and more luxurious than she would of chose, and then have the audacity to expect them to take over payments ASAP!!!! Instead of saying we will do everything to be able to take over expenses, and we appreciate all your help so far, she complains to the producers that her parents are being unrealistic about wanting them to contribute "so soon." How long have they been living together? Who's been supporting them the entire time in Ethiopia, paying for all the medical bills and nanny for Avi, and funding trips to Kenya to do a trial honeymoon? *Now she says she was hoping her parents would pay for everything long enough for her and Bini to spend time together! How much more time does she need?

Let’s face it, if her parents had gotten them a studio or one bedroom apartment, limited cable/wifi, and payed everything for six months, in other words, something a little more affordable for them, Ariel would have complained about the size of the apartment, about not being able to stream because of the limited cable/wifi… She knew Bini was not going to be able to legally work for probably a year while waiting for his work permit/green card. This grown woman, going into her second marriage, with a child and husband to support expected her parents to continue taking care of her every need. Her problem wasn’t that her parents got more for them than they could afford, it’s that they did not agree to pay everything until whenever she and Bini got jobs. She’s a spoiled brat.

Ari is 30 years old woman and I would be embarrassed if my parents paid my rent let alone set EVERYTHING for me and MY family. Her sense of entitlement is entirely mind-blowing, she had zero planning in place since her time in Ethiopia. It's just ridiculous! If you are a mom and a soon-to-be wife then act like the adult you "are" and get your own things set up. Your parents DO NOT owe you anything. They don't HAVE to do anything for you or your family. They CHOOSE to help you and support YOU and YOUR family. This is disgustingly entitlement beyond belief! Just zip your mouth and put on your big girl pants and actually be the adult you say you are.
Edit: One thing I wanted to add, Avi is two years old. Which means Ari’s parents have been taking care of her for almost three years now (including her pregnancy 9 months). And all they’re asking is for her to pick up a bit of the weight of the burden and responsibilities that comes with taking care of three additional mouths. And they know it’ll probably take them a year or two additional years until Bin is able to work before their all settled. That would mean her parents have been taking care of them for 4 to 5 full years at that point. Her parents are not spring chickens and SHE should be helping them and alleviating that responsibility off them. If I was her sibling I would’ve ripped her a new one by now.

@@CAM0244 Exactly my point! The financial responsibility is far less in Ethiopia vs the states. And your ungrateful self is worry of how they’re going to foot the bill. Um excuse me but they shouldn’t be footing for nothing for you and your family. Moving to Ethiopia was your decision, having a child was your decision, and moving to the states again your decision. So here’s everything for you now go and make your life. She didn’t work in Ethiopia so why did she even have a nanny to begin with? Had she been working and coming up with a game plan than that’s something else. Her parents are doing this on purpose and that’s simply because they’re tired of footing the bill. And she’s so dense minded she doesn’t even see it but instead complains and plays the victim. I can’t stand people that are so entitled and have a false sense of expectation that is not sustainable.

A blessing?? Without the money to pay? Parents had good intentions but this could also turn out to be a burden and a stressor, esp if you are not working

@@user-vb7pr4oc8d didn’t Ari go to college? It’s not like she had to work at Burger King and can’t afford rent. Ari just doesn’t want to work. The hard part about getting a place is finding the money for a security deposit and first months rent. Her parents covered that and will probably cover a couple more months. That’s about THREE months to work and save without paying any bills. Let’s say she gets a job earning about 1,500 every two weeks. 3,000 per month for 3 months is about 9,000. Cut 2,000 for food, miscellaneous and transportation. She’s still left with 7,000 in savings to start taking on some of those bills. She’s actually in a great position than most people. If she has a college degree she can be a paralegal, substitute teach (they actually pay really well in Chicago for subs.), hell most entry level jobs start with 40K salary. Ari has options. She’s just being lazy. Not to mention most industries are in a worker shortage bc of folks quitting their jobs due to COVID. She could also become a server. They make really good money if you can get a job at a mid-high end restaurant. The point is there are options for them. I don’t feel bad for Ari. Ari needs to grow up 🙄

Did Ariella do something to her face?
So she's basically saying her parents should not have chose this home for her. Why were they choosing her home anyway? Did she not know what they were doing? Why didnt she choose a home she knew she could afford with her grown husband?

Right they shouldn't have picked a expensive place Monthly they cant afford that then the cable and so forth. Jeesh here parents dropped the ball well they better start looking for a cheaper place to live and Ari needs a job she can get 1 and Bini can stay home with they kid until he's able to get a job. Is Ariela really going to complain about all the nice things she had setup for her that she clearly always wanted, free of charge? All because her family expects her to pick up the bills 3 MONTHS from then? You know how many people have to struggle to even find a place, much less get it paid for and set up? I'll tell you why she's upset, she expected her parents to continue taking care of everything for her so she could continue to do absolutely nothing, which she's done as long as she's been on here. The only thing Ariela has done is complain. Then saying, "Biniyam hoped coming here would make things better and have more opportunities"? No, she complained, begged and manipulated Biniyam into coming to America the whole time, he never really wanted to leave Ethiopia. Ariela just expected to come back to America and have her parents take care of everything for her like they've been doing for her entire life. She's literally trying to guilt trip them into being financially responsible for her after doing something that they never had to do in the first place. If I was in that position, I'd be happy as hell and deeply grateful! Anybody who thinks the wine to the face wasn't deserved before, it certainly is now. Ariela is all but literally spitting in the face of her parents generosity.
