    Perfect family car, grocery getter and even go fast wagon, especially if it comes with a manual, that’ll be so much fun. Btw, SOA called me since I inquired about it: they said no plans yet to bring it to the states.

      Thanks for sharing and also nice SOA a got back to you on that. Maybe the Mexico release will “test the waters” and see from there.

    I would consider getting a wagon if they made a WRX version but for now, just a WRX.

    Wagons are so cool, you can do a whole lot more with them than a sedan in terms of capacity and carrying capability. Also, in a wagon, if you get carjacked and they put you in the boot, guess what, you still inside the car.

    Oh yeah, if a wagon had been available when I bought my VB last year I certainly would have went wagon. You know what they say: Once you go wagon, you never go back.

    this is kind of exciting, my nephew has been looking at liberty wagons and early 2000 foresters like my 04XT after going for a drive in it. knowing these are in australia may change things, not sure if he'll be interested in an auto though. either way, cheers for the update.

    I'm confused why everyone wants a WRX wagon. Is the extra trunk space that important? It's not like the sedan has a small trunk. Sedan also looks more sporty in my mind, less minivan like.

      Idk man it’s a personal preference thing. Wagons just got an appeal to me.

    I think the wagon version would be fail in the US; however, the front end, rear end and the lack of side cladding on the Levorg gives it a more attractive look than our current US sedan.

    • @johnreed1268

      I Respectfully disagree. If they brought these to the US, they would not be able to keep them in stock.

      @@johnreed1268 I can appreciate your enthusiasm but the sedan isn’t even selling well in the US. Only around 1600 sold last month. Dealers are packed with them.

    Can someone clarify if this is just Mexico getting the Levorg or if it's a new separate WRX sports wagon model?

    • @carswithsepp
      @carswithsepp  2 месяца назад +2

      Mexico is getting the WRX Sport Wagon. Besides the name the WRX Sport Wagon and Levorg are the same. WRX Sport Wagon is the name in Australia and Mexico. Levorg is the name in Japan. However in Japan, the Levorg can come with a smaller 1.6L turbo engine.

    Spec wise, how different are cars in Canada from the U.S.? Some of us might be willing to buy the new WRX wagon in Canada and bring it to the states. But is that even legal?

    • @carswithsepp
      @carswithsepp  2 месяца назад

      Mechanically they should be identical. There might be some non-performance items that may be different though. It’s a good question, I’ve seen a lot of used WRX and STI’s imported from the states into Canada but never one that is brand new.
